Flexible package with reclose region
A reclosable flexible package is described that includes an inner film layer, an outer film layer laminated to the inner film layer, and reclose region defined in a portion of package film layers. The reclose region includes pressure sensitive adhesive disposed between the inner and outer film layers. A number of cut lines are provided in the outer film layer in the reclose region, such that the user, by manipulating the package film layers at the reclose region, can reveal the underlying layer of pressure sensitive adhesive. Once the pressure sensitive adhesive of the reclose region is exposed, the action of the user can serve to adhere the pressure sensitive adhesive to itself and/or other portions of the film, such that the package is cinched in the area of the reclose region and maintains the remnants of the package contents within the reclosed package for later use.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CORRECTING THE POSITION OF A FOLDED BLANK IN A FOLDER-GLUER
A method for checking and correcting the position of a blank comprised of three flaps arranged in a row, the method including the following steps: closing the right- and left-hand flaps one above the other at least in an overlapping portion, gluing the flaps together; positional checking of the right-hand edge and the left-hand edge and comparing those edges with a predetermined position in order to determine a positional deviation of the flaps and, if the positional deviation exceeds an admissible deviation value, then before the glue sets, fixing the central flap at a location via the lower face of central flap using a fixing device using vacuum-induced negative pressing, then holding the upper face of the right-hand flap and of the left-hand flap by respectively at least one suction cup which applies vacuum, and correcting the position of the left-hand flap and/or of the right-hand flap by moving the suction cups sideways.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING OVERWRAP CONTAINER USING CLAMPING AND REFORMING
A method for forming an overwrap container includes the steps of a) providing a base container having a first side seam on a side wall that extends along a longitudinal axis to define an internal volume, and a bottom secured to the side wall; b) providing the side wall of the base container with connecting elements on an outer periphery of the side wall; c) providing an overwrap having a second side seam over the side wall of the base container such that the overwrap is joined in spaced apart relationship by the connecting elements to the side wall of the base container; d) clamping the overwrap to the base container along the second side seam to form a first compressed area; e) clamping the overwrap to the base container in an area 180° removed from the second side seam to form a second compressed area: and f) reforming the second compressed area to define an overwrap container having a substantially uniform spacing and air gap between the base container and the overwrap except in the first compressed area.
Machine for forming cardboard boxes from flat plates
A machine for forming cardboard boxes (B) from flat plates (P), which comprises a feeder of plates with a loader of plates, a sucker mechanism and a conveyor of plates; and a box forming station with a male device with a first rotary electric motor coupled to a first rotational monitoring device, and a male vertically insertable in a mold to form the boxes (B). A pusher member of the conveyor and a suction head of the suction mechanism are both movable by a same second rotary electric motor coupled to a second rotational monitoring device. The first rotary electric motor (11), the second rotary electric motor, the first rotational monitoring device and the second rotational monitoring device are jointly configured to controllably move the male independently of the controlled and synchronized movement of the pusher member and the suction head.
FORMING UNIT AND METHOD FOR FORMING A CONTAINER AND PACKING APPARATUS WITH SUCH A FORMING UNIT
A forming unit for a container from a blank of the container. The unit includes a conveyor and at least one equipment secured to the conveyor. The equipment includes a forming device moving with continuous movement and forming a container from the blank during a predetermined forming path on the conveyor.
Flap folding unit, flap folding apparatus, flap folding method and systems and methods using the same
A flap folding unit (90) for folding flaps of lids of boxes, comprising a hinged guiding element (94) adapted for contacting a flap to be folded upon relative movement of the guiding element and the flap and guiding the flap towards its intended final position and an extendable pusher (96) adapted for pushing the flap into its intended final position.
MACHINE AND METHODS FOR ATTACHING A TRAY BLANK TO A COVER BLANK
A machine including a first deck, a second deck, a first blank transfer assembly, and a second blank transfer assembly is provided. The first and second decks are coupled to a frame. The first blank transfer assembly extends from a first end to a second end and includes a first pick-up assembly moveable between the first end, proximate the second deck, and the second end, proximate the first deck. The second blank transfer assembly extends from a third end to a fourth end and includes a second pick-up assembly moveable between the third end, proximate the second deck, and the fourth end, proximate the first deck. The first blank transfer assembly and the second blank transfer assembly are operationally offset when moving between the first and second ends and the third and fourth ends, respectively.
Method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports
A method of making a preassembled display with automatic stackable supports (PDASS) is described. A PDASS may include two or more blanks (for example pieces of corrugated paperboard) that are joined together, for example to initially form a knocked down flat (KDF). The PDASS may include an insert formed from a single blank, where the single insert blank, when the whole display is erected, automatically erects and provides asymmetric supports that form at opposing corners of the outer blank.
Method for Controlling a Folding Box Machine for Quality Assurance
A method controls a folding box machine having a plurality of machining stations and a plurality of control devices for controlling the quality of folding boxes. Each control device controls different quality features of each folding box, and each control device transmits the result of the control to a control unit. Target values are stored in the control unit in order to classify the control results into results which meet the quality standard and results which do not meet the quality standard, and a folding box is discharged depending on an evaluation. The method advantageously reduces waste.
