A system, method, and computer program product are disclosed for a flow rate algorithm that utilizes changes in fluid pressure over a set time interval to calculate a true flow rate compared to a programmed flow rate, determine any over-delivery or under-delivery in the amount of fluid delivered over the set time interval, compensate for any determined over-delivery or under-delivery in the fluid flow rate over a subsequent set time interval, and repeat the flow rate algorithm for a series of subsequent set time intervals over the duration of a fluid injection procedure.
Medical device with an additively applied converter
This disclosure relates to a medical device including a hard part and a converter. The hard part has fluid paths for conducting a medical fluid through the hard part. The converter is arranged to measure a characteristic of the medical fluid while the medical fluid is present in one of the fluid paths. At least a section of the converter is applied or superimposed to the hard part by at least one additive application method.

A test unit for measuring internal pressure in a cylindrical glass container includes a support adapted for housing the cylindrical glass container during a test phase, defining a longitudinal axis; a piston for selectively exerting a predetermined axial force in a longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and for actuating a plunger movable along the longitudinal axis; at least one measuring sensor for measuring a change in diameter in a transverse direction to the longitudinal axis; a programmable control unit operatively connected to the measuring sensor and configured to correlate a diameter change measured by the measuring sensor in the presence of a predetermined axial force with reference internal pressure values to which the measured diameter change and the predetermined axial force correspond. System of detecting a leak in a heat exchanger of a hemodialysis device
A leak may be detected in a heat exchanger of a hemodialysis device. A drain valve is opened by the controller, and then closed by the controller after a pre-selected time period. An initial pressure is determined in the spent dialysate circuit and stored in the memory. A system pressure is determined at periodic time intervals and compared to a pre-determined maximum pressure. The controller then determines whether the heat exchanger has a leak, in that in response to the system pressure exceeding a predetermined maximum pressure, a command is generated to execute an event including suspending a disinfectant operation with a disinfecting agent, and in response to the initial pressure subtracted from the system pressure being greater than a predetermined minimum pressure differential, a command is generated to execute an event including suspending the cleanse operation with the disinfecting agent.

Method and Maintenance Device for Automatic Maintenance of an Autonomous Dialysis System
According to an aspect there is provided a method for automatic maintenance of a dialysis system. The dialysis system includes a plurality of filter sections where each filter section includes a blood flow channel, a dialysate flow channel, and a membrane separating the blood flow channel from the dialysate flow channel and having a plurality of pores through which substances are exchanged between a blood flow in the blood flow channel and a dialysate flow in the dialysate flow channel. The method includes determining, for each filter section of the plurality of filter sections, whether a maintenance criterion is fulfilled. The method also includes triggering a maintenance event for a filter section of the plurality of filter sections for which the maintenance criterion is fulfilled. The method also includes executing the maintenance event and optionally administering a thrombolytic agent to the blood flow channel of the filter section.

The functional state transition test of the power unit may include extracting a unique identifier from the power unit of an aerosol provision device responsive to operable coupling of the power unit to a test fixture, determining a transition code based on the unique identifier, providing the transition code to the power unit via the test fixture to transition the power unit from an initial state to a transitioned state, and transitioning the power unit to the initial state.
