TRASH COMPACTOR
A trash compactor may include a frame, a cavity, a trash receptacle, a platen movable to compress trash collected in the trash receptacle, a set of linkages and a drive mechanism configured to drive said platen up and down, the drive mechanism further configured as one of the link elements, and a platen guide mechanism configured to restrict the motion of the platen in an up and down manner.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING MATERIAL IN A PNEUMATIC MATERIAL CONVEYING SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for transferring and handling material. Material is supplied into a separator device by a conveying pipe with an air flow from a partial-vacuum generator connected to a container space of the separator device, to a transporting pipe. The material is removed from the container space via an outlet opening to a press chamber. The material is transferred and compacted by a transferring member of a pressing device to a container space of a separate material container removably connected to the pressing device. The efficiency of movement of the material from the separator device container space to the press chamber and the material container is increased by connecting a suction side of the generator to the material container space via a suction pipe and a suction opening and by supplying replacement air to the separator device container space and/or to the press chamber.
Removing waste from an oilfield rig
A waste disposal system for an oilfield rig includes a container that defines a volume sized to receive and store waste from an oilfield rig; a compression plate positioned in the volume, the compression plate sized to extend between and orthogonal to two sides of the container and in planar parallel with a back wall of the container; at least one powered arm connected to the compression plate and configured to adjust the compression plate between a retracted position in the volume adjacent the back wall and an extended position to compress the waste into at least one portion of compressed waste; and an adjustable door connected to the container opposite the back wall and configured to swing away from the container to release the at least one portion of compressed waste from the volume.
Waste compactor
The invention is generally applicable to a waste compactor. More specifically, the invention is applicable to a waste compactor including a secondary fill door that allows the operator to fill the waste compactor without cycling the waste compactor to conserve energy, increase the life expectancy of the compactor, reduce the number of compaction cycles that may be necessary to compact the contents of the container and/or permit loading of the waste compactor even when the waste compactor is inoperable.
COMPACTION RECEPTACLE
A compaction capable receptacle may include a housing with a trash receiving opening, a compaction unit arranged within the housing, and a trash bin arranged within the housing and configured for rotating trash within the bin below the compaction unit.
Space-saving in-flight trash compactor
A method for compacting trash while in-flight includes moving a storage chamber into a chamber operating position within a dead space inaccessible from in front of a galley, securing the storage chamber in the chamber operating position, executing a compaction cycle, and removing the storage chamber into a chamber maintenance position in which compacted trash is removable from the storage chamber accessible from in front of the galley.
Yard clean-up tools and methods
Knock down yard tools are provided which are made of flexible heavy duty sheet material joined to form a container for handling yard waste. Included are a truck bed carrier container, a skid container, a bagging container and a hand held carrier. In one embodiment, struts are provided which can be readily assembled to and disassembled from the sheet material to help hold the shape of the container. Preferably the struts are collapsible, and most preferably comprise sections held together and biased to assembly by elastic cord. In a preferred embodiment, a collection of such knock down yard tools are provided along with auxiliary tools for manipulating the yard waste and facilitate its placement in the knock down containers. The auxiliary tools include hand scoops a leaf press, and a gripper.
WELD-LESS COMPACTOR
A weld-less compactor includes a side wall formed by a first panel and a second panel. Each of the first and second panels includes an L-shaped extension having an opening therethrough. The weld-less compactor also includes a fastener assembly for securing the first panel to the second panel. The fastener assembly includes a bolt and a collar. The bolt has a head and a pintail. The collar is configured to fit around the pintail of the bolt. The first panel and the second panel are secured together by engaging the openings of the first panel and the second panel with the fastener assembly.
Waste receptacle with integral manual waste compressor and associated method
A compressible trash receptacle includes a frame, a plunger section operably coupled to the frame wherein the plunger section is disposed partially exterior of the frame, and a trash-receiving section detachably connected to the frame and in communication with the plunger section. In this manner, when no external force acts on the plunger section, the plunger section rests at an equilibrium position disposed partially exterior of the trash-receiving section. Advantageously, when an external force acts on the plunger section, the plunger section moves to a tensioned position disposed partially interior of the trash-receiving section.
Waste container monitoring system
A container having a compactor and bin for waste is disclosed permitting on-premises and remote monitoring of the system and collection is disclosed. The system can also detect non-complaint materials placed therein and act thereon. Methods are further disclosed for inventorying identification tags for tracking packages, merchandise and tags disposed of.
