20210393899 · 2021-12-23 ·

The present invention relates to methods for operating a respiration apparatus and a respiration system, and also a respiration apparatus and a respiration system. The respiration system comprises a respiration apparatus and a computer software program for an external computer to operate the respiration apparatus. The respiration apparatus comprises a processor device and an apparatus software program and an apparatus configuration. The validities of the computer software, the apparatus software and the apparatus configuration are in each case characterized by a version. The versions are compared with one another to detect a version conflict. If invalid versions are present, the computer software is provided with a program component with a limit value and a plausibility rule, or the setting parameters are sorted into a first group and a second group. The setting parameters of the first group are retained.

Activation assembly for a medicament delivery device
11202867 · 2021-12-21 · ·

An activation assembly for a medicament delivery device is presented having a delivery member cover provided with legs and configured to be biased in a proximal direction, a movable sleeve configured to be received between the legs, and an activation sleeve configured to be biased in the proximal direction, wherein the delivery member cover is configured to be moved in an axial direction between a first position and a second position, wherein movement of the delivery member cover from the first position to the second position causes movement of the movable sleeve from a first movable sleeve position to a second movable sleeve position. The delivery member cover axially displaces the activation sleeve in a distal direction when the delivery member cover moves towards the second position, thereby causing a first actuation of a sensor. The activation sleeve is configured to move in the proximal direction when the delivery member cover returns from the second position to the first position, thereby providing a second actuation of the sensor.

A controller for an implantable blood pump including processing circuitry in communication with the implantable blood pump and configured to generate at least one preventative alert

Adaptors and usability features for respiratory assistance systems

A bypass adaptor for a respiratory assistance system including an inlet connector configured to connect to a gases source outlet and defining a first gases passageway with a first axis and an outlet connector configured to connect to an inspiratory conduit connector and defining a second gases passageway with a second axis, the second gases passageway being fluidly connected to the first gases passageway, the inspiratory conduit connector being incompatible with direct connection to the gases source outlet, wherein the first axis is separated from the second axis by an angle that allows the inspiratory conduit connector to be connected via the bypass adaptor to the gases source outlet in a space smaller than the length of the inspiratory conduit connector. Also provided are a port cap assembly and a humidifying apparatus including the port cap assembly, wherein the port cap assembly provides for improved assembly and/or usability.

MOBILE CART AND DOCKING STATION FOR USE WITH A MEDICAL DEVICE

A mobile cart for a medical device is disclosed. The cart is designed to transport a medical device such as a dialysis machine (e.g., a peritoneal dialysis (PD) machine). The medical device can be connected to a power supply included in the cart, where the power supply includes one or more energy storage devices (e.g., batteries), a charging circuit, and (optionally) an inverter. The cart can also include a number of features such as automatic brakes, UV light sterilization, sensors such as object detection safety features, environmental sensors, and the like. The cart can include electronic components that enables certain functionality such as hosting a wireless local area network or communicating wirelessly with the medical device. A docking station is also disclosed that enables wireless charging of the power supply such that neither the medical device nor the cart needs to be plugged into an external power supply.

Precision low-dose, low-waste syringes and ergonomic attachments therefor

Syringe attachments and syringes have particular suitability to the precision dispensing of small amounts of high viscosity materials, such as dermal fillers. Syringes and attachments may include precision position indicators viewed from multiple positions to enable a user to determine plunger position and the amount of dispensed contents with precision. A configuration of the attachment may be slidably secured to a syringe to permit a user to operate the syringe from a lateral position using sliding movement of the thumb and fingers of one hand, for example. This configuration may be particularly suitable for self-administered insulin injections.

THIN-PROFILE DELIVERY APPARATUS AND MEDIA CARTRIDGES

An apparatus to provide scent or other substances (e.g., active agent) includes a thin profile delivery apparatus that includes an actuator (e.g., nebulizer) and drive circuit to generate a spray, aerosol or vapor. The apparatus may have a slot to removably a media cartridge that carries the scent or other substances. The apparatus may include two contacts (e.g., buttons), opposed to one another across a dimension of the apparatus. Activation may require both engagement of both contacts, for instance concurrently, or even successive engagement of both contacts, in quick succession. Activation may further require a correct orientation of the apparatus. The apparatus may have a form factor similar to a conventional credit or debit card, and may be pliable or pliably resilient. The delivery apparatus can be used in entertainment (e.g., food or cooking programming), and in healthcare (e.g., control of metabolism).

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSULIN PUMP MEDICAL DEVICE INCLUDING A SLIDER ASSEMBLY WHEREIN IMAGES ON DISPLAY ALLOW FOR HIGHLIGHTING AND MAGNIFYING IMAGES

A medical system includes an input assembly for receiving one or more user inputs. The input assembly includes at least one slider assembly for providing an input signal. Processing logic receives the input signal from the input assembly and provides a first output signal and a second output signal. A display assembly is configured to receive, at least in part, the first output signal from the processing logic and render information viewable by the user. The second output signal is provided to one or more medical system components. The information rendered on the display assembly may be manipulatable by the user and at least a portion of the information rendered may be magnified.

EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT MACHINE COMPRISING A POKA-YOKE FOR A PRESSURE SENSOR

An extracorporeal blood treatment machine includes a blood treatment device, a conveying device for conveying blood through the blood treatment device, and a connection mask designed to interchangeably receive a tube set in a predefined arrangement. The tube set has pressure-monitoring lines that branch off from the tube set and can be connected to pressure sensor connections located on the connection mask. The pressure sensor connections are spaced apart and positioned so as to match the tube set such that, when the tube set is mounted in the predefined arrangement on the connection mask, each pressure-monitoring line, owing to its limited length and the predefined arrangement of the associated branch on the blood treatment machine, can be connected exclusively to only one of the pressure sensor connections. A corresponding tube set is used with the extracorporeal blood treatment machine.
