A remote control device may be used to wirelessly control functions of one or more dialysis machines, e.g. in a clinic environment and without requiring direct contact with the dialysis machines. Components of the remote control device may include control interfaces, e.g. buttons, for controlling and adjusting functions of a medical device, such as a dialysis machine, including, for example, volume control, blood pump control blood flow rate control and/or adjusting the level in the venous drip chamber, among other control features. Display of the remote control device may include one or more screens that may display information of one or more dialysis machines, patients undergoing dialysis treatment, and/or alarms or alerts of one or more of the dialysis machines. In an implementation, ultrasonic communication is used to wirelessly exchange information and commands between the remote control device and the one or more dialysis machines.

Adaptive audio therapy system
10772533 · 2020-09-15 ·

An adaptive audio therapy system which detects and processes one or more individuals' conditions to provide adaptive, continuous audio therapy in real-time. The adaptive audio therapy system generally includes a detection device that is typically in physical contact with an individual, such as a pacifier or steering wheel. The detection device may include sensors to detect various conditions of the individual, such as heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and the like. A computing device receives and processes the various conditions detected by the sensors. Based on the detected conditions, the computing device provides audio therapy which is adaptive to the condition of the patient and which is continuously adapted in real-time.

Pre-stunning or stunning of animals with a combination of O.SUB.2., CO.SUB.2 .and NO.SUB.2

When stunning animals e.g. by CO.sub.2-stunning aversive reactions may be seen among the animals as a reaction to the high concentration of CO.sub.2. To avoid the aversive reactions animals can be pre-stunned before being final-stunned and perhaps killed or slaughtered when stunned. Pre-stunning of animals may be performed with a combination of gas for pre-stunning comprising at least air and/or O.sub.2 together with CO.sub.2 e.g. in a concentration below 40%, at least air and/or O2 together with N2O, or at least air and/or O.sub.2 together with N.sub.2O and CO.sub.2, where CO.sub.2 may bi in a concentration below 40%. For larger animals such as pigs pre-stunning is performed for less than 60 seconds. A stunning system may comprise means for pre-stunning of animals before performing a final-stunning and may include gas storage for re-use of the pre-stunning gas.

Wound healing device

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND MODULATING CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS

The invention provides systems and methods for monitoring the sleep of a user and modulating a user's circadian rhythm. A monitoring device is provided for monitoring the sleep behaviour and environment of a user and a lighting device is provided for modulating the circadian rhythm of a user. In embodiments, the systems and devices comprise a motion sensor, environmental sensors and LEDs. The data 10 collected by the monitoring device allows a user's circadian rhythm to be modelled and a lighting schedule to be determined and received by the lighting device for modulating the circadian rhythm.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GAS TREATMENT

A system and process for the recovery of at least one halogenated hydrocarbon from a gas stream. The recovery includes adsorption by exposing the gas stream to an adsorbent with a lattice structure having pore diameters with an average pore opening of between about 5 and about 50 angstroms. The adsorbent is then regenerated by exposing the adsorbent to a purge gas under conditions which efficiently desorb the at least one adsorbed halogenated hydrocarbon from the adsorbent. The at least one halogenated hydrocarbon (and impurities or reaction products) can be condensed from the purge gas and subjected to fractional distillation to provide a recovered halogenated hydrocarbon.

Ventilator system

A ventilator system includes a first air tank, a plurality of second air tanks communicated with the first air tank, a plurality of breathing devices respectively communicated with the second air tanks, a plurality of first vacuum tanks respectively communicated with the breathing devices, and a second vacuum tank communicated with the first vacuum tanks. The first air tank has a positive pressure relative to the second air tanks. The second vacuum tank has a negative pressure relative to the first vacuum tanks.

Method and System for Influencing Emotional Regulation through Assessment, Education, and Music Playlist Applications

A method of music therapy informed processes provides an effective online process to help a user regulate their mood through appropriate music selection choices. The method offers mood and music assessments to evaluate the user's mood, music preferences, goals, and understanding of the correlation between various moods and music. A mood sequence formula (MSF) is subsequently created to generate stylized and personalized music medicine pill (MMP) playlists. With additional recommendations of music exercise routine/regimen (MER) to the user, the method delivers therapeutic MMP playlists of the music therapy informed process with personalized music to manage physiological and behavioral responses, emotional regulation, performance and emotional intelligence. Using daily tracking and specific measurement data of biometrical and physiological devices, the user can track the progress and thus enable the method to fine tune the MSF and MMP playlists for the best effectiveness of the music therapy informed method.
