Device for the manufacturing a block comprising a locking key and a folded shell that is scored and/or pre-grooved. The device includes a first device that includes at least one shaping device comprising a funnel having corner folding elements and at least a pressing element or a traction element. The at least one shaping device is configured to shape a sheet element into the folded shell so that corner edges of the sheet element are folded inwardly by the corner folding elements and sides of the sheet element assume a vertical position after the pressing or traction element applies a force to a center of the sheet element. A second device is utilized that includes at least a pressing element configured to insert the locking key into said folded shell so as to form said block.

METHOD FOR FORMING REINFORCED POLYGONAL CONTAINERS FROM BLANKS

A method of forming a container from a blank of sheet material using a machine is provided. The method includes forming a corner wall by folding a first pair of a plurality of reinforcing panels inwardly towards a respective side panel and into face-to-face contact with a second pair of the plurality of reinforcing panels, rotating the side panels and end panels to be substantially perpendicular to a bottom panel such that an interior surface of at least one reinforcing panel of the plurality of reinforcing panels is in contact with an interior surface of the first side panel, and coupling at least one other reinforcing panel of the plurality of reinforcing panels to one of the end panels to form the container.

A substantially paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal so as to establish fluid communication between an interior of the composite container and the environment outside the composite container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.

Method for producing a shaped sheet of wrapping
20210197321 · 2021-07-01 · ·

Described herein is a method for producing a shaped sheet of wrapping, including a hollow portion and a perimetral edge that extends along a pre-set profile, said method comprising the steps of: laying a sheet of wrapping on a treatment surface having a forming cavity; forming said sheet of wrapping within said forming cavity so as to reproduce the shape said hollow portion thereon, without subjecting said sheet of wrapping to deformation by stretching; cutting said formed sheet of wrapping along said pre-set profile for producing said perimetral edge and obtaining said shaped sheet of wrapping.

The method is characterised in that the cutting step envisages the use of a laser beam according to a particular cutting mode.
