The blank includes a bottom panel, two opposing side panels, two opposing end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side edge of a first end panel of the two end panels. The reinforcing panel assembly includes a corner panel extending from the first side edge of the first end panel, a first reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the corner panel, a second reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the first reinforcing side panel, a reinforcing corner panel extending from a side edge of the second reinforcing side panel, and an inner end panel extending from a side edge of the reinforcing corner panel. The corner panel and the reinforcing corner panel are configured, upon articulation of the blank, to be positioned into face-to-face relationship to form a corner wall of the container extending from a side edge of an end wall of the container to an end edge of a side wall of the container.
Folding unit and method for producing pourable food product packages
A folding unit for producing folded packages of pourable food products from sealed packs, comprising: movable conveyor which are fed with a plurality of packs at an input station, which feed packs along a forming path and output folded packages at an output station; and folder cooperating with each pack to perform at least one folding operation on pack comprising: at least one pair of shells which are integrally movable along the forming path and are movable relative to each other along a direction transversal to the forming path; shells of each pair may be set along the direction in: a fully closed position in which they exert a pressure onto a relative pack, so as to at least complete a folding operation onto relative pack; and an open position in which they are detached from the corresponding folded package.
BLANK USED FOR MAKING A RAPIDLY ERECTED AND COLLAPSIBLE CONTAINER
A blank used for making a rapidly erected and collapsible container is disclosed. The container is movable between a flat configuration and a box configuration. The blank comprises a primary panel and a secondary panel, which are hingedly coupled to each other. The primary panel is hingedly coupled to a terminal portion. The terminal portion is hingedly coupled to a terminal flap. The secondary panel is hingedly coupled to a secondary flap. The secondary flap is configured to fold towards the secondary panel. The terminal portion is configured to fold towards the primary panel. The terminal flap is configured to connect to the secondary flap. Embodiments foster a blank used for making a container that rapidly, easily, and conveniently transitions from a flat configuration to being ready for use in a box configuration. Moreover, the container provides speed and efficiency without compromising cost effectiveness and structural integrity.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WRAPPING A CARDBOARD BOX
An apparatus (1) for automatic wrapping of a wrapping blank (3) on lateral walls of a cardboard box (2), the wrapping blank (3) having a base (301) and a plurality of flaps (302, 303, 304, 305) connected thereto, comprises a plurality of folding heads (5) for folding the flaps of the wrapping blank (3) and tucking in their outer portions. Each folding head (5) includes a pair of fingers (502A), positionable inside the box (2) and movable reciprocally towards and away from each other so that the fingers (502A) can be reciprocally moved in sliding contact with the wrapping blank (3) on the internal surface of the lateral wall of the box (2).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING CONTAINERS
A method and system are disclosed for forming a can from a re-configurable blank. A blank is also disclosed that may be a paper based blank and may be of multi-layer construction. The method may comprise: (a) supporting the blank in a first orientation; (b) positioning a first portion of an outward facing surface of a blank support device proximate a first portion of the blank while the blank is in the first orientation; (c) while the first portion of the blank is in the first orientation, rotating a second portion of the blank around a second portion of the outward facing surface of the blank support device; and (d) rotating a third portion of the blank from the first orientation, around a third portion of the outward facing surface of the blank support device. A generally tubular side wall may thus be formed for a can.
