Systems and Methods for Monitoring Operations of an Infusion Delivery Device Using a Pressure Sensor

The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and processes for delivering therapeutic fluids. Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to medical devices for housing a therapeutic fluid, and methods and systems for monitoring in an infusion delivery device, using a pressure sensor of the device, one or more of: (A) fill event detection; (B) fill volume detection; (C) mechanical compliance calibration/air detection of an infusion management system after fill event and priming; (D) occlusion detection after removal of insertion seal assembly; (E) detecting fluid path deployment of an infusion delivery device; (F) monitoring for occlusion detection during pump use; and (G) detecting an empty reservoir.

DROPLET DEVICE WITH SURFACE TENSION PLATE

An electronically actuated droplet delivery device with a mouthpiece for inhaling fluid droplets includes an ejector mechanism having an electronic actuator operably coupled to an aperture plate. A fluid reservoir provided fluid to the ejector mechanism through a surface tension plate that increases contact between the fluid from the fluid reservoir and the aperture plate.

DROPLET DEVICE WITH INERTIAL FILTERING

An electronically actuated droplet delivery device includes a housing with an airflow exit at a mouthpiece and an airflow entrance in fluid communication with the airflow exit via an airflow channel. An aperture plate coupled to an electronic actuator energized by a power source produces a droplet plume from a fluid reservoir in fluid communication with the aperture plate. A change of airflow trajectory in the airflow channel and/or a fan provides inertial filtering and removal of droplets in the plume that have a mass mean aerodynamic diameter greater than 5 m.

DROPLET DEVICE WITH CUSTOMIZABLE RESISTANCE

An electronically actuated droplet delivery device includes a housing with a removable mouthpiece that provides a level of air resistance and is interchangeable with alternative mouthpieces that provide alternative levels of air resistance. The level of air resistance can be customized to a particular user of the droplet delivery device by using air resistance elements having different sizes and/or numbers of openings that correspond to different internal air resistance for a droplet deliver device.

DROPLET DELIVERY DEVICE WITH LOCATION CONTROL

A method for controlling dosing of droplet delivery device includes providing a droplet delivery device, such as an inhaler, to a user, verifying a location of the user with the droplet delivery device, such as by GPS, and enabling dosing of the drug in droplets ejected from the device based on the verifying of the location of the user.

A case for an electronic cigarette vaporiser, the case including an automatic lifting mechanism that lifts the vaporiser up a few mm from the case to enable a user to easily grasp the vaporiser and withdraw it from the case. The lifting mechanism can be spring-based. The case both re-fills the vaporiser with liquid and also re-charges a battery in the vaporiser.

Breast pump assembly

Systems and methods for pumping milk from a breast, wherein the milk is expressed from the breast under suction and milk is expulsed from the pumping mechanism to a collection container under positive pressure.

SAFETY FEATURES FOR A PRESCRIPTION-CONTROLLED, METERED-DOSE, AEROSOL INHALER DEVICE

An inhaler apparatus includes a receiver port configured to receive a keyed canister with an inhalation substance. The receiver port includes a key shape to receive a keyed receiver top of the keyed canister. The apparatus includes a wireless data module configured to read encrypted data from and write encrypted data to a memory chip affixed to a side of the keyed canister, a lockout device configured to prevent the keyed canister from dispensing a metered dose of the inhalation substance while locked, and a dispenser module configured to maintain the lockout device in the locked state, to read a next metered dose data from the memory chip, to unlock the locking device at a time for the next metered dose, to lock the lockout device in response to a user dispensing the next metered dose, and writing the time of the dose to the memory chip.

DROPLET DELIVERY DEVICE INCLUDING FLUID RESERVOIR WITH FLEXIBLE AMPOULE

A fluid reservoir of a droplet delivery device includes a shell, such as a hard shell, containing a flexible ampoule with liquid in the ampoule. The flexible ampoule releases liquid for ejection from the droplet delivery device when the fluid reservoir is coupled to the droplet delivery device.

DROPLET DEVICE WITH COMBINATION RESERVOIR AND EJECTOR MECHANISM

An electronically actuated droplet delivery device with a mouthpiece for inhaling fluid droplets, an ejector mechanism with a fluid reservoir combined in a removable module with an aperture having a plurality of openings formed through its thickness configured to generate an ejected stream of droplets, and an electronic actuator operably coupled to oscillate the aperture plate at a frequency that generates an ejected stream of droplets.
