HUMIDIFIER
A humidifier includes a second housing. A water storage tank is in a housing space of the second housing. The tank is detachable through an attachment/detachment port of the second housing. A third introduction hole communicates an inside and an outside of the second housing with each other in the second housing. A first tank hole communicates an inside and an outside of the tank with each other in the tank. Between the second housing and the tank, a first seal member separates a first downstream side flow path leading to an inside of the tank through the third introduction hole and the first tank hole, from an external space of the second housing. The first seal member extends along an inner surface of the second housing to entirely surround the tank, when viewed from a top of the tank.
SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE ATOMIZER WITH FLUID DIRECTION AND MIGRATION PREVENTION
A surface acoustic wave (SAW) atomizer system for use in providing a nebulized medicament to a patient is described. The system may include a SAW atomization engine with an atomization region on a substrate that is separated from the interdigitated transducers (IDTs) on the substrate by a fluid barrier that seals off liquid fed into the atomization region from the adjacent IDTs and electrical contacts driving the IDTs.
HUMIDIFIER RESERVOIR
An integrated respiratory pressure therapy device and humidifier for pressurising and humidifying breathable air to treat a respiratory disorder in a patient, includes a blower configured to pressurise the breathable air; a water reservoir configured to hold a volume of water to be used for humidification of the breathable air, the water reservoir comprising a water reservoir base, a water reservoir lid connected to the water reservoir base, and a compliant portion. The compliant portion is constructed from an elastomeric material and configured to seal between the water reservoir base and the water reservoir lid. A water reservoir dock forms a cavity configured to partially receive the water reservoir. The water reservoir lid includes a protrusion and the water reservoir dock includes a recess configured to releasably engage one another to secure the water reservoir to the water reservoir dock.
Tissue anchoring articles
Self-righting articles, such as self-righting capsules for administration to a subject, are generally provided. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may be configured such that the article may orient itself relative to a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). The self-righting articles described herein may comprise one or more tissue engaging surfaces configured to engage (e.g., interface with, inject into, anchor) with a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). In some embodiments, the self-righting article may have a particular shape and/or distribution of density (or mass) which, for example, enables the self-righting behavior of the article. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may comprise a tissue interfacing component and/or a pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery of the active pharmaceutical agent to a location internal of the subject). In some cases, upon contact of the tissue with the tissue engaging surface of the article, the self-righting article may be configured to release one or more tissue interfacing components. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component is associated with a self-actuating component. For example, the self-righting article may comprise a self-actuating component configured, upon exposure to a fluid, to release the tissue interfacing component from the self-righting article. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component may comprise and/or be associated with the pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery to a location internal to a subject).
HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM
A humidification system has a humidification source and a main gases flow path. The main gases flow path has a low pressure region and a high pressure region. In some embodiments, each of the low pressure region and the high pressure region has an aperture. The pressure difference between the apertures promotes a gases flow between the main gases flow path and the humidification source, and results in humidifying the gases in the main gases flow path.
RESPIRATORY PRESSURE TREATMENT SYSTEM
An apparatus for humidifying a flow of breathable gas includes a water reservoir including a chamber structured to hold a volume of water, a water reservoir dock structured and arranged to receive the water reservoir in an operative position, and a latch movable between (1) a locked position to releasably lock the water reservoir to the water reservoir dock in the operative position, and (2) an unlocked position to allow insertion of the water reservoir into the water reservoir dock and removal of the water reservoir from the water reservoir dock.
HUMIDIFIER START-UP METHOD AND SYSTEM EMPLOYING SAME
A method for operating a humidifier coupled to a gas flow generator. The humidifier has a pump providing a supply of water to a heater plate. The method includes: providing power to the gas flow generator; raising the temperature of the heater plate from an ambient temperature to about a first predetermined temperature; powering the pump at about a predetermined first duty cycle; monitoring the temperature of the heater plate until one of: a drop in temperature is detected, or a predetermined period of time has elapsed; and one of: increasing the duty cycle of the pump if the drop in temperature is detected, or turning off the pump if the predetermined period of time has elapsed.
Methods For Ensuring Resuspension Of Paliperidone Palmitate Formulations
Provided are methods for improving resuspendability of a paliperidone palmitate extended-release injectable suspension within a syringe, for reducing a force required for injection of a paliperidone palmitate extended-release injectable suspension, or for reducing the likelihood of incomplete injection of a paliperidone palmitate extended-release injectable suspension comprising maintaining the syringe in a desired orientation during shipping of the syringe that varies from the orientation of the syringe during pre-shipping storage. Also provided are populations of syringes that respectively contain paliperidone palmitate extended release injectable suspension, wherein each of the syringes have been shipped to a destination, and the syringes were each maintained in a desired orientation during shipping of the syringe that varies from the orientation of the syringe during pre-shipping storage. The present disclosure also provides pharmaceutical products comprising a paliperidone palmitate extended-release injectable suspension within a syringe for administration to a patient suffering from schizophrenia, wherein the syringe has undergone pre-shipping storage and has been shipped, and wherein the syringe has been maintained in an orientation during the shipping that varies from the orientation of the syringe during pre-shipping storage.
UNIVERSAL BACTERIA FILTER APPARATUS FOR OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS
An all-in-one, universal bacteria filter apparatus which (i) can be used with oxygen concentrators produced by numerous different manufactures, (ii) can be used with concentrators of different capacities, and (ii) can be use in both vertical and horizontal orientations.
CLOSED-LOOP DETECTION AND TREATMENT OF RADIATION AND TOXIC AGENTS
Articles, systems, and methods for rapid administration and active pharmaceutical compositions to subjects exposed to radiation and/or toxins are provided by this disclosure. There are currently few interventional technologies to protect against long-term morbidity and mortality from exposure to radiation and chemical warfare. Furthermore, as commercially available technologies such as additive manufacturing and small-scale chemical reactors have become more prevalent, the risk of misuse of such technologies by terrorists and rogue nation states to manufacture nuclear, radiologic, and chemical weapons continues to increase. Articles, systems, and methods described herein combine sensing technologies with drug release components, in order to provide an approach for rapid diagnosis of and response to exposure to radiation and toxic agents.
