PAP system
A PAP system includes a PAP device to generate a supply of pressurized air, a patient interface adapted to form a seal with the patient's face, air delivery tubing to interconnect the patient interface and the PAP device, and a cover that substantially encloses at least a portion of the PAP device and a portion of the air delivery tubing. The cover allows the PAP device to be carried by and/or supported on the patient's head.
VAPING CARTRIDGE
A vaping cartridge is disclosed herein. The vaping cartridge comprises a base portion. A container portion is connected to the base portion and extends from the base portion. The container portion is configured to receive and contain a vaping liquid therewithin. A first intake opening is configured on the container portion for receiving the vaping liquid therewithin. A second intake opening configured on the container portion for allowing air to be permitted within the container portion. A mouthpiece is configured at a free end of the container portion. At least one article is disposed within the container portion immersed within the vaping liquid.
Delivery of respiratory therapy using collapsible inlet conduits
An air delivery system for providing a supply of air from a source of air at positive pressure to an interfacing structure located at the entrance to the airways of a patient includes a manifold adapted to connect with the supply of positive air pressure and at least one tube connected to the manifold and adapted to deliver the supply of air to the interfacing structure. Each tube is structured to allow movement between an open phase in which the tube allows the passage of air and a collapsed phase in which the tube is collapsed. Each tube is structured such that weight of a typical patient's head against bedding apparel is sufficient to collapse the tube from the open phase to the collapsed phase.
AUTOMATIC-LOCKING SAFETY NEEDLE COVERS AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE
A single-use needle cover configured to obscure, protect, or hide at least a portion of a needle from view before, during, and/or after an injection and/or aspiration procedure is disclosed. In some embodiments, the cover includes a housing at least partially containing the needle and configured to couple to a syringe, wherein the housing includes an axis and a guide member. In some embodiments, a sleeve has a plurality of tracks configured to slidingly receive the guide member, wherein the sleeve is configured to retract, extend, and rotate with respect to the housing. In some embodiments, after the sleeve has been retracted and extended one time, a first locking member inhibits further retraction of the sleeve and a second locking member inhibits rotation of the sleeve.
Articles formed of pulp base materials with modulated scent release
Described are articles formed of a pulp base material comprising fibers, wherein pores are formed between the fibers. A volatile composition with at least one top note component and at least one base note component at least partially fills the pores of the pulp base material. A release rate of the at least one top note component is modulated by the pulp base material, and a release rate of the at least one base note component is enhanced by the pulp base material.
MEDICAL TUBES FOR BREATHING CIRCUIT
A medical tube transports gases to and/or from a patient. The medical tube includes a bead wrapped around a longitudinal axis of the medical tube. The bead forms a first portion of a lumen wall of the medical tube. The medical tube also includes a film wrapped around the longitudinal axis of the medical tube. A first portion of the film overlies the bead, and a second portion of the film forms a second portion of the lumen wall. The lumen wall, formed by the bead and the second portion of the film forms a substantially smooth bore. The medical tube can be reusable or reprocessable.
Dynamic and variable controlled information system and methods for monitoring and adjusting behavior
The disclosed embodiments provide an apparatus and methods for assisting individuals in controlling respiratory rates. For example, a respiratory regulation apparatus is provided in the form of a plush animal toy that operates components to simulate the breathing rate of anxious individuals. The apparatus may include actuators that are controlled by a slotted cam that is dynamically rotated at varying speeds in a determined rotational direction. The actuators move inward and outward in relative directions to move a torso of the plush animal toy to simulate breathing. In certain aspects, actuators may expand outward while at the same time another actuator contracts inward to cause the torso to simulate realistic breathing movements. A processor controls the speed of the cam such that the simulated breathing of the animal toy apparatus can be reduced at a controlled rate to assist an individual in reducing their breathing rate to a calmer state.
HYPNOTHERAPY SYSTEM UTILIZING AN INTERACTIVE DOLL AND METHOD OF HYPNOTHERAPY FOR CHILDREN
The present invention relates in general to the field of hypnotherapy, and more specifically, to a hypnotherapy system for children that utilizes an interactive doll connected to a website and/or downloadable computer software application (app), and a method of hypnotherapy for children using the system. One aspect of the present disclosure includes an interactive doll that is configured to play a variety of hypnosis scripts to the child through an audio playback device. The hypnosis scripts may be downloaded to the audio playback device through the connected website/app, wherein the hypnosis scripts are directed to address particular behavioral or emotional issues in the child. The purpose of the invention is to provide a hypnotherapy system and method of hypnotherapy for children that may be conveniently administered to the child in a safe and familiar environment, such as in the child's home or bedroom, without requiring the presence of a hypnotherapist. An additional purpose of the invention is to provide a hypnotherapy system and method of hypnotherapy for children that utilizes an interactive doll that is comforting to the child and that helps retain the attention and focus of the child during a hypnosis session.
Cartridge housing and atomizer for a personal vaporizing unit
A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. When the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized by the wick into a cavity containing a heating element. The heating element vaporizes the atomized substance. The vapors then continue to be pulled by the user through a mouthpiece and mouthpiece cover where they may be inhaled.
Syringes and medical devices with windowed labels
A syringe or medical device, especially adapted and suited for use with children, having a label with non-transparent and transparent portions positioned on the syringe or medical device so as to avoid covering measurement graduations or indicia needed by a medical practitioner for performing a medical procedure, such as an injection or blood collection, and using attention grabbing graphic images on the non-transparent portion of the label for distracting the patient's attention from fluids and/or hypodermic needles involved in the medical procedure.
