Medical delivery device
A medical delivery device is disclosed having a rod element and a dosage member. The rod element has a stem and a first thread arrangement. The dosage member includes a delivery orifice, a chamber body and a second thread arrangement. The stem of the rod element extends within the chamber body and the delivery orifice is arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the stem. The dosage chamber is formed within the chamber body between the stem and the delivery orifice such that the dosage chamber increases when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice. In a dosing status, the first thread arrangement of the rod element engages the second thread arrangement of the dosage member such that the rod element is moveable along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice of the dosage member.
Medical delivery device
A medical delivery device is disclosed including a rod element, a dosage member and a lock mechanism. The rod element has a stem and the dosage member includes a delivery orifice and a chamber body. The stem of the rod element extends into the chamber body and the delivery orifice is arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the stem. In a dosing status, the rod element is movable along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice, wherein a dosage chamber is formed within the chamber body between the stem and the delivery orifice such that the dosage chamber increases when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice. The lock mechanism is adapted to change the medical delivery device from a lock status to a dosing status, wherein, in the lock status moving the rod element along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice is prevented.
Implantation Catheter
The disclosure relates to an implantation catheter for implanting a vascular implant into a vessel of a human or animal, comprising a catheter shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a vascular implant carried by the catheter shaft, and a pressure sensor for sensing a vascular pressure at the distal end. The implantation catheter comprises an inflatable balloon arranged circumferentially around an outside of the catheter shaft in a distal end section of the catheter shaft. Also, a method for implanting a vascular implant into a vessel of a human or an animal is provided.
METERED DOSE INHALER AND SPACER WITH AIRFLOW AND HANDICAP ASSIST STRUCTURES FOR MAXIMIZING MEDICATION DELIVERY EFFECTIVENESS
A metered dose inhaler having a body for receiving a medicinal canister. A dome shaped motorized unit is attached to the main body of the inhaler. A lower mouthpiece end is in communication with an output valve of the canister for issuing an atomized medicinal spray. A plurality of apertures are defined along any of the sides or front and back walls of the body such that, upon depressing a trigger associated with the canister in combination with patient inhalation, the actuation of the motor combines results in more efficient delivery of the spray and to better direct the spray into the patient's respiratory system. A further variant incorporates a motorized cap, such as for use by handicapped individuals who may be unable to actuate the metered dose inhaler due to anatomical or physiological disabilities.
Shell for a medicament delivery device
The present invention relates to a shell assembly for a medicament delivery device, which shell assembly comprises at least one first shell section provided with an entry passage and designed such that at least a major part of a medicament delivery device entered through said entry passage is accommodated inside said at least one first shell section, a closure element operably arranged to said at least one first shell section for closing said entry passage, and fixation elements arranged for fixating said medicament delivery device in relation to said at least one first shell section and said closure element.
DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT TO A PORTABLE LIQUID INJECTION DEVICE
The invention refers to a device for attachment to a portable liquid injection device, wherein said device is designed to enclose the drug reservoir of the injection device completely. Further, said device has at least one wave guide enabling a radio frequency wave to be applied along the drug reservoir of the injection device. In particular, the portable liquid injection device is a so-called insulin pen, i.e. a portable liquid injection device which is used to inject insulin for the treatment of diabetes. The inventive device preferably is in the form of a cap, in particular in the form of a cap of an insulin pen.
SYSTEMS AND TECHNIQUES FOR CALIBRATING RADIOISOTOPE DELIVERY SYSTEMS WITH A GAMMA DETECTOR
An infusion system may include a radioisotope generator that generates a radioactive eluate via elution, a beta detector, a gamma detector, and a controller. The beta detector and the gamma detector may be positioned to measure beta emissions and gamma emissions, respectively, emitted from the radioactive eluate. In some examples, the controller is configured to calibrate the infusion system using the gamma detector. For example, the controller may generate a radioactive eluate and measure the activity of the radioactive eluate using both the beta detector and the gamma detector. The high accuracy of the activity measured by the gamma detector may be used to calibrate the infusion system. In subsequent use, the infusion system calibrated using the gamma detector may adjust measurements made to monitor and/or control patient infusion procedures.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR RESUSCITATION
Methods, devices, systems of resuscitating a patient including accessing an arterial vessel positioning a catheter into the arterial vessel advancing the catheter through the arterial vessel to position it below a vessel supplying blood to a heart and a brain expanding an expandable portion of the catheter to prevent blood from flowing past the expanded portion and infusing a substance retrograde into the artery within the arterial section between the heart and the expanded portion of the catheter.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSULIN PUMP MEDICAL DEVICE INCLUDING A SLIDER ASSEMBLY WHEREIN IMAGES ON DISPLAY ALLOW FOR HIGHLIGHTING AND MAGNIFYING IMAGES
A medical system includes an input assembly for receiving one or more user inputs. The input assembly includes at least one slider assembly for providing an input signal. Processing logic receives the input signal from the input assembly and provides a first output signal and a second output signal. A display assembly is configured to receive, at least in part, the first output signal from the processing logic and render information viewable by the user. The second output signal is provided to one or more medical system components. The information rendered on the display assembly may be manipulatable by the user and at least a portion of the information rendered may be magnified.
DIALYSIS MACHINE HAVING SECURITY AGAINST CONFUSION FOR HYDRAULIC CONNECTORS
The invention relates to a dialysis machine having two hydraulic connectors at the dialyzate side to which a respective connection line having a filter coupling is connected for connection to a dialyzer, with the hydraulic connectors being an inflow connector for feeding fresh dialysis liquid to the dialyzer and an outflow connector for draining consumed dialyzate from the dialyzer, and having two parking positions associated with the respective hydraulic connectors for storing the filter couplings when not in operation, wherein the inflow connector and the parking position associated with the outflow connector are arranged spaced apart from one another at the machine and the length of the connection line connected to the inflow connector is smaller than this spacing, and wherein the outflow connector and the parking position associated with the inflow connector are arranged spaced apart from one another at the machine and the length of the connection line connected to the outflow connector is smaller than this spacing.
