Articles formed of pulp base materials with modulated scent release
Described are articles formed of a pulp base material comprising fibers, wherein pores are formed between the fibers. A volatile composition with at least one top note component and at least one base note component at least partially fills the pores of the pulp base material. A release rate of the at least one top note component is modulated by the pulp base material, and a release rate of the at least one base note component is enhanced by the pulp base material.
Valved flexible bag spacer device for a nebulizer
Provided is a spacer device (110) for delivery of drugs via a nebuliser device, the spacer device (110) comprising a bag (112) and a body (118) including inlet (114) and opposed outlet (116), the inlet (114) and opposed outlet (116) being provided on, and integral with, the body (118). The body (118) and bag (112) combine to form chamber (120) for receiving aerosolised medication. The inlet (114) and outlet (116) each are in the form of a port that is in fluid flow communication with the chamber (120). The inlet (114) and outlet (116) define, and are separated by, a broad V-formation formed as part of the body (118). The body (118) further includes an elliptical lower perimeter (118.1) defining flange (118.2), for demountably receiving bag (112).
Therapeutic device for treatment of conditions relating to the sinuses, nasal cavities, ear, nose and throat
A rechargeable therapeutic system for treating conditions of a user's nasal cavities, sinuses or ear canals includes a therapeutic device having a housing that includes an inlet that allows air to enter the therapeutic device. An acoustic vibrator located within the housing provides an acoustic vibration to the user, and a power supply located within the housing provides power to the acoustic vibrator. A mask is connected to the housing and configured to be applied around the nose of the user. A valve of the mask is configured to allow the user to breathe through the inlet. The mask further includes a diaphragm and a nasal cavity in which the user's nose is located when the mask is applied around the nose of the user. A recharging station is configured to provide a charging current to the power supply.
Curcumin stimulator
A curcumin entrained vapor generator providing the release of an essence, or compound or substances, from a solid or powder or liquid into a vapor exiting the generator, comprising a container having an interior volume and a region disposed to contain a liquid which emits or forms a vapor, and an openable closed end distal from said contained liquid. An interior support formed to support material (e.g. curcumin or other) thereon and is included and has a plurality of openings, and is dimensioned less than said container interior dimension across said container liquid to form a large vapor passage allowing the essence of the included material to be gently released into the vapor of the liquid and released into the external environment via the container openings. Other embodiments include esthetically shaped support structures, e.g. a leaf, a plant twig-like arms, etc. and/or graphic overlays, etchings, engravings, etc.
Apparatus, system and method for fluid delivery
A filling aid. The filling aid includes a needle housing portion including at least one tab having a starting position and a filling position, and a filling needle cradle including a filling needle, the filling needle cradle slidable connected to the needle housing portion and having a starting position and a filling position, wherein when the at least one tab on the needle housing moves from a starting position to a filling position, the filling needle cradle slides from a starting position to a filling position, and wherein when the at least one tab on the needle housing moves from a filling position to a starting position, the filling needle cradle slides from a filling position to a starting position.
TRACHEOSTOMY TUBE ASSEMBLIES AND PROTECTORS
A paediatric tracheostomy tube (1) has a protector (50) covering the cuff inflation indicator (37) to prevent damage to the inflation indicator caused by the patient chewing or biting it. The protector is in two parts: a base (52) extending around the open machine end (40) of the indicator and through which the inflation valve can be accessed, and a transparent sleeve (60) extending around the inflation balloon (38) and through which the balloon is visible. The sleeve has a small opening (65) at its patient end opening to a longitudinal slot (66) along one side so that the sleeve can be assembled on the inflation line (31) by threading the inflation line sideway through the slot.
Vaporizer with a pH sensor
A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. A pH sensor detects a pH value of the substance to be vaporized for preventing use of an improper substance. When the pH value is confirmed, the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized.
DISPOSABLE VAPORIZER
A vaporizer device including: 1) a body having a mouthpiece and an interior chamber, 2) a reservoir inserted into the interior chamber of the body for storing an aerosolizable material, 3) a housing inserted into the interior chamber including a heating chamber including a heating element and a pressure sensor for controlling operation of the heating element, 4) a power source for powering the heating element and pressure sensor, and 5) a vapor tube extending from the mouthpiece to the heating chamber. The vapor tube is integrally formed with the reservoir, or with the body. The device may in addition also include and a PCB tube extending from the mouthpiece to the pressure sensor, which is integrally formed with one of the reservoir or the body.
Therapy device and method of use
The therapy device disclosed is structured and configured to be a wearable device self-controlled, remote controlled by a caregiver, and/or integrated with a downloadable application (app) from a mobile device to assist a caregiver with modifying and enforcing behaviors as aligned with olfactory sensation and personalized limbic system functionality. The device and system may also be configured and combined with another therapeutic device or medical monitoring system such that the therapy device disclosed herein is aligned to initiate when a target or monitored condition reaches a threshold value. Such configurations would allow the device to function automatically and in combination with data analytics.
Delivery of respiratory therapy using conduits with varying wall thicknesses
An air delivery system for providing a supply of air from a source of air at positive pressure to an interfacing structure located at the entrance to the airways of a patient includes a manifold adapted to connect with the supply of positive air pressure and at least one tube connected to the manifold and adapted to deliver the supply of air to the interfacing structure. Each tube is structured to allow movement between an open phase in which the tube allows the passage of air and a collapsed phase in which the tube is collapsed. Each tube is structured such that weight of a typical patient's head against bedding apparel is sufficient to collapse the tube from the open phase to the collapsed phase.
