APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CREATING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD ON-SITE OF SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATICALLY FORMING PACKAGING BOXES
An apparatus to create corrugated cardboard on the site of a system for automatically forming packaging boxes for packaging an arrangement of one or more item(s) to be shipped, said corrugated cardboard having at least one corrugated layer between two flat layers, comprising at least two supply stations for supplying two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, each single-faced corrugated cardboard comprising a corrugated layer (having a closed side with an attached flat layer and an open side opposite to said closed side, a supply station for supplying a closing layer, a microprocessor communicatively coupled to obtain information on the arrangement to be shipped, the information relating to at least one of overall dimensions, weight, shape, shipping conditions, fragility, sensitivity to moisture, value, shipping destination, and the obtained information allowing selection, based on the obtained information, of at least one of said at least two different single-faced corrugated cardboards, and an attaching station that attaches the closing layer to the selected first single-faced cardboard to sandwich the corrugated layer between the flat layer and the closing layer.
Apparatus and Method for Making Plastic Bags
In an apparatus and method for successively making plastic bags, webs of first and second panel materials are superposed and fed longitudinally. A plastic film is slit to form longitudinal slit lines so as to be divided into the web of the first panel material and a plurality of webs of a bottom gusset material before the webs of the first and second panel materials are superposed. Then, the webs of the bottom gusset material are guided and supplied to the webs of the first or second panel material by bottom gusset material guide devices. The bottom gusset material is not supplied from another supply roll, and a pattern discrepancy is not caused.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PRODUCING PRESSWARE
A system for scoring a web of a roll of material comprises a plate, a scoring punch, a scoring station actuator, and a controller. The plate has a slot extending about a shape representing an outline of a pressware product. The scoring punch has a protruding blade operable to enter the slot of the plate. The scoring station actuator is configured to shift the scoring punch or the plate to press the blade against the web to form a slot in the web. The controller is configured to direct the scoring station actuator to press the blade to a first predetermined scoring depth within the web.

Packaging station system and related methods
Implementations of the present invention relate to systems and methods for processing paperboard and similar fanfold materials into packaging templates and packaging orders using the packaging templates. More specifically, the described embodiments relate to methods of processing orders available for packaging, such as to reduce the time and cost of producing custom-size packaging templates, building custom-sized packaging boxes, and packaging orders in the boxes.
Paperboard trays with recyclable interior liner forming leakproof corners
An apparatus and method utilizes a forming machine which includes a mandrel and forming plate each shaped to conform the paperboard and/or corrugated material blank passing through the mandrel into the desired configuration for a leak-proof tray. The blank includes a layer of a suitable paperboard and/or corrugated material, and a layer of leak-proof plastic or paper material disposed over one side of the corrugated material. The corrugated material includes cutouts at each corner of the blank that enable the sides and ends of the blank to be folded relative to one another. The paper material continuously overlaps the surface of the corrugated layer and these cutouts to provide a continuous leak-proof barrier layer within the formed tray and at the corners of the blank when folded to form the tray, as the paper material is folded over itself to form a bellows corner in the tray.

MACHINE FOR MAKING PACKAGES FOR LIQUID OR PASTY PRODUCTS AND THE RELATIVE METHOD FOR MAKING PACKAGES
Described is a method for making openable packages for a food product in liquid or pasty form comprising the steps of: feeding a continuous film (1); cutting the continuous film (1) to form a plurality of single sheets (2) and forming on each single sheet (2) crease lines designed to define fold lines for forming a container; preparing an element (3) rotating about an axis (3X) of rotation and equipped with a plurality of forming mandrels along its circumference; coupling the single sheet (2) to a forming mandrel (4) in a first predetermined angular position of rotation of the forming mandrel (4); folding the single sheet (2) around the forming mandrel (4) using folding devices (5-8) configured to wrap the single sheet (2) on the forming mandrel (4), folding it along the crease lines, in such a way as to create a bottom (2f) and front walls (2a, 2B) and side walls (2c, 2d) when the sheet is coupled with the forming mandrel (4); performing a partial sealing of the single sheet (2) folded on the forming mandrel (4), in such a way as to obtain a container open only on an end side, positioned opposite the closed bottom (2f), with an opening (2e) for access to an inner cavity; transferring the open and partly sealed container from the forming mandrel (4) to a conveyor device (9); filling with the food product the cavity of the open container through the access opening (2e), and, upon completion the filling, completely closing the container by final sealing of the access opening (2e), in such a way as to make a sealed openable container.
