The present disclosure may include a press screw separator configured for separating solid components from a slurry containing solid and liquid components. The separator may include a housing, a frame arranged in the housing, and a cylindrical screen which is arranged at least partially in the frame. The separator may also include a screw adapted for pressing out the slurry, which screw may be arranged within the screen and mounted so as to be rotationally movable about a longitudinal axis of the screen. The frame may be mounted in the housing without any clearance.

Disclosed is a compression type dehydrator including: an upper plate that includes a pressurizing portion and a first guide adjacent to the pressurizing portion and spaced apart from the pressurizing portion, and performs a vertical movement by a hydraulic cylinder; a feed plate that includes a hollow portion and a first guide groove surrounding the hollow portion and guiding the vertical movement of the first guide, and is positioned on a lower portion of the upper plate; a slurry supply line connected to the feed plate; a lower plate positioned on a lower portion of the feed plate and having a plurality of holes formed therein; and a dehydration means including a filtration belt positioned in close contact with an upper portion of the lower plate.

A filter bag assembly for a juice press is assembled from a unitary sheet of fabric and at least one coupling member and/or belt. The fabric sheet is foldable along a transverse fold line and then along left and right fold lines to form a seamless bag having left and right side margins each having four sheet layers. A left coupling member may be arranged to gather at least two of the four sheet layers of the left side margin, and a right coupling member may be arranged to gather at least two of the four sheet layers of the right side margin. Each belt connects the left side margin to the right side margin. Preformed holes in the fabric sheet are positioned to allow the coupling members and belt(s) to be installed to retain the folded bag. The assembled bag is inexpensive and the fabric sheet is replaceable.

A device for dewatering feedstock that is pourable or free-flowing by compression and segments for use with such a device. A housing has a shell pipe in which a shaft with flights running around its circumference rotates around an axis of rotation. A feedstock is transported through the housing and compressed. The pressate is conveyed out of the device through holes in the shell pipe. An internal pipe is provided within the shell pip. The internal pipe has numerous segments with holes. The outer surface of the segments rests directly on the inner surface of the shell pipe. The holes in the segments overlay the holes in the shell pipe. The segments are made of wear-resistant cast or sintered material.

A device for dewatering feedstock that is pourable or free-flowing by compression and segments for use with such a device. A pathologic staging compression device prepares a biological sample for pathologic staging by compressing the sample to remove liquid fat from the sample. In one embodiment, the apparatus preferably includes a compression tube, a removable drainage planum to hold the compression tube, a fat containment and drainage system, a gauge to monitor the extrusion force, use of hydraulic pressure to generation the extrusion force for sample compression, and ejection of the compressed sample after the compression tube has been removed from the drainage planum. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes an integrated riser assembly to stabilize and align the compression tube.

A pathologic staging compression device prepares a biological sample for pathologic staging by compressing the sample to remove liquid fat from the sample. In one embodiment, the apparatus preferably includes a compression tube, a removable drainage planum to hold the compression tube, a fat containment and drainage system, a gauge to monitor the extrusion force, use of hydraulic pressure to generation the extrusion force for sample compression, and ejection of the compressed sample after the compression tube has been removed from the drainage planum.
