Shell for a medicament delivery device
The present invention relates to a shell assembly for a medicament delivery device, which shell assembly comprises at least one first shell section provided with an entry passage and designed such that at least a major part of a medicament delivery device entered through said entry passage is accommodated inside said at least one first shell section, a closure element operably arranged to said at least one first shell section for closing said entry passage, and fixation elements arranged for fixating said medicament delivery device in relation to said at least one first shell section and said closure element.
System and Method for Assuring Patient Medication and Fluid Delivery at the Clinical Point of Use
A system for confirmation of fluid delivery to a patient at the clinical point of use is provided. The system includes a wearable electronic device. The wearable electronic device has a housing; at least one imaging sensor associated with the housing; a data transmission interface; a data reporting accessory for providing data to the user; a microprocessor for managing the at least one imaging sensor, the data transmission interface, and the data reporting accessory; and a program for acquiring and processing images from the at least one imaging sensor. The system further includes a fluid delivery apparatus; and one or more identification tags attached to or integrally formed with the fluid delivery apparatus. The program processes an image captured by the at least one imaging sensor to identify the one or more identification tags and acquires fluid delivery apparatus information from the one or more identification tags.
Autoinjector
An autoinjector includes a case configured to receive a syringe, a slidable member that is movable axially within the case to cause at least a portion of the syringe to move axially when the syringe is disposed within the case for dispensing a medicament through a needle of the syringe, a locking member configured to prevent actuation of the slidable member when the autoinjector is in a pre-dispense configuration, a sleeve coupled to a distal end of the case and surrounding at least a portion of a needle of the syringe when the syringe is disposed within the case, an elongate member extending proximally from the sleeve and configured to deflect the locking member to allow actuation of the plunger, and two drive springs coupled to the slidable member and configured to apply a biasing force that acts on the slidable member to move the slidable member distally.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVIDING ACCESS TO FLUID INJECTION SYSTEMS
A system for securely accessing a fluid injection system is disclosed. The system includes at least one processor programmed or configured to authenticate a user for access to an fluid injection system, provide data identifying one or more features of a software application for accessing the fluid injection system, receive data identifying a selected feature of the software application for accessing the fluid injection system, and provide access to the selected feature of the software application for accessing the fluid injection system.
Accurate irrigation rate measurement system and method
In one embodiment, an irrigated medical system includes a medical tool, an irrigation line configured to fluidically connect an irrigation reservoir storing irrigation fluid to the medical tool, and provide at least some of the irrigation fluid to the medical tool, a force sensor configured to be coupled with the irrigation reservoir, and provide a signal responsively to a force exerted by the irrigation reservoir on the force sensor over time as irrigation fluid in the irrigation reservoir is depleted, and a controller configured to find an irrigation rate of the irrigation fluid flowing in the irrigation line responsively to the signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FACILITATING SURGICAL FLUID MANAGEMENT
A surgical fluid management system includes a console defining a cassette bay and a cassette, including a fluid line extending therethrough, configured for insertion into the cassette bay of the console. The console includes a sensor disposed adjacent the cassette bay configured to detect a position of the cassette relative to the cassette bay to enable selective locking or unlocking of the cassette within the cassette bay. Additionally or alternatively, the console includes cassette bay electronics configured to obtain encoded information from the cassette.
NEBULIZER AND NEBULIZER SYSTEM
The application is directed to a mesh nebulizer and related system including a dosing unit for providing a predetermined amount of a therapeutic agent, wherein the therapeutic agent is delivered in a portion container to be opened by pressure. The dosing unit comprises an uptake chamber with a dosing opening for dispensing the therapeutic agent, an opening for inserting a portion container and a locking body for the opening. The locking body is adapted to be moved from an open position in which the locking body releases the opening to a closed position in which the locking body closes the opening. The locking body is further adapted to be moved from the closed position to a drainage position in which the locking body applies pressure to the portion container to open the portion container and release the therapeutic agent.
Mist inhaler devices
A mist inhaler device (200) for generating a mist including a therapeutic for inhalation by a user. The device includes a mist generator device (201) and a driver device (202). The driver device (202) is configured to drive the mist generator device (201) at an optimum frequency to maximise the efficiency of mist generation by the mist generator device (201).
Luer connector with on-board connection indicator
A connector connection indicator is mounted in a Luer male connector, or in a Luer female connector, to indicate proper mating of the two Luer connectors. The connection indicator may be or include a light source, a sound producing device (e.g., buzzer), a switch, a tactile connection indicator or an electronic chip. The electronic chip may be interposed between two conductive elements that are mounted in the Luer female connector. When the two Luer connectors are properly engaged, the electronic chip is powered via two electrical terminals. While the electronic chip is powered up it communicates with an external system via two electrical terminals. The external system interprets the communication with the electronic chip as an indication to proper engagement of the two Luer connectors. Some of the connection indicators may be mounted on a circuit board that is embedded in a void in the Luer male connector.
Secure device for delivering medications
A method and device for delivering medications that includes a syringe body, a cartridge nest with an application tip, a plunger actuator, and an electronic lock subassembly adapted for preventing administration of the medication until specific conditions are met. The medicine cartridge may comprise a form of a digital security key to prevent the device from administering medication unless specific configurations and conditions are met. The device may further be adapted with pre-programmed information and may be used with a smartphone, tablet, or computer application. The electronic lock subassembly will only permit the administration of medicine when the patient and/or administrator is verified via facial and voice recognition, biometric identifier, or other unique information. Upon proper permission, the device may be used to administer medicine, including injecting medicine into the nasal cavity of a patient.
