Sheet folding device and carton former
A folder/gluer unit includes an upper transfer belt that transfers a corrugated sheet in a direction of transfer, a pair of forming belts that abut against a folding surface which is formed by folding both end portions of the corrugated sheet in a width direction orthogonal to the direction of transfer and fold both of the end portions of the corrugated sheet in the width direction, a pair of folding bars that are disposed in the direction of transfer, abut against the folding surface at both of the end portions of the folded corrugated sheet in the width direction, and guide both of the end portions of the corrugated sheet in the width direction, a moving mechanism that moves the pair of folding bars in the width direction and in a vertical direction, and a control unit that controls the moving mechanism to adjust a position of the folding bar.
Method and system for processing blanks for forming constructs
A method of processing a blank for forming a construct includes obtaining the blank, the blank including a flexible material and is for being formed into a construct. The method also includes moving the blank in a downstream direction on a first guide and a second guide, and pressing an interior region of the blank with a shaping apparatus in a direction transverse to the machine direction as the blank moves in the downstream direction and as a peripheral region of the blank is engaged by at least one shaping bracket.
Folded package
The technology described herein generally relates to particular form of folded package. The package packages loose particles into a conical container and secures the filling with a folded distal end. More specifically, loose plant matter, such as crumbled dried leaves, are supplied as filling and the package may further be provided with a fluid core.

METHOD FOR FOLDING A CORRUGATED CARDBOARD BLANK INTENDED TO FORM A FOLDED BOX
The invention relates to a method for folding a corrugated cardboard blank (1) intended to form a folded box, the method comprising the following series of steps:
i) supplying a blank (1) comprising at least one longitudinal crease (11);
ii) applying a liquid to the longitudinal crease (11) so as to make the corrugated cardboard more flexible at the location of the longitudinal crease (11), the application being performed by means of a liquid application arrangement (130) comprising a liquid-ejection nozzle (134) provided with a liquid outlet;
iii) folding the blank (1) around the longitudinal crease (11);
wherein an aspiration of liquid is produced inside an aspiration compartment (163) of the liquid application arrangement (130) during step ii). The aspiration making it possible to remove any excess liquid which might not have been absorbed by the cardboard and/or the cardboard dust produced.

Machine and method for forming reinforced polygonal containers from blanks
A method of forming a container from a blank of sheet material using a machine is provided. The blank includes a bottom panel, two side panels, two end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side panel. The machine includes a hopper station, a corner post forming station, and a plunger station. The method includes rotating the reinforcing panel assembly upwardly toward the first side panel as the blank is transported from the hopper station to the corner post forming station, forming a corner wall and a reinforcing end tab by folding reinforcing panels about fold lines as the blank is transported through the corner post forming station, rotating the side panels and the end panels to be substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel by directing the blank through the plunger station, and coupling the reinforcing end tab to an end panel to form the container.
METHOD AND MACHINE FOR FORMING A BOX BY PLACEMENT ON A V-SHAPED SUPPORT
A method and a machine for forming a box from a blank, in which the blank is removed from a storage magazine by suction, the blank is fed horizontally above a support having an upper edge with a V-shaped cross section and faces that correspond to the main walls and are inclined with respect to the horizontal by a given angle a, such that the central folding line, known as the reference folding line, is next to the edge, the blank is placed on the support, the blank is then pressed against a polygonal mandrel, the upper edge of which coincides with and/or is in line with the upper edge of the support, said mandrel having a shape complementary to that of the box, so as to form a tubular box body at an angle to the horizontal, the bottom of the box is formed by folding and pressing together flaps after application of glue, and the inclined box thus formed is ejected, is positioned upright and then is transferred to a filling station.
Folding station of a packaging apparatus and system
The technology described herein generally relates to an automated packaging apparatus and system that packages loose particles into a conical container as well as the final folded packages. More specifically, loose plant matter, such as crumbled dried leaves, are supplied to successive paper cones. The apparatus packs the crumbled leaves into the cones, closes the wide top portion of the cone into a precise shape, and then runs a quality control check to ensure that the final filled cone meets preset specifications.
