A fruit press has shafts which are mounted in a frame for two pressing rollers, which can be driven in opposite directions, and for two ram heads, which are provided below the pressing rollers and form pressing rams that interact with pressing recesses of the pressing rollers. The fruit press has a blade, which is displaceable in a blade guide between the pressing rollers. The pressing rollers and the ram heads, which can be removed from their respective shafts, are held between a rear wall and a front mount of a handling unit detachably fastened to the frame. To achieve advantageous design conditions, the pressing rollers and the ram heads, which are supported axially on the front mount, are detachably held between bearing projections of the rear wall and receptacles in the region of the front mount.

Process for recovering organics from material recovery facility fines
11890656 · 2024-02-06 · ·

A system and process for separating organic material from solid waste such as material recovery facility (MRF) fines is disclosed. The fines are treated in a press, in which the fines are compressed against a wall having a set of holes. The fines are mixed with a substantial amount of water before being pressed. The water increases the amount of organic matter that is recovered from the fines. A wet fraction, extruded through the holes of the press, may be treated in an anaerobic digester.

BAR SOAP FORMING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF FORMING SHAPED SOAP BARS FROM SOAP SLABS
20190359916 · 2019-11-28 ·

A soap bar forming apparatus and method for forming a soap bar by compression welding a plurality of soap slabs is configured to mechanically weld a plurality of soap slabs into a single soap bar of a usable size. The soap slabs are placed on the open top chamber of the lower casing in a flat stacked position. The upper casing is then placed over the lower casing and then both the casings are tied in place by the Velcro straps. The upper casing detachably couples to the lower casing and a pair of detachable straps fasten the casings together. A drive member presses the soap slabs together, and comprises a rotatable compression screw terminating at a compression plate, and an E-Ring that fastens the compression screw and compression plate together, and allows the compression screw to rotate while the compression plate moves up and down without twisting. The rotatable compression screw rotatably passes through the threaded drive hole in the upper casing, forcibly urging the compression plate onto the soap slabs to compress the soap slabs into a single large soap bar.

Juicing system with variable pressing parameters

A juicer cartridge includes a liquid impermeable compartment at least partially surrounding food matter. An information region may be disposed on the liquid impermeable compartment, wherein the information region includes information for controlling at least one pressing parameter for pressing the juicer cartridge, such as a desired pressing speed, force profile, pressing temperature, total pressing stroke, number of pauses, number of press and/or retract cycles, and a distance of a press and/or retract cycle. The juicer cartridge may be used by placing it in the pressing chamber of a juicer that reads information from the information region and presses the juicer cartridge using the information.

Continuously operating filtering apparatus

A deep fat fryer with continuous oil filtering and purging of sediments therefrom during uninterrupted fryer operation is provided. The filter includes a cylindrical hollow housing with a first end and a second end and a hollow cylindrical screen with a longitudinal axis and first and second ends. The screen is disposed coaxially within the hollow housing to define an annulus therebetween. A piston mounted within the screen and reciprocatingly movable along the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends of the screen. A pump, seal, and associate motor are provided to provide continuous oil flow through the filter and the remainder of the fryer. A heat exchanger is provided downstream of the pump to transfer heat from the fryer to the oil flowing through the heat exchanger.

PORTABLE HEATED PRESS
20190291376 · 2019-09-26 ·

A portable heated press device is disclosed that has an upper and lower member, each having an electrically heated platen, hingedly attached to one another near the platens. The lever design allows for multiplying the force applied to the member. An insulator ring is used to thermally insulate the heat from the platens from the handles of the device. The device can include a locking mechanism at the end opposite the platens to apply and maintain pressing force at the platens. The device can also be opened to 180 degrees to allow one platen to be used as a hot plate.

EXTRACTING SUBSTANCES FROM BOTANICAL MATTER
20190270032 · 2019-09-05 ·

A useful substance is extracted from botanical feedstock by mechanically compressing the feedstock and pumping a solvent through the compressed feedstock at high pressure while applying compressive mechanical force against the feedstock. Movement of pressurized solvent through the compressed feedstock may increase the volume of solvent in contact with the feedstock. Flow of solvent under pressure may also present a shearing force that facilitates dissociation of the useful substance from the feedstock.

HEATED PRESS UTILIZING A PIVOTING ACTUATING TRUSS FOR EXTRACTION OF OILS
20190263079 · 2019-08-29 ·

A heat press for extracting fluid, such as oil, from a biological plant. A lower heat platen is fixedly attached to a main frame and an upper heat platen is retractably positioned opposite to the lower heat platen. A pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder or a manual or electronic linear actuator provides pressure to an actuation means that is operatively connected to the upper heat platen for initiating movement. A control mechanism that consists of a single pressure regulator system or a dual pressure regulator system is used to control pressure of a pressing operation of the heat press. Alternatively, a digital regulator system can be used to control pressure, time, and temperature of a pressing operation of the heat press. At least one of the upper and lower heat platens has embedded heating elements and an isolated thermocouple. A user interface panel, having an LCD display, a user keyboard, or a touchscreen display is also mounted to the main enclosure.

LEMON SQUEEZER

An improved lemon squeezer comprises of a stand. The stand has a footprint that extends outward from the front of the stand. The stand defines a top and a bottom plate. The bottom plate is a plate that defines a plurality of depression and it defines a fluid receiving a cavity. The top plate defines a plurality of protrusions that insert within the bottom plates depressions when the plates are squeezed together via a lever mechanism that is attached to the top plate.
