Process for forming plastic corrugated container and intermediary blank
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
Tool-holder column, unit for converting a flat substrate, and methods for removing a rotary tool from and mounting it in a conversion unit
A tool-holder column for a unit for converting a flat substrate that has two upper bearings (14, 16) each for supporting one end of an upper rotary tool (10), and two lower bearings (15, 17) each for supporting one end of a lower rotary tool (11), the flat substrate being movable longitudinally between the upper rotary tool (10) and the lower rotary tool (11), the bearings (14, 15, 16, 17) being vertically movable in opposite directions on either side of the longitudinal direction (L) of movement of the flat substrate, and a common drive for the bearings (14, 15, 16, 17) allowing the bearings (14, 15, 16, 17) to be moved simultaneously by one and the same distance in opposite directions, and including a screw device (25), the bearings (14, 15, 16, 17) being mounted one above another on the screw device (25) such that the rotation of the screw device (25) causes the linear movement of the bearings (14, 15, 16, 17) in opposite directions.
PLASTIC CORRUGATED CONTAINER WITH SOFT SCORE LINE
A box formed from a plastic corrugated material with soft score lines is provided. The soft score lines are formed to enable the top flaps of the box to lay substantially flat against the outer surface of the box when folded to an open position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARTICULATING BOARD PRODUCT HAVING A FACING WITH SCORE LINES IN REGISTER TO FLUTING
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are imprinted (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are imprinted will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and bent. A lack of precision in folding a board product is known as fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when bent. Hence, the articulated portion “fishtails” out of alignment. Having precisely located impression lines in register to underlying flutes of a medium ensures correct and precise articulation.

Balanced process for extrusion of plastic corrugated sheet and subsequent converting into plastic boxes
The invention is directed to a balanced process for extrusion of a plastic corrugated sheet or blanks, and subsequent converting of the blanks into plastic boxes. The process includes conveying the blanks to a plurality of forming stations for incrementally forming features on the blank needed for forming a box. The present process is performed at a slower speed than typical paper corrugated forming.
BOX MAKING MACHINERY AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING PROCESSING POSITION OF CORRUGATED BOARDS
A box making machinery and a corrugated board running register method, include a feeding unit, a processing apparatus which carries out processing on a corrugated board, a running register device which adjusts the processing position of the processing device in a carrying direction of the corrugated board, and a control device which controls the running register device, wherein the control device includes a carrying misalignment amount calculation unit which calculates the carrying misalignment amount of the corrugated board from the feeding unit to a preset predetermined carrying position, and a control unit which adjusts the processing position of the corrugated board to be processed next using the running register device on the basis of the carrying misalignment amount after processing of the corrugated board has finished.
PROCESS FOR FORMING PLASTIC CORRUGATED CONTAINER WITH ULTRASONICALLY FORMED SCORE LINES
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. Sleeve extractor, unit for converting a flat substrate, and method for extracting sleeves
A rotary-tool sleeve extractor for a unit for converting a flat substrate that includes a base (23) intended to be fixed to the conversion unit (7) and an extraction head (24) that: a) is movable with respect to the base (23) between a withdrawn position and a deployed position and, b) has a gripper (25) that can engage with a sleeve (13) of a rotary tool (10, 11).
A METHOD OF CREASING SHEETS
The invention relates to a method of creasing sheets (12) by using a creasing tool (14, 20, 21) cooperating with a counter element (22, 23), comprising the following steps: a creasing plate blank (24′) is provided with at least one creasing projection (26) by plastically deforming the material of the blank (24′) so as to form a creasing plate (24), the creasing plate (24) is mounted to a creasing tool (14, 20, 21), sheets (12) to be provided with at least one crease are advanced through a gap between the creasing tool (14, 20, 21) and the counter element (22, 23).
