MEDICAL GAS DELIVERY DEVICE
Medical gas delivery devices are provided. A garment or another object may include a hose assembly configured to couple the garment or the object to a medical gas source. The garment or the object can be configured to deliver a medical gas to a patient. Additionally, medical gas delivery devices configured to be removably coupled to a garment or another object are provided.
NEBULIZER
It is a support mask with a mounting strip to the head of the user. Inside the mask, the actuating mask is fixed with its vapor inlet tube connected, removable, with the injector tube of an external receptacle where a micro compact removable nebulizer is set up. The micro nebulizer has a micro ultrasonic cavitation microsystem capable of generating the vibrations necessary to vaporize the medicated liquid contained in a built-up tank. That ultrasonic mechanism is activated by a small electronic device with an activation button that is housed in a side enclosed area and is powered by batteries inside a similar battery enclosed area on the opposite side. The external surface of said support mask, presents, in strategic places, fixation means to enable an external party face mask of a laminar material molded similar to those characters admired by children.
Positive Expiratory Pressure Device
An improved oscillating positive expiratory pressure (“OPEP”) device, for respiratory therapy having a self sterilizing flow valve capable of insertion into the curved OPEP body without tools or aids. The flow valve is also tear resistant and incorporates a flared reinforced proximal end. To maximize the benefit to patients, the adjustable therapy selector is constrained from withdrawal and is dimensioned to accept commercially available, standardized respiratory fittings adaptors, mouthpieces and “Tees” that are capable of connection to multiple respiratory therapy devices or medicated aerosol delivery units. The aesthetics have been altered by the addition of an arced handle.
Syringe cover for Obscuring a Patient's Observation of Needle Insertions
A syringe cover obscures a patient's observation of needle insertions for medical procedures. Obscuring the needle insertion from the patient reduces the psychological fear associated with needles. The syringe cover includes a tubular sleeve, a collapsible sleeve, and a viewport opening. The tubular sleeve covers the fluid reservoir barrel to hide the fluid drawn from or injected into the patient from the patient's view. The collapsible sleeve obscures the needle of the syringe from the patient's view. The collapsible sleeve is pressed against the patient's body when the needle penetrates the patient's skin. The collapsible sleeve deforms as the needle is inserted into the patient's body such that the collapsible sleeve does not obstruct the insertion of the needle. The viewport allows the medical practitioner to view the volume of fluid within the fluid reservoir barrel of the syringe.
Injection device having a miniaturized drug delivery portion
A self-injection device with a miniaturized drug delivery portion is provided. The device includes a housing (10) having an interior volume and the drug delivery portion (20) has a volume enclosed within the housing. The drug delivery portion includes a reservoir (30) containing a fluid to be delivered to a user and a microneedle (22) in fluid communication with the reservoir and extendable through the housing. The drug delivery portion also includes a drive mechanism for expelling fluid from the reservoir through the microneedle, wherein the volume of the drug delivery portion is less than 40% of the interior volume of the housing. The volume of the drug delivery portion may be less than 30% of the interior volume of the housing.
TEXTILE SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE WITH MULTIPLE CURVATURES
A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with an elastomeric membrane that has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patients nares and/or an entrance to the patients mouth. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patients respiratory cycle, in use. The elastomeric membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The elastomeric membrane is molded to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures. The at least one hole includes an arch on a lateral side of the at least one hole, and is in a relaxed state before use. The arch is configured to move to a substantially taut state during use.
Apparatus, system and method for fluid delivery
A fill adapter system for an infusion pump assembly. The system includes a reusable fill adapter base, the base including a volume control mechanism to adjust an available fill volume of a reservoir of the infusion pump assembly and a pump mechanism configured to pump air into a fluid vial. The system also includes a vial adapter assembly including a first needle configured to penetrate a septum of the fluid vial for fluidly coupling the pump mechanism to the fluid vial and a second needle having a first end configured to penetrate the septum of the fluid vial and a second end configured to penetrate a septum of the reservoir of the infusion pump assembly to allow transfer of fluid from the fluid vial to the reservoir of the infusion pump assembly in response to air being pumped into the fluid vial and a needle carriage adapted to carry the first needle and the second needle, wherein the needle carriage slidably attached to the interior of the vial adapter assembly, wherein the needle carriage adapted to slide from a vial end of the vial adapter to a receptacle end of the vial adapter.
COMMUNICATION DEVICES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS
Numerous aspects of communication devices, methods, and systems are described in this application. One aspect is an apparatus comprising an energy generator comprising: a plurality of generator elements operable to output a plurality of different energy types in a signal direction toward a physiologic tissue; a printed circuit board that mechanically supports and electrically connects the plurality of generator elements to each other; each generator element of the plurality of generator elements being independently operable, when the energy generator is positioned relative to the physiologic tissue, to communicate with different nerves associated with the physiologic tissue by outputting a different portion of an energy signal in the signal direction toward the physiologic tissue with one energy type of the plurality of different energy types.
VAPORIZING UNIT WITH USE AUTHORIZATION
A personal vapor inhaling unit is disclosed. An electronic flameless vapor inhaler unit that may simulate a cigarette has a cavity that receives a cartridge in the distal end of the inhaler unit. The cartridge brings a substance to be vaporized in contact with a wick. When the unit is activated, and the user provides suction, the substance to be vaporized is drawn out of the cartridge, through the wick, and is atomized by the wick into a cavity containing a heating element. The heating element vaporizes the atomized substance. The vapors then continue to be pulled by the user through a mouthpiece and mouthpiece cover where they may be inhaled.
Delivery of respiratory therapy
A patient interface includes a sealing arrangement adapted to provide an effective seal with the patient's nose, an inlet conduit arrangement adapted to deliver breathable gas to the sealing arrangement, and a cover that substantially encloses the sealing arrangement and/or the inlet conduit arrangement.
