Further, the invention relates to a process for manufacturing a container precursor, a container precursor obtainable through this process, a closed container, a process for manufacturing a closed container, a closed container obtainable through this process, a use of the aforementioned container precursor, and a further use of the aforementioned container precursor.
BLANKS AND METHODS FOR FORMING A SHELF-READY DISPLAY CONTAINER
A blank of sheet material is provided for forming a container convertible from a shipping configuration to a display configuration. The blank includes a glue panel, a front panel, a top panel, a rear panel, and a bottom panel coupled together in series by a plurality of generally parallel fold lines. The glue panel includes an opening mechanism and is configured to couple in face-to-face relationship to the bottom panel when the container is formed. The blank also includes a pair of top side panels extending from opposing side edges of the top panel, and a pair of bottom side panels extending from opposing side edges of the bottom panel. An edge perforation line extends along an edge between the top panel and the rear panel, and a face of each of the top panel, the bottom panel, and the pairs of side panels is devoid of perforation lines extending therethrough.
Carton For Articles
A carton for containing a plurality of containers includes a plurality of panels and a plurality of end flaps. The plurality of end flaps is foldably connected to respective panels of the plurality of panels and at least partially closes an end of the carton. The plurality of end flaps includes a first end flap foldably connected to one of a top panel and a bottom panel at a first fold line, a second end flap foldably connected to the one of the top panel and the bottom panel at a second fold line that is oblique to the first fold line, and a third end flap foldably connected to the at least one side panel at a third fold line. The third end flap has at least one notch overlapping at least a portion of one of the first end flap and the second end flap.
Box gluing device
A box gluing device for attaching a glue tab of a box blank to an opposing panel when the box blank is folded so the glue tab is position at an edge of the box blank. The gluing device includes a support structure upon which a gluing apparatus and a support plate are mounted. The gluing apparatus a glue dispensing nozzle for applying glue on one or more surfaces of the box blank. The box blank can be moved through the gluing device to attach the glue tab to the opposing panel. As the box blank moves through the gluing device, a guide rail orients the glue tab in a desired manner while glue is applied to the box blank, and a roller assembly presses the glue tab and the opposing panel together with the glue therebetween. Alternatively, the gluing device can include a clamp arm that holds the box blank in place while glue is applied, and a folding bar that folds the glue tab onto the opposing panel after glue is applied.
FOLDER-GLUER
In a folder-gluer, push-out forces by an air cylinder and a push-out spring mechanism are set such that: (1) when downstream portions of first and fourth panels are passing through a second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed outwardly in a width direction by the push-out forces to extend the downstream portions of the first and fourth panels in the width direction; and (2) when upstream portions of the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed back inwardly in the width direction by the resistance force applied to the second bending plate by the first and fourth panels so as not to extend the upstream portions in the width direction, and wherein the push-out forces are not varied by a control while the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate.

Container With Insulating Features
A container for containing a cold fluid. The container includes a sidewall construct that includes an inner sidewall extending at least partially around an interior of the container, an outer sleeve attached to the inner sidewall, and a cavity defined between the inner sidewall and the outer sleeve. The container also includes a closed bottom defining a bottom of the interior of the container, and insulating features that include the cavity and a plurality of annular bands, each annular band of the plurality of annular bands includes a spacer that extends in the cavity from the inner sidewall to the outer sleeve. Adjacent bands define a respective pocket of a plurality of pockets in the cavity such that the insulating features maintain a desired temperature of the cold fluid.
