Sanitizing steam room
20220054690 · 2022-02-24 ·

A steam room for sanitizing people's external body parts and clothes, but also their breathing airways and respiratory tract, to reduce viral load and thereby mitigate the likelihood of spreading or contracting Viral contamination. Steam room has precise temperature and relative humidity control of a heater and mist generator, in which the mist water molecules contain an accurate concentration of a Chlorine or Ethanol based disinfectant, so that the water vapor or combined air/water mixture in the room that comes in contact with the sanitized person reaches but does not surpass the globally permitted concentration of free Chlorine for swimming pools, dressing rooms and spas. The room has thermally isolated quick doors allowing rapid entry and exit, and the signaling to guide the person when to enter, stay and breath, and exit, in the most suitable timing profile for the application.

The present invention provides a 2-way air flow type dispenser for spraying powder and a powder sprayer including the same. The present invention adopts a 2-way air flow manner in which an air flow causing the powder to be sprayed and an air flow causing the powder to be transferred from a container to a spraying nozzle are separately formed, thereby enabling the smooth spraying of the powder.

FLUID WARMING SYSTEM
20170333630 · 2017-11-23 ·

There is disclosed a fluid warming system (300) for warming intravenous fluid, comprising: a heater unit (304), including a heating element (314) and at least one temperature sensor; a heat exchanger unit (302), removably attachable to the heater unit (304), which includes an inlet (306) and an outlet (308) through which the fluid can pass, and a controller (316), programmed: to receive at least one temperature measurement (T.sub.CI, T.sub.CO) from said at least one temperature sensor in the heater unit (304); to compute a fluid flow rate (q), corresponding to the rate of flow of fluid from the inlet (306) to the outlet (308) of the heat exchanger unit (302), in dependence on the amount of electrical power (P.sub.H) supplied to the heating element and said at least one temperature measurement (T.sub.CI, T.sub.CO); and to control the electrical power (P.sub.H) supplied to the heating element in dependence on the computed fluid flow rate (q).

HANDHELD MEDICAL SUBSTANCE DISPENSING SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHODS

Various handheld medical dispensing configurations and methods including the following: Handheld medical dispensing system comprises a syringe, which has a plunger, releasably mounted to syringe actuation apparatus, the apparatus having an actuator configured such that it can move the plunger more than once to dispense a plurality of amounts of substance from the syringe and having a housing adapted for singled handed administration of an injection.

Personal inhaling device

A personal inhaling apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an ultrasonic personal inhaler with ultra-fine mist transducer that delivers both cool and warm mist using a heater, a face mask, a fluid supply means, and a power source including batteries and/or corded power supply. The apparatus may include a receptacle for a scented pad placed in contact with the heater. Indicators functioning in a pre-determined manner provide indication on if the device is delivering a cool mist, a warm mist, is switched-OFF, a level of charge of a power source, and a level of the fluid in the fluid supply means.

Humidified respiratory gas supply system

A blower unit for use as part of an integrated blower/humidification system is described. The blower unit has an outer casing, which encloses and forms part of the blower unit, the casing including an air inlet vent. The blower unit further includes a humidifier compartment for receiving a humidifier unit with a separate gases inlet and outlet, the compartment having a heater base for heating the contents of the humidifier unit. The compartment also has a blower inlet port which aligns with the humidifier unit inlet in use, the blower providing a gases path through the casing between the inlet vent and the inlet port. The blower unit also includes a fan for providing a pressurised gases stream along the gases path, and a power supply unit for powering the fan. The gases path is routed over the power supply unit in order to provide a cooling air flow.
