Passive hydraulic load leveler for thermal compression bonding
A press including a passive load leveler for bonding integrated circuit wafers, chips or substrates. The press includes a press frame, a press ram moveable relative to the frame, a first platen coupled to the press ram, and a second platen coupled to the press frame. The load leveler is coupled between the press frame and the second platen, and includes a main body having a first surface coupled to the press frame a plurality of pistons extending from the main body through a second surface and being in contact with the second platen. Each of the pistons is positioned within a piston chamber that is in fluid communication with a network of channels within the main body, where the pistons move relative to each other through a working fluid within the channels so as to maintain the first and second platens parallel to each other under the ram pressure.

Die cushion apparatus of press machine and die cushion controlling method
According to the die cushion apparatus of a press machine and the die cushion controlling method of the present invention, in holding the cushion pad on standby at a desired standby position, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in parallel with the lower faces of the dies mounted to the slide, and if the lower faces of the dies are inclined, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in the state of being inclined. Through this configuration, it is possible to easily allow the material to come into contact with the lower faces of the dies from the beginning of the die cushion force control (beginning of the collision), and also possible to smoothen the die cushion action in the plane, thereby enhancing the formability.

Press-forming tool with tolerance compensation
The present invention relates to a press-forming tool having a top die and a bottom die, which can be moved toward one another, forming a forming cavity between the top die and the bottom die when the press-forming tool is closed, wherein a die clamping plate is arranged on a press ram and/or on a press table, wherein a top die or bottom die, which can be moved relative to the die clamping plate, is supported on said plate while incorporating at least one resilient adjusting element.
PRESS AND METHOD FOR MOLDING AN INGOT MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC OR THERMOSETTING MATERIAL
A press (1) is described, for molding an ingot made of thermoplastic or thermosetting material, comprising a basement (10) integral with risers (20), a first and a second plane (30, 40) relatively sliding with respect to the risers (20), by means of first and second hydraulic cylinders (50, 60), respectively adapted to allow opening and closing a mold formed of a first half-mold fastened to the first plane (30) and a second half-mold fastened to the second plane (40), comprising actuators (70) adapted to exert a force whose direction is equal to or opposite with respect to the direction of the force adapted to allow opening or closing the mold; the first plane (30) connected to the basement (10) is moved by means of the first hydraulic cylinders (50) and of the actuators (70), while the second plane (40) is blocked by means of a blocking apparatus (80).
Slide motion control apparatus for mechanical press
A slide motion control apparatus for a mechanical press comprising: a slide which is disposed so as to be relatively vertically movable with respect to a driven body to which a drive force is transmitted through a con rod of the mechanical press; a relative position commander that outputs a relative position command indicating a relative position of the slide with respect to the driven body; a relative position detector that detects a relative position of the slide with respect to the driven body, and outputs a relative position detecting signal indicating the detected relative position; a servomotor; a drive mechanism that relatively moves the slide with respect to the driven body by a drive force of the servomotor; and a controller that controls the servomotor based on a relative position command signal output from the relative position commander, and the relative position detecting signal output from the relative position detector.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BENDING METAL INCLUDING TANDEM PRESS BRAKES
Two press brake machines each using a single, central hydraulic actuator are provided. The press brake machines are configured to operate separately or in tandem, depending upon a size of a sheet metal workpiece to be deformed. A locking device that may include an upper connecting block and a lower connecting block is provided on each of the at least two press brake machines to allow the machines to interlock when the machines are adjacent to one another and are operating in tandem. The upper connecting block may be L shaped to help provide the interlocking. Interlocking of the press brake machines during tandem operation helps prevent distortion that can occur in the upper and lower portions of the ram due to the press brake machine's use of a single, central hydraulic actuator.
