Ventilator airflow splitter

A ventilator airflow splitter is described herein that includes two to four connectors extending axially through two to four channels starting from a port insert of a single inlet connector and terminating at a port of each of the two to four connectors. The two to four connectors merge into the single inlet connector where the single inlet connector includes an internal cross-splitter individually dividing each of the two to four connectors internally, thereby separating the airflow between each of the two to four connectors such that the air is incapable of moving between connectors. The ventilator airflow splitter also includes gussets where each of the two to four connectors have a gusset individually attached and the gussets merge at the single inlet connector. Each of the two to four connectors are configured to be operatively connected to medical equipmentor a ventilator at the ports and the port insert of the single inlet connector.

REDUCING INFUSION PUMP NETWORK CONGESTION BY STAGGERING UPDATES

A system can include a plurality of infusion pumps and a connectivity adapter in a clinical environment. The connectivity adapter can receive update data, such as a drug library update or an operational software update, and can store the update data within the clinical environment. The connectivity adapter can send the update data to a predetermined number of infusion pumps that have requested the update. At least two subsets of the infusion pumps can receive different blocks of the update data at about the same time. Further, the same or different update data can be provided to the infusion pumps at about the same time.

VENTILATOR AND INFLATION BAG OPERATION OF VENTILATOR

A ventilator includes at-least one air vessel, at-least one inflation bag, at-least one connecting member, a bag holder and at-least one controller member. The at-least one connecting member connects to the at-least one air vessel. The bag holder may hold the inflation bag. The at-least one controller member operates the at-least one inflation bag thereby changing size of the inflation bag to vary a tidal volume and an inspiration-expiration ratio of the ventilator. In another aspect, at-least one controller member is mounted on the bag holder. Further, the at-least one controller member slides within the bag holder to change the shape of the inflation bag to vary a tidal volume and an inspiration-expiration ratio of the ventilator.

VERSATILE INHALATION ANESTHESIA PLATFORM FOR SMALL ANIMAL SURGERY

A small animal bed for use with small animal subjects for sedatation during experimental procedures. In some embodiments, the bed uses flow of heated air through the bed to keep the small animal warm during the imaging process. The imaging bed can also incorporate an integrated anesthesia delivery system and exhaust to remove the unused anesthesia from the small animal bed. Various embodiments include a table platform, as well as a nose cone adapter for fitting multiple subjects simultaneously.

VITAL PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS FOR LOW CARE PATIENTS

A system for measuring the vital parameters of low care patients is described. The system includes a connecting element for a nasal cannula or breathing mask for providing a fluidic connection with the patient and a flow and/or pressure sensor in fluidic connection with the nasal cannula or breathing mask, for sensing, when the nasal cannula or breathing mask is connected to the system, at least a negative pressure signal. The system also includes a processor configured for deriving, directly based on said at least a negative pressure signal, information related to the breathing cycle, and an output means configured for outputting at least one vital parameter of the patient, the outputting comprising outputting information related to the breathing cycle.

The present invention is directed to a multi-user inhalation adapter comprising an apparatus which connects to a source of vapor device and allows several people to inhale vapor at the same time. Generally, the present invention will attach to a vaporizer. In another embodiment, the apparatus can attach to an adaptor that in turn attaches to a balloon storing vapor. The multi-user inhalation adaptor contains a vapor chamber which receives vapor from a vaporizer or other vapor source. Air channels regulated by valves route the vapor from the vapor chamber to nozzles for which the associated valves have been opened. The nozzles are connected to inhalation tubes, through which users can inhale the vapor.

REDUCING FILE TRANSFER BETWEEN CLOUD ENVIRONMENT AND INFUSION PUMPS

A distributed system can include a server outside of a clinical environment and a connectivity adapter and a plurality of infusion pumps within the clinical environment. The connectivity adapter can receive from the server a location of an update, such as a drug library update or an operational software update, to be delivered to the infusion pumps. The location can be received over a first messaging communication channel of a network, and the update data can be received over a second, data communication channel of the network. The update data can be stored at the connectivity adapter such that it can be sent to the infusion pumps.
