METHOD AND DEVICE FOR APPLYING A SEALING MEMBER ONTO A BEVERAGE CAPSULE
The invention relates to a method for applying a sealing member onto the cup-shaped container of a capsule intended for producing a beverage in a beverage production device, wherein the container has a bottom wall, a side wall with an outer surface, an open end and an annular flange which extends from the side wall of the container at the open end; the flange comprising a flange outer surface merging with the outer surface of the side wall at a transition area an flange inner surface opposite to the outer surface for being sealed with a beverage delivery wall, the method comprising the steps of: depositing molten thermoplastic polymer material by a depositing apparatus onto the outer surface of the annular flange and/or onto the transition area, subsequently pressing the thermoplastic polymer material by a punch-die while the material still being plastically deformable so as to conform it in its final shape onto the outer surface of the annular flange and/or onto the transition area thereby forming it into an annular sealing member attached to the container. The invention further relates to a device adapted for carrying out the method.
HEATING APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING BEVERAGE CAPSULES
The present invention related to an apparatus and method for the manufacturing of beverage capsules. The apparatus can preheat the material used to form the beverage material during the manufacturing process. The material and apparatus are particularly suitable for use in producing single serve beverage capsules from biodegradable materials.
Apparatus and method for injection moulding a cap with a tamperproof ring
A method and an apparatus form aluminium screw capsules with a safety ring made of synthetic plastics for tamperproof closing of containers. An aluminium capsule body is inserted into a moulding cavity of a mould conformed and arranged for the overmoulding of a safety ring on an edge of an annular wall of the capsule body. An annular sealing zone is defined for the synthetic plastic material between a first surface of the capsule body and a mould first portion inserted into the central cavity of the capsule body to form a safety ring anchored to the capsule body.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A BEVERAGE CAPSULE WITH SEALING RING
A method for manufacturing a beverage capsule with an outer sealing ring comprised of elastic material involves the following steps: (a) providing a capsule body with a peripheral, flange-like edge for attaching a sealing film; (b) providing a sealing ring comprised of elastic material and adjusted to the flange-like edge; (c) placing the sealing ring and the capsule body in a capsule mount of a sealing device for sealing the capsule body with the sealing film, with the sealing ring arranged between the capsule mount and the flange-like edge of the capsule body; (d) filling the capsule body with a beverage substrate; and sealing the capsule body with the sealing film and simultaneously fastening the sealing ring to the flange-like edge using the sealing device.
System and method for sealing a plastic enclosure
A method and apparatus for sealing a plastic enclosure is provided. The apparatus includes a handle including elements pivotally coupled together at a first end. The apparatus also includes a heating element positioned along an inner surface of an element and connected to a power source where a longitudinal axis of the heating element is oriented parallel with a longitudinal axis of the element. Plastic material including first and second plastic layers is positioned at an interface between the second elements. Upon pivoting the first elements from an open position to a closed position the heating element increases a temperature at the interface to melt the plastic material and form a seal between the first and second plastic layers.
PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF DUAL-CHAMBER CONTAINERS FOR FLUID PRODUCTS OF THE MEDICAL, PHARMACEUTICAL, COSMETIC TYPE OR THE LIKE, AND RELATED STRIP
Process for the manufacture of dual-chamber containers (1) includes steps of: shaping one layer of a plastic material to form at least one semi-finished product (2); closing the semi-finished product (2) inside a forming mould (3); blowing an expansion gas to make the semi-finished product (2) adhere to the forming mould (3) to form a strip (6) comprising at least one pair of vials (7a, 7b), wherein each of the vials (7a, 7b) is provided with: a hollow body (9) comprising a substantially flat first wall (8a) and a substantially curved second wall (8b); a closed delivery neck (12); and an open bottom tang (14);
and wherein the hollow bodies (9) are joined together through a folding attachment portion (11); folding the pair of vials (7a, 7b) around the folding attachment portion (11) between an extended configuration, wherein the first walls (8a) are substantially coplanar, and a configuration of use, wherein the first walls (8a) are facing each other and brought close to each other to obtain a dual-chamber container (1).
Pouch forming mold configuration, and method
A mold configuration for forming a pocket in a film comprising: a film support surface; a perimeter edge at said film support surface; wall surfaces inward of the perimeter edge defining a mold cavity; the wall surfaces including transition wall surfaces extending to a bottom wall surface; and a plateau surface inward of the perimeter edge. In one form, the perimeter edge includes sharp corner profile perimeter edge portions defining at least one sharp corner profile. A method of forming a pouch, includes using the disclosed mold configuration.
Bulk enteric capsule shells
The present disclosure relates to aqueous composition comprising hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS) polymer dispersed in water, wherein the dispersed polymer is partially neutralized with at least one alkaline material. The instant disclosure also relates to compositions for use in methods of making capsule shells endowed with bulk enteric properties. The present disclosure also relates to capsules made according with the compositions and methods of the present disclosure.
Calibrated coupling station for components of capsules and apparatus for preparing such capsules
A calibrated coupling station for components of capsules includes an external body and a bag. A through seat for stably housing the external body supports the bag and is arranged on an articulated sector of a respective advancement component movable along a frame. At least one grip element is aligned with a predefined stop area of the at least one through seat and is movable from a raised configuration in which its terminal end rests on a bottom of the bag, in turn juxtaposed against an inner face of the base of the external body/The grip element is adapted to define an intermediate configuration for a calibrated positioning in which the terminal end, stably coupled to the bottom of the bag, is arranged at a predefined distance from the inner face of the base of the external body.
