Allergen Exposure System Comprising a Chamber for Mixing Air and Allergens, Which is Separated from the Exposure room That Accommodates the Patients
20170065219 · 2017-03-09 ·

An allergen exposure system includes a mixing chamber, delimited by walls and distinct from the air inlet duct and from the exposure room in which the patients are situated. A mixing between a stream of allergen particles from an allergen injection device and a flow of air devoid of allergens which has passed through a filtration device, occurs through a phenomenon of microturbulence in this mixing chamber which forms a widening with respect to the air inlet duct and makes it possible to obtain a flow of air laden with allergen particles which is injected into the exposure room through at least one diffusion outlet so that it can be inhaled by the patients. This invention is of benefit to medical and pharmaceutical research in the field of allergy study.

VAPORIZER SYSTEM

A social virtual dialysis clinic is provided that simulates social community aspects of a clinic group environment for patients undergoing a medical treatment away from a clinic. The described social virtual dialysis clinic system provides for integrated display devices for medical treatment information functionality, such as for dialysis treatment, with social interaction capabilities among multiple remotely-located patients while the patients are undergoing medical treatments at home or while traveling. Scheduling of the patients as participants in the social virtual dialysis clinic may be performed by a remote computer that receives transmitted information from each of the medical treatment machines performing medical treatments, respectively, on the patients.

Remote respiratory therapy device management

A system and method for updating patient devices is disclosed. The patient devices may include respiratory therapy devices that operate in accordance with instruction sets, such as software or firmware. A server may maintain a database of configuration data indicating the versions of the software and firmware that is currently installed on the patient devices. The server may also transmit updated instructions from over a network, including a wireless network. Particular patient devices may be selected for updating based on the configuration data. Upon performing an update a patient device may transmit configuration data to the server.

Nasal mask system

A mask system includes a cushion for a mask that seals at its upper extent in a region of the nose that is generally above the tip of the nose or pronasale, and extends across a portion of the cartilaginous framework, alar or flares of the patient's nose, e.g., not extending over or across the nasal bone of the patient's nose.
