A cartridge for use with a beneficial agent delivery device having a tillable reservoir. The cartridge includes a reconstitution, unit dose package having first and second compartments and a fitment. The first compartment contains at least a first constituent of the beneficial agent. The second compartment contains at least a second constituent of the beneficial agent. The fitment is disposed on the package for interfacing the package to the tillable reservoir.

Mixing and/or reconstitution system

Systems and methods for mixing and/or reconstituting drugs are presented. A system may include an injection device, a vial, a needle, and a base station. The device has a chamber containing a first material. The vial has a chamber containing a second material. A drive unit of the base station moves the vial and/or the housing of the device relative to each other into an activated position. In the activated position, the needle is fluidly connected with the vial's chamber, and the drive unit is connected to a driver that moves the plunger in the axial direction of the device such that during fluid connection of the needle with the vial's chamber the first material is expelled from the device's chamber into the vial's chamber or the second material is expelled from the vial's chamber into the device's chamber.

AUTO-INJECTOR WITH ANTI-ROLL FEATURES

The present disclosure relates to a therapeutic agent delivery device with anti-roll features. In one embodiment, a therapeutic agent delivery device may include a tubular body including a first end portion, a second end portion, and a lumen extending between the first end portion and the second portion. An outer surface of the tubular body includes a first opening in communication with the lumen. The outer surface of the tubular body further may include a ledge extending around a periphery of the first opening, and a portion of the ledge closest to the second end portion of the tubular body may be shaped as an arrowhead. The therapeutic agent delivery device also may include a cap configured to engage the second end portion of the tubular body, wherein the cap may include a central longitudinal axis, a first end having a first cross-sectional dimension, and a second end having a second cross-sectional dimension larger than the first cross-sectional dimension. The cap may further include a curved sidewall extending radially outward from the first end to the second end, and the curved sidewall may include a protrusion.

SYSTEM FOR OPERATING SYRINGE

Proposed is a system for operating a syringe. The system includes an apparatus for operating a syringe in which a syringe filled with one or more fluids is mounted and that includes a motor configured to selectively discharge the one or more fluids filled in the syringe by moving forward and backward a piston of the syringe, and a controller configured to control movement of the piston of the syringe through the motor, in which the controller moves the piston to follow a predetermined motion on the basis of a set mode when recognizing a request to operate or stop the apparatus for operating a syringe.

GLASS SYRINGE BARRELS WITH INCREASED CONE BREAKING FORCES

A glass syringe barrel is provided that has an at least partially conically shaped upper portion and a longitudinal axis. The glass syringe barrel has a top end through which a liquid can be ejected and a bottom end into which a plunger stopper can be pushed. The glass syringe barrel includes, in a direction from the top end to the bottom end, a cone, a shoulder region, and a body region. The shoulder region has and outer contour that has a concave and substantially circular arc-shaped area c.sub.1 with an outer radius r.sub.1. The outer contour of the glass syringe barrel in the shoulder region is defined by a certain value for r.sub.1.

Injection system and method

An injection system includes a syringe body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof and a distal needle interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, forming respective proximal and distal drug chambers. The system further includes a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the proximal stopper member relative to the syringe body. Moreover, the system includes a fluid conveying assembly including a penetrating member configured to penetrate the distal stopper member to fluidly couple the proximal and distal drug chambers, a distal exit tube, and a transfer member disposed at least partially around a portion of the penetrating member and defining a fluid passage. A distal end of the penetrating member is disposed in the distal exit tube.

Medicament Container

The present disclosure relates to a medicament container for accommodating a liquid medicament. The medicament container includes an elongated container barrel defining a longitudinal direction and having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is opposite the distal end. The container barrel includes a proximal container cross section at the proximal end. The elongated container barrel includes a distal container cross section at the distal end and the proximal container cross section is substantially identical to the distal container cross section. The medicament container further includes a seal arranged at the distal end and extending across the distal container cross section, and a retainer engaged with the seal and engaged with the elongated container barrel to fix the seal to the distal end.
