Patient interface
11260193 · 2022-03-01 · ·

A patient interface comprises a support structure and a seal-forming structure. The support structure is arranged to support the sealing portion and is configured to connect to the frame. The sealing portion comprises textile and is attached to the support structure along an outer perimeter of the sealing portion such that in use the sealing portion may be in tension due to reactive stress of the support structure and/or a resilient stretch characteristic of the textile such that the sealing portion exerts a force against the patient's face.

INFLATABLE MEDICAL DEVICES

An inflatable structure for use in biological lumens and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. The structure can have an inflatable balloon encircled by a shell. The shell can have proximal and distal tapered necks, longitudinally-oriented flutes, and apertures at the proximal and distal ends of the shell. The apertures can be recessed in the flutes in the necks. The shell can also have fiber reinforced walls.

COMPONENTS FOR BREATHING CIRCUITS

A breathing circuit component includes an inlet, an outlet and an enclosing wall. The enclosing wall defines a gases passageway between the inlet and the outlet. At least a region of the enclosing wall is formed from a breathable material that allows the passage of water vapor without allowing the passage of liquid water or respiratory gases. The breathing circuit component may be the expiratory limb of a breathing circuit.

Larynx mask having a connector
11253665 · 2022-02-22 · ·

A larynx mask is provided that comprises a dorsal cover plate with an inflatable cuff integrally formed thereon and a tube connecting connector having an insertion section for connecting to an insertion tube. Two separate lumens are provided in the region of the insertion section, these being the esophageal lumen and a respiration lumen. These two lumens are separated from each other by a separating and supporting, wall. The separating and supporting wall extends from the insertion section to the tip of the larynx mask. While the esophageal lumen opens into an esophageal outlet at the proximal end of the mask, the respiration lumen opens in the ventral direction and is closed in the proximal direction close to the tip of the mask. Such a larynx mask is produced in one piece by way of injection of molding and is reinforced by the separating or supporting wall to prevent kinking.

Tray for handling syringe barrels
09783328 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A handling system for use in the manufacture of syringe barrels includes a tray having an array of apertures with a tubular upstand around each aperture, each upstand at the upper end thereof defining a support surface for a syringe barrel. Each syringe barrel comprises a cylindrical part and an enlargement at or adjacent the rear end of the barrel and carries at its forward end a safe needle device or a needle shield of a greater diameter than the syringe barrel. At least one of the enlargement of the syringe barrel or the support surface has a profile tapering or rounded inwardly in the downward direction so that when the tray is supported generally horizontally and a syringe barrel is lowered into an upstand, the syringe barrel is centered by co-operation between the enlargement and the support surface. The enlargement may be a flange at the rear end of the syringe barrel or could be a further component fitted to the barrel.

Method for producing a filled hollow structure

Methods and tools for producing a filled hollow structure, comprising producing an open hollow structure from a first material, providing a closing structure to at least partially close the open hollow structure, filling the hollow structure with a filler medium, and overmoulding the filled hollow structure with a second material as well as hollow structures obtainable by said methods and the use of said tools.

Textile seal with air-assisted biasing portion

A patient interface comprises a plenum chamber and a seal-forming structure. The seal-forming structure comprises a support structure arranged to support a sealing portion that is adapted to sealing engage the patient's face in use. The seal-forming structure may also include a seal biasing portion configured to inflate under pressurization within the cavity in the cushion assembly in use to extend the reach of the sealing portion and decouple the sealing portion from external forces.

Aerosol generating articles and methods for manufacturing the same

A sheet-type aerosol generating article includes at least two aerosol generating sheets each having aerosol generating material and an inductively heatable susceptor The inductively heatable susceptor is positioned between the aerosol generating sheets and each of the aerosol generating sheets has an exposed surface. Methods for manufacturing sheet-type aerosol generating articles are also disclosed.

SYRINGE ADAPTER AND GUIDE FOR FILLING AN ON-BODY INJECTOR
20220305203 · 2022-09-29 ·

A system and a method for filling an on-body injector includes a needle of the prefilled syringe being aligned with a fill port of the on-body injector. The needle may then be inserted into a guide of a needle cover attached to the on-body injector. An adapter attached to the syringe barrel may guide the needle into a center of the bore of the guide and into the fill port of the on-body injector. The needle may be inserted into the fill port and the adapter may be mechanically coupling to the guide. After the adapter is mechanically coupled to the guide, a volume of the drug of the prefilled syringe may be dispensed into a reservoir of the on-body injector. Once the reservoir is filled to a desired amount, the needle may be removed from the fill port by decoupling the adapter from the guide.

Foam cushion respiratory apparatus
11426552 · 2022-08-30 · ·

A mask apparatus for a respiratory treatment can permit delivery of breathable gas to a user. In one example, the mask may employ a frame and cushion to form a seal for both mouth and nose. The frame may be adapted for coupling with a respiratory treatment apparatus so as to permit communication of a pressurized gas from the respiratory treatment apparatus. The cushion, which may be foam, and a frame component may be made in an overmoulding process that moulds the frame onto a pre-formed foam cushion. Such a moulding process may form a mechanical and/or chemical bonding of the foam and mask frame component. The mask frame component may be a shell of plenum chamber, such as for both nose and mouth. Various features of the cushion may further promote sealing and comfort for the under the nose design.
