DEVICE FOR TEMPORARY, LOCAL ADMINISTRATION OF FLUIDS
20210077775 · 2021-03-18 · ·

One aspect relates to a device for local administration of a medical fluid having a hose which is flexibly deformable and has a hose wall. The hose wall has an outer wall of a first material, which is arranged radially to the outside, and the an inner wall of a second material, which is arranged radially to the inside and which delimits an inner conduit of the hose. In a distal portion of the hose, the hose has multiple orifices in the hose wall. The multiple orifices connect the inner conduit with the surroundings of the hose. The distal portion is delimited by a distal end, the device further having a closing element with which the hose is closable. The closing element is manually insertable into the distal end of the hose. A proximal end of the hose is connectable with a container for the medical fluid such that the medical fluid is able to be forced out of the container through the proximal end of the hose into the inner conduit of the hose and forced through the multiple orifices to the surroundings of the hose.

An implantable vascular access port has a main port body with one or more hollow internal chambers formed therein each with a floor at the base of the internal chamber. The port body has an outlet aperture formed in a sidewall there of the internal chamber. One or more parallel, lateral, or angled-access apertures, relative to the port floor and associated septa are located opposite the outlet aperture in the main port body in a sidewall there of (parallel or lateral or angled-access aperture or septum), with at least a one perpendicular-access aperture and septum located opposite the floor of the internal chamber(s). The port chamber in the area of the outlet aperture has an at least partially conical shape directionally aligned with the parallel or lateral or angled-access aperture and septum, with said outlet aperture in contiguity a reversible outlet tube or port body needle locking mechanism.

DEVICE FOR TEMPORARILY, LOCALLY APPLYING FLUIDS
20210077739 · 2021-03-18 · ·

One aspect relates to a device for locally applying a medical fluid, including a flexibly deformable tube including a tube wall. The tube includes a plurality of openings in the tube wall, the plurality of openings connecting an inner line of the tube to the surroundings of the tube, and the tube being closed at a distal tube. A proximal tube end of the tube is liquid-permeably connectable to a container for the medical fluid such that the medical fluid from the container can be pushed through the proximal tube end of the tube into the inner line of the tube and can be pushed out through the plurality of openings into the surroundings of the tube. The device includes an outer sleeve for closing a subset of the plurality of openings, the outer sleeve being axially movably arranged around the tube, and being shorter than the tube such that the distal openings that are not part of the closed subset of the plurality of openings are exposed.

INTESTINAL ATTACHMENT DEVICE

An intestinal attachment device is provided that includes an ingestible housing with a chamber having disposed therein a low-profile ribbon with a head that serves as a single attachment area for an anchor sized and configured to attach to the mucosal surface of an intestine. A disposable material is also disposed within the chamber and at least partially surrounds the ribbon. An anchor is disposed within the housing and is attached to the head of the low-profile ribbon. The anchor has a constrained and a non-constrained state and is sized and configured to attach to the mucosal surface of the intestine. The anchor is at least partially surrounded by a dissolvable material.

SHEATH ASSEMBLY FOR INSERTION OF A CORD-SHAPED ELEMENT, PARTICULARLY A CATHETER, INTO THE BODY OF A PATIENT

Sheath assembly for the insertion of a cord-shaped element, comprising an introducer sheath, and an auxiliary sheath for insertion into the introducer sheath together with the cord-shaped element. In some examples, the auxiliary sheath has a housing configured to detachably couple to the introducer sheath housing, and to detachably fasten the cord-shaped element with respect to the auxiliary sheath housing.

HOUSING FOR BIOLOGIC MATERIALS AND OTHER SURGICAL DEVICES, AND METHODS OF USE THEREFOR

Various embodiments for an apparatus for delivering a biologic into a human or animal subject are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a housing comprising an interior chamber, the housing having a shape and size for insertion into a human or animal subject. A biologic is positioned within the interior chamber that is removable from the housing while the housing is inserted into the human or animal subject.

Systems and methods for minimally invasive drug delivery to a subarachnoid space

Endovascular drug delivery systems and methods are disclosed herein for delivering a therapeutic agent to the intracranial subarachnoid space of a patient, and/or deploying an endovascular drug delivery device distal portion in the intracranial subarachnoid space and a portion of the drug delivery device body in a dural venous sinus such that a therapeutic agent is delivered from the deployed drug delivery device into the intracranial subarachnoid space.

Systems and methods for radiographically identifying an access port

A method for manufacturing an implantable access port, including forming a port body. The port body can include a fluid cavity located in a central region, the fluid cavity having a base surface lying in a first plane, and a plurality of recessed sections located in a peripheral region surrounding the central region, the plurality of recessed sections having a depth extending from a bottom surface of the peripheral region through the first plane. The method further includes locating a septum over the fluid cavity, and positioning a radiopaque insert in the plurality of recessed sections.

System and method for delivering a catheter

Systems and methods for delivering a catheter to a location of interest in the vasculature, the method including selectively positioning a guidewire at the location, positioning a self-expanding sheath within a lumen of the catheter, advancing the catheter and the self-expanding sheath in tandem over the guidewire, and distally moving a distal end of the self-expanding sheath out from an inner lumen of the catheter thereby causing the self-expanding sheath to move from a collapsed state within the catheter to an expanded state outside the catheter.
