A method of manufacturing a coated paperboard container includes: providing a coated paperboard bottom blank, the coated paperboard bottom blank comprising a paperboard substrate and a first barrier coating layer on a first outermost surface of the paperboard substrate; heating the coated paperboard bottom blank; shaping the heated coated paperboard bottom blank, thereby forming a peripheral skirt portion about a periphery of a bottom wall portion of the coated paperboard bottom blank; and sealing a coated paperboard sidewall to the first barrier coating layer of the peripheral skirt portion.
PROCESS FOR THE REPURPOSING OF CORRUGATED MATERIAL TO CREATE A HARD CARDBOARD MATERIAL
A method of creating a hard cardboard material. The hard cardboard material can be made by shredding a corrugated material to a desired size to create a shredded corrugated material. The shredded corrugated material can be mixed with an adhesive material to create a corrugated mixture of the shredded corrugated material and the adhesive material. The corrugated mixture can be compressed to create a compressed mixture of a desired size. The compressed mixture can then be dried for a desired amount of time to create the hard cardboard material.
Method for folding a corrugated cardboard blank intended to form a folded box
The invention relates to a method for folding a corrugated cardboard blank (1) intended to form a folded box, the method comprising the following series of steps: i) supplying a blank (1) comprising at least one longitudinal crease (11); ii) applying a liquid to the longitudinal crease (11) so as to make the corrugated cardboard more flexible at the location of the longitudinal crease (11), the application being performed by means of a liquid application arrangement (130) comprising a liquid-ejection nozzle (134) provided with a liquid outlet; iii) folding the blank (1) around the longitudinal crease (11); wherein an aspiration of liquid is produced inside an aspiration compartment (163) of the liquid application arrangement (130) during step ii). The aspiration making it possible to remove any excess liquid which might not have been absorbed by the cardboard and/or the cardboard dust produced.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CELLULOSE PRODUCT BY A PRESSURE MOULDING APPARATUS, PRESSURE MOULDING APPARATUS AND CELLULOSE PRODUCT
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cellulose product having a flat or non-flat product shape by a pressure moulding apparatus comprising a forming mould. The forming mould has a forming surface defining said product shape, The method comprises the steps of: arranging a cellulose blank containing less than 45 weight percent water in said forming mould; heating said cellulose blank to a forming temperature in the range of 100? C. to 200? C.; and pressing said cellulose blank by means of said forming mould with a forming pressure acting on the cellulose blank across said forming surface, said forming pressure being in the range of 1 MPa to 100 MPa.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PAPERBOARD CUP COATED WITH BIODEGRADABLE VARNISH AND CUP MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
A method is proposed for manufacturing a cup intended for containing a food beverage. The method includes cutting out at least one sheet of coated paperboard to form a side wall and a bottom and joining the sheets thus cut out by heat-sealing to form the cup. The at least one paperboard sheet is coated on at least the interior side of the cup with a biodegradable varnish according to a coating/spreading technique. In this way, the cup is easy to manufacture, and complies with environmental standards in being easy to recycle and compost, even at home. Thus, the biodegradable varnish does not disturb or pollute the operation of the pulper used in the paper industry.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DRY MANUFACTURING RIGID CELLULOSE PRODUCTS
A method for dry manufacturing rigid cellulose products having an essentially non-flat general shape from cellulose fibres comprising the steps of: providing a quantity of separated cellulose fibres from a dry cellulose raw material in at least one separating unit, providing the separated cellulose fibres onto a support structure for forming a cellulose blank, producing the rigid cellulose product having essentially non-flat general shape by pressing the cellulose blank in a product forming unit having a moulding tool for forming the rigid cellulose product, by means of at least one imprinting tool before the step of producing the rigid cellulose product, imprinting the cellulose blank by providing an imprinted pattern onto the cellulose blank to increase internal bonding between individual cellulose fibres at the location of the imprinted pattern to prevent mutual separation of the individual cellulose fibres during the pressing of the cellulose blank in the product forming unit.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CARDBOARD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE SHELL, AND PRODUCTION DEVICE
A method for producing a cardboard-plastic composite shell (10), in particular an MAP cardboard-plastic composite shell for food products, includes at least the method steps (66, 68, 82, 88) providing a plastic foil (12), pre-forming the plastic foil (12) to form a shell shape (14), providing a cardboard blank (16), and connecting the cardboard blank (16) to the already pre-formed plastic foil (12) in order to form the cardboard-plastic composite shell (10). The cardboard blank (16) provided is not folded or incompletely folded directly before the connection to the pre-formed plastic foil (12). When the cardboard blank (16) is connected to the pre-formed plastic foil (16), the cardboard blank (16) is folded onto the plastic foil (12) by a stamp mechanism (24).
