Case inspection and manufacturing method

Techniques for corrugate and chipboard knocked-down case inspection and manufacturing are described. In an example, a piece of cardboard is cut according to a shape of a knocked-down case, and a first plurality of measurements are made. The piece of cut cardboard is scored to create a plurality of fold-lines, based at least in part on the first plurality of measurements, and a second plurality of measurements are made. A fold-line between a major panel and a minor panel is folded, based at least in part on the second plurality of measurements, and a third plurality of measurements are made. A fold-line of a tab of the piece of cut cardboard is folded, based at least in part on the third plurality of measured distances. The tab is glued to a panel of the piece of cardboard to form a knocked-down case.

Double-Skived Paper-Based Container

The present invention relates generally to a new and improved paper-based container. More specifically, the invention relates to a paper-based container that is comprised of a relatively low-density polyethylene coating on one or both surfaces of the container and at least two skive flaps, wherein each of said skive flaps is created during the manufacturing process. The skive flap further comprises at least one leading edge of the container body, and prevents unwanted moisture from entering the container and the contents of the container from saturating the paper-based material. One skive flap is preferably folded in a manner in which a portion of the outside surface of the container is adhered to the inside surface, and a second skive flap is adhered to the outside surface.

RETAIL READY CONTAINERS

A blank for constructing a container includes a front panel, a bottom panel foldably connected to the front panel along a lower front horizontal fold line, and a side panel having a front portion and a rear portion. The side panel is foldably connected to at least one of the bottom panel or the front panel. The blank includes a top panel that is foldably connected to the side panel, and a rear panel foldably connected to the rear portion of the side panel along a rear vertical fold line. The front and rear portions of the side panel are separable from one another along a separation line such that the rear portion of the side panel and the rear panel are configured and adapted for removal.

Dimensionally variable lid manufacturing method and dimensionally variable lid manufacturing device

A first scoreline, and a perforated line along which a lid can be severed are formed beforehand in a lid sheet. The portion of the lid sheet along its first adjustment side is cut off in a strip shape by a first cutter. The portion of the lid sheet along its second adjustment side is cut off in a strip shape by a second cutter.

No-Feed-Roll Corrugated Board or Paperboard Sheet Feeder Retrofit Apparatus and Method

A self-contained no-feed-roll computer controlled corrugated board or paperboard sheet feeder apparatus 200 is configured to upgrade an installed corrugated board processing machine (e.g., 10) and includes a feed table surface 210 for boards (e.g., 2) having drive wheels (222W, 224W, 226W) in an initial variable velocity zone 220 which drives the board in a first motion profile through a first vacuum zone, and a second velocity zone 230 which then drives the board in a second motion profile through a second vacuum zone Retrofittable sheet feeder 200 also includes a controller 300 configured to receive predetermined velocity signals from the host machine 10 and generate (i) a first initial variable velocity control signal for initial variable velocity zone 220 and (ii) a second velocity control signal for second velocity zone 230 in response.
