SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAKING ENVELOPES AND/OR OTHER PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS WITH EXPANDED PAPER CUSHIONING
According to some illustrative embodiments, a system and method is provided that includes, e.g., means for continuously conveying an assembly of layered sheets including a first paper sheet, at least one expanded sheet and a second paper sheet in a conveying flow between, e.g., a rotary mandrel or member at an upstream position in a direction of conveyance and a rotary die crushing and cutting tool, with said rotary mandrel or member and said rotary die crushing and cutting tool maintaining the at least one expanded sheet in an expanded state, said rotary tool having a crushing component that crushes a portion of the at least one expanded sheet such as to form a flap forming region of an envelope and a cutting component that cuts the assembly of layered sheets such as to separate individual envelope units.
Plastic Bag Making Apparatus
An apparatus successively makes plastic bags each of which includes an end surface provided with a protrusion, without specially supplying a web of bottom gusset material. A first web of panel material is folded along a first folded line at a position adjacent to a side edge of the first web, while a second web of panel material is folded along a second folded line at a position adjacent to a corresponding side edge of the second web. A first folded portion is formed in the first web. There exists a distance between the side edge and the first folded line, which is larger than twice a distance between the corresponding side edge and the second folded line by a predetermined distance, after being folded. The end surface is formed by the first folded portion, the protrusion being formed by the predetermined distance.
BAG MAKING AND PACKAGING MACHINE
Provided is a bag making and packaging machine having superior workability in film joining work. A bag making and packaging machine is a bag making and packaging machine that uses film having at least one character or a figure printed on its front side, and is equipped with a film roll support unit, a conveyance unit, a bag making unit, and a light emitting component. The film roll support unit supports a film roll in which the film is wound in a roll. The bag making unit processes the film to make bags. The conveyance unit is positioned between the film roll support unit and the bag making unit. The conveyance unit feeds the film to the bag making unit. The light emitting component illuminates, from the direction of the front side of the film, the film positioned between the film roll support unit and the conveyance unit.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING BAGS FOR PACKAGING ITEMS, AND BAG PRODUCED THEREFROM
A process is for manufacturing bags and a bag forming web. A bag is produced therefrom. The process includes conveying a continuous printed web including printed features along a conveying direction. The continuous printed web is cut into printed web sections along the conveying direction, and at least two of the printed web sections include(s) portion(s) of the printed features. The printed web sections are spaced-apart and a second continuous web is inserted between adjacent ones of the spaced-apart printed web sections, while an alignment between the printed web sections including printed features is maintained one relative to the other, along the conveying direction. The second continuous web is secured to the adjacent and spaced-apart printed web sections along longitudinal adjacent edges, thus forming a combined continuous bag forming web. Bags are formed from the combined continuous bag forming web, and the features on the different printed sections of the bags are in alignment.

RECLOSABLE POLYMERIC BAG
The present invention relates to improvements for reclosable polymeric bags. Disclosed is a polymeric film bag with film made from a blown film extrusion or a cast extrusion process. The bag is formed from a continuous multi-layer web of polymeric film. The bag comprises burn through side seals formed by a rotary drum that forms the sides of the bag and severs the film of the multi-layer film to form individual bags. Interlocking zipper stock is provided to the web and affixed to an upper end of the bag by an adhesive. Further disclosed is a high-speed continuous process and system for manufacturing the reclosable bags.
Alignment device
A first feed device adjusts an intermittent feed amount thereof based on output of a first sensor such that a design position of a first panel is aligned with a first fixing position during every pause phase of an intermittent feed cycle. A second feed device adjusts tension of a second panel and an intermittent feed amount of a feed unit based on output of at least one second sensor such that a design position of the second panel is aligned with a second fixing position during every pause phase of an intermittent feed cycle. A third feed device adjusts an intermittent feed amount thereof based on output of a third sensor such that the design position of the first panel is aligned with the second fixing position during every pause phase of an intermittent feed cycle.
