In one aspect the present disclosure refers to a supplementary device (10) for a manually operable injection device (1), the supplementary device comprising: a body (11) attachable to an elongated housing (2) of the injection device (1), at least one connector (12, 14) connected to the body (11) and connectable to the housing (2), wherein the body (11) is attachable to the housing (2) via the at least one connector (12, 14), a sensor arrangement (20) coupled to at least one of the body (11) and the at least one connector (12, 14) and configured to measure a longitudinal force component (F) acting between the at least one connector (12, 14) and the body (11) in a direction parallel to the elongation of the housing (2).
Device and method for determining information related to a medical device
The invention relates to an apparatus (2, 3), comprising a mating unit (20-1, 20-2) for releasably attaching the apparatus (2) to a medical device (1) or for releasably receiving at least a part of the medical device (1). The apparatus (2, 3) further comprises one or more optical sensors (25, 26) and/or one or more acoustical sensors (27) for determining information related to a condition and/or use of the medical device (1). The invention further relates to a system comprising such an apparatus (2, 3) and such a medical device (1), to a method (500, 600, 700) and a computer program (61) for determining information related to a condition and/or use of such a medical device (1), and to a computer-readable medium (60) storing such a computer program (61).
Orientation Indicator for a Medicament Delivery Device, a Medicament Delivery Device Comprising the Orientation Indicator, and a Trainer for a Medicament Delivery Device, Which Trainer Comprises the Orientation Indicator
Orientation indicator for a medicament delivery device, which orientation indicator comprises a support element 20, an activation member 22 movable between a first position and a second position, an electrical circuit comprising a signal switch 29, a signalling element 26 connected to the electrical circuit, and wherein the activation 5 member 22 may move under gravitational force when the support element 20 is tilted, to actuate the signal switch 29, such that a signal may be generated by the signalling element 26.
ELECTRONIC ADD-ON MODULE FOR INJECTION APPLIANCES
The invention relates to an electronic add-on module which is fitted releasably onto an automatic injection appliance before the start of injection. The add-on module comprises a force sensor for measuring a time-variable axial force component exerted on or transmitted to the attached add-on module by the injection appliance during an injection procedure. The add-on module also comprises a grip or a preferred grip position for gripping and holding the add-on module and the inserted injection appliance. The add-on module can additionally have a microphone for detection of acoustic signals. A state of the injection appliance can be determined by the add-on module solely on the basis of measurements of the axial force sensor, optionally supplemented by microphone measurements. The invention thus affords a straightforward and cost-effective way of monitoring or controlling the correct performance of an injection procedure carried out with an automatic injection appliance.
INFUSION SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS THEREOF
Certain embodiments provide multi-medicament infusion systems for preventing the cross-channeling of medicaments. The system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, collars, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. The medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system selected configurations.
BUTTON AND BUTTON ASSEMBLY FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A button for a drug delivery device with a reduced operating loudness includes a plate-like button body forming a touch surface, wherein the plate-like button body is coupled by an axial supporting member to a noise-generating interface of the drug delivery device and movable into a longitudinal direction of the drug delivery device, wherein the plate-like button body includes a material composite with at least one first component consisting of a first material and at least one second component consisting of a second material different from the first material, wherein the at least one first component and the at least one second component are coupled via at least one coupling plane that is at least section wise slanted or perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Further, the disclosure describes a button assembly for a drug delivery device which is shock resistant.
Acoustic detection of a usage of an injection device
Implementations of the present disclosure are directed to an injection device (102) including a medicament reservoir (103) configured to store a medicament to be expelled by the injection device (102), an acoustic source (122a, 122b, 122c, 122d, 200, 300, 400) configured to generate an acoustic signal including information indicative of an amount of the medicament stored in the medicament reservoir (103), the acoustic signal being transmitted to an external device (104) configured to process the acoustic signal and to extract injection device data.
Feedback Mechanism for a Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure relates to a feedback mechanism for a drug delivery device, the feedback mechanism comprising a bushing, the bushing comprising a central aperture adapted to accommodate a piston rod, wherein one or more resilient flaps are provided on the bushing, the flaps extending into the central aperture to allow them to engage one or more transversal ribs on the piston rod.
Air resistance device
An attachment for a harmonica or a pulmonary harmonica may include a resistance band or modified comb which increases respiratory resistance from the typical open holes of harmonicas. The resistance band or modified comb may prevent a broken reed from being inhaled into the mouth.
Flow regulating inhaler device
An inhaler device for pulmonary delivery of at least one substance from a drug dose cartridge to an inhaling user, including: a first conduit for conducting a carrier airflow to a proximal opening of a mouthpiece for use by the user; a holder configured to position the dose cartridge within the carrier airflow; and a second conduit for conducting a shunting airflow to the mouthpiece without passing through the dose cartridge position. In some embodiments, a controller connected to a valve controls a rate of carrier airflow, for example by controlling the shunting airflow, based on a sensor indication of airflow rate and a target airflow profile.
