VACUUM INSERTION METHODS FOR INSERTING LUBRICANT FREE SYRINGE STOPPERS AND A SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLING SAME
Methods of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free syringe barrel or lubricant free cartridge tube is disclosed. The method includes (1) inserting a stopper with a sealing rib into a placement region of a vacuum chamber, (2) creating a seal between the vacuum chamber and a syringe barrel or a cartridge tube, (3) maneuvering the stopper into a proximal end of the syringe barrel or cartridge tube by a first differential pressure and/or an insertion rod, (4) maneuvering the stopper through the barrel by second differential pressure and/or an insertion rod, (5) optionally sealing a pressure sealing cap to the proximal end of the vacuum chamber, (6) removing the vacuum chamber, insertion rod, and, if present, the pressure sealing cap. The methods are lubricant free or substantially lubricant free. The vacuum chamber may be electropolished and/or extrude honed.
ON-LINE DRYING OF HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANES
The present invention relates to a continuous process for preparing permselective hollow fiber membranes being suitable e.g. for hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and hemofiltration of blood which comprises a two-stage drying and tempering treatment of the hollow fiber membranes. According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a continuous process for drying permselective hollow fiber membranes on-line. The invention also relates to devices for on-line drying of permselective hollow fiber membranes.
PERCUTANEOUS HEART PUMP CATHETER WITH ABILITY TO TRACK WITHOUT USE OF A GUIDE WIRE
The present disclosure provides a catheter pump system including a catheter assembly having a proximal end and a distal end. The catheter assembly includes an elongate body extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The catheter body further includes a distal portion disposed at the distal end, said distal portion comprising a bent portion, said bent portion configured to enable a steering of said catheter assembly though an artery.
PERCUTANEOUS HEART PUMP CATHETER WITH PRESSURE SENSOR
The present disclosure provides catheter pump system including a catheter assembly configured to be at least partially inserted into a left ventricle (LV). The catheter assembly has a proximal end and a distal end, and includes an elongate body extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The catheter pump system further includes a pressure sensor disposed at the distal end and configured to measure a pressure within a left ventricle when the catheter assembly is inserted.
FOAM CUSHION RESPIRATORY APPARATUS
A mask apparatus for a respiratory treatment can permit delivery of breathable gas to a user. In one example, the mask may employ a frame and cushion to form a seal for both mouth and nose. The frame may be adapted for coupling with a respiratory treatment apparatus so as to permit communication of a pressurized gas from the respiratory treatment apparatus. The cushion, which may be foam, and a frame component may be made in an overmoulding process that moulds the frame onto a pre- formed foam cushion. Such a moulding process may form a mechanical and/or chemical bonding of the foam and mask frame component. The mask frame component may be a shell of plenum chamber, such as for both nose and mouth. Various features of the cushion may further promote sealing and comfort for the under the nose design.
COMPONENT FOR CONVEYING GASES
This invention provides for a component forming a part of a breathing tube, or forming the breathing tube, for example as a part of a breathing circuit for respiratory therapy. The component comprising a tubular body having a foamed wall. The foamed wall can be formed from extrusion of a single extrudate. The foamed wall is of a sufficient minimum optical transparency such that, in use, there is enabled the visual detection of a liquid (or condensate that may have formed) within the tubular body.
PERCUTANEOUS CATHETER
A catheter 30 includes a tube 31 provided with a tubular reinforcing member 311 having a plurality of wires W braided to intersect one another and a plastic layer 312 that covers the reinforcing member. The catheter 30 includes a pair of rings 32 and 33 configured to sandwich a distal end 311A of the reinforcing member from the inner periphery and the outer periphery.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PUMP, FLUID PUMP, AND DIALYSIS MACHINE
A method of manufacturing pumps of different performances for use in a blood treatment device, preferably a dialysis machine, having a pump housing or a pump housing portion for supportingly holding two gear wheels in meshing engagement. The method includes the step of primary shaping of a universal pump housing blank with all features common to the different pumps as well as with such oversizes as to allow machining for manufacturing all different pumps from the same primary-shaped pump housing blank. The method also includes the step of individualizing the universal pump housing blank by machining in the region of the oversizes to achieve the respective performance.
Systems and devices, and methods for replacing an eye dropper tip on an eyedropper bottle with a replacement eyedropper tip
Systems, devices, and methods for replacing an eyedropper tip on an eyedropper bottle with a replacement eyedropper tip. Such a system may include, without limitation, a removal tool, an application tool, and a replacement eyedropper tip. The removal tool may be used to remove a preexisting eyedropper tip on an eyedropper bottle, and the application tool may be used to apply the replacement eyedropper tip to the eyedropper bottle. In some embodiments, the replacement eyedropper tip and the application tool may be formed as a single unit or effectively be the same component.
Can and Actuator Assembly
An apparatus for inserting a canister (3) into an inhaler actuator device (20), wherein the apparatus comprises a force sensor (25) adapted to measure a reaction force between the canister and actuator device as the canister moves relative to the actuator device, and a corresponding method.
