METHOD FOR MOLDING COMPOSITE MATERIAL, JIG FOR MOLDING COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A method for molding composite material such as a spar formed with a curved corner part is provided with: a first shaping step of shaping a laminate so that the board thickness of the laminate is reduced from the outside of the corner part toward the inside thereof, the laminate having the corner part curved at a first bending angle and comprising fiber sheets laminated to each other; and a second shaping step of curving the corner part of the laminate to form a second bending angle smaller than the first bending angle, and shaping the laminate so that the board thickness of the laminate is reduced from the inside of the corner part toward the outside thereof.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CURVED FIBER PREFORM FROM A BI- OR MULTIDIRECTIONAL FIBER SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT
A device for producing a curved fiber preform from a bi- or multidirectional fiber semi-finished product, in particular for an aircraft or spacecraft fuselage component has first lamellae and second lamellae formed to be couplable to one another criss-cross such that they are positioned on a shared plane and thus form a grid. The lamellae at least in part are formed resiliently bendable about an axis intersecting the shared plane such that a local orientation of the lamellae in the grid changes. An adhesion device or structure is formed for temporarily adhering the fiber semi-finished product and is configured such that the local fiber orientation of the fiber semi-finished product also changes accordingly when the lamellae bend.
CURVED PLATE PRODUCTION BY ADDITIVE LAYER MANUFACTURE
A method of producing a curved plate by additive layer manufacture is provided. The method includes building up the plate layer-by-layer such that a first layer forms a bottom edge of the plate and the plate is additively extended upwards therefrom by subsequent layers such that a last layer forms an opposing top edge of the plate. In this way, spaced, first and second lateral edges of the plate each grow layer-by-layer to extend between respective ends of the bottom and top edges. The plate thus built up arches over from the bottom edge to adopt a curved shape on cross-sections through the plate normal to the bottom edge.
System and method for producing composite component
A system and method for producing a composite component, especially for continuous production of such composite components, includes a feeding device for feeding one or more layers of reinforcing material from a material supply along a process path, a resin application device for applying a resin matrix to the reinforcing material fed along the process path, and a forming device configured to shape or mould a profile of the reinforcing material and the resin matrix applied thereto to form a composite component as the reinforcing material is fed or conveyed along the process path.
Stormwater chamber with stackable reinforcing ribs
An arch-shaped corrugated chamber having corrugation peaks and valleys, with reinforcing ribs provided on the corrugation peaks. The ribs extend upwardly from a chamber base to a rib upper end, and have an arch-shaped cross-section with an outer surface extending outwardly from a corrugation peak and a fin extending inwardly from the corrugation peak, and optionally, a rib line provided on the rib outer surface on the rib arch-shaped cross-section. A channel formed by the inner surface of the rib is sized to receive a corresponding rib of a second chamber so that multiple similar chambers with ribs may be stacked together.
Arcuate fiber composite plastic preform and method for production of curved profiles
An arcuate fiber composite plastic preform and a method for the production of curved profiles with any fiber layer structure are disclosed, which include a layered fiber structure with a base and an arcuate outer contour, an inner edge and an outer edge. The fiber layer structure is configured with a first inner area provided with elevations and depressions, a second adjacent central area with no elevations and depressions and a third outer area and provided with radially oriented open recesses. The method of producing curved profiles from fiber composite plastic preforms having any fiber layer structure includes a molding step, whereby the outer area of the preform with wedge-shaped recesses is being compressed while the inner relief-shaped area is being completely stretched thereby flattening the relief.
Device for consolidating a preform
A device for consolidating a thermoplastic preform, in particular a carbon fiber thermoplastic preform includes a heating element, e.g., an LED array, for heating the preform and a consolidation element, e.g., a consolidation roller, for exposing the preform to pressure and for cooling the preform. In order to consolidate the preform, the heating element and consolidation element are arranged and movable relative to each other in such a way that the preform can be exposed to pressure and cooled by the consolidation element after heated by means of the heating element.
Apparatus and methods for making frozen banana food products
An apparatus and method for making frozen food products from a fruit puree, i.e. a flowable banana meat or a flowable blend of fruit meat and other edible ingredients. A composition that includes peeled bananas and at least one antioxidant may be mixed in a mixing device at ambient temperature and under less than one atmosphere of pressure, forming the puree. The temperature of the puree is reduced to a semi-frozen state by passing the puree through a heat exchanger. The semi-frozen puree is then formed into food products with a pre-determined volume, shape, and weight by a molding or extrusion process. Sticks, if desired, may be inserted, and the shaped puree is then frozen to solidified cores. The solidified cores may be coated with chocolate and treated with other edible toppings and then packaged.
HORSE SHOEING, ESPECIALLY FOR RACEHORSES
There is shown and described a shoeing for horses, in particular for racehorses being used in competition, constructed from a core made of fiber-reinforced plastic material which is surrounded by a functional layer made of plastic.
According to the invention it is provided that the core is formed substantially from a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polymer material (i.e. a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic) and the functional layer is formed substantially from a thermoplastic polycarbonate material or a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic polycarbonate material (i.e. a thermoplastic or a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic).
Furthermore there is shown and described a thermoplastic injection molding method for producing the shoeing.
Method of manufacturing a curved profile made of composite material from a rectilinear preform of fiber plies
A method of manufacturing a curved profile from a rectilinear preform of pre-impregnated fiber plies. The method includes stacking plies on a deformable mandrel and winding the deformable mandrel and the stacked plies on a bending tool along a rotation axis, the profile comprising a stack of N plies. At least one first section of the profile is arranged along a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation and at least one second section is arranged in a plane parallel to the axis. The method includes the steps of stacking the N plies of fibers on the deformable mandrel, bending in a single step the N plies sandwiched between the deformable mandrel and the bending tool and polymerizing the bent N plies. The curved profile comprises M plies with fibers oriented at A relative to a longitudinal direction and M+/5% plies with fibers oriented at A.
