Method and apparatus for providing an integrated analyte sensor and data processing unit assembly is provided.

PATIENT DAY PLANNING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Infusion systems, infusion devices, and related patient monitoring systems and methods are provided. A method of monitoring a physiological condition of a patient involves providing, on a display device, a graphical user interface display depicting forecast values with respect to different time periods in the future and including graphical user interface elements to allow a user to adjust a characteristic of an event likely influence the physiological condition of the patient at a respective time period. In response to an adjustment to a graphical user interface element, the method continues by dynamically updating the forecast values on the graphical user interface display using a forecasting model associated with the patient.

HEMODIALYSIS SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Hemodialysis systems are described. A hemodialysis system may include a dialysate flow path through which dialysate is passed from a dialysate reservoir, which includes a valved vent to atmosphere, to an ultrafilter. The dialysate flow path includes a pneumatically actuated diaphragm-based dialysate pump for pumping fluid from the dialysate reservoir to the ultrafilter. The hemodialysis system may include a controller for controlling pneumatic actuation pressure delivered to the dialysate pump and at least one valve connecting the dialysate reservoir vent to the atmosphere. The hemodialysis system may be configured to actuate the dialysate pump and the at least one valve to introduce air into the dialysate flow path and expel liquid from the dialysate flow path to a drain.

Respiratory assistance apparatus

A respiratory assistance apparatus includes a conduit connecting a flow generator and an outlet. The conduit includes a venturi formation. The apparatus further includes an oxygen inlet in fluid communication or selective fluid communication with an oxygen outlet. The oxygen outlet is directed into the conduit and toward a mouth of the venturi formation. The flow generator provides a flow path for air to enter the conduit when the flow generator is not operating.

Accessory support and coupling systems for an accessory support

The present disclosure provides a coupling system for coupling a medical accessory to an accessory support is provided. The present disclosure also provides a system for powering a medical accessory with an accessory support.

Hip Joint Device

A liquid medicine injection device includes: a liquid medicine storage unit including a cylinder including a space configured to store liquid medicine therein and a discharge hole connected to the space, and a piston arranged inside the cylinder and moving toward the discharge hole depending on discharge of the liquid medicine; a first electrode on an outer surface of the cylinder; a second electrode on the outer surface of the cylinder, the second electrode facing the first electrode with the piston therebetween; and a circuit unit including a substrate electrically connected to the first electrode and the second electrode.

Drive mechanism for drug delivery pumps with integrated status indication

A drive mechanism includes a housing, a piston adapted to impart movement to a plunger seal within a drug container, a plurality of biasing members disposed in parallel, and a retainer. The biasing members are disposed to release energy to cause movement of the piston from a retracted first position to the extended second position, the piston bearing against the plunger seal to dispense medicine. The retainer is disposed to maintain the biasing members in the energized position and to release the biasing members to permit the piston to dispense the medicine. The drive mechanism may also include an end-of-dose indicator to identify at least one of when the sleeve assembly is disposed subjacent a window in the housing the relative motion of the sleeve assembly with reference to the window or another reference component, the stoppage of such motion, and the rated or change of rate of motion.

Liquid medicine injection device

The present invention discloses a liquid medicine injection device that is attached to a patient's body to inject liquid medicine such as insulin at an appropriate time. A liquid medicine injection device according to the present invention includes: a case; a liquid medicine tank that is disposed in the case and where liquid medicine is received; an electro-osmosis pump that is connected with the liquid medicine tank and moves the liquid medicine; a needle assembly that receives the liquid medicine by being connected to the electro-osmosis pump and injects the received liquid medicine into a human body; and an adhesive member combined to the case and attached to the human body.
