INTERMITTENT FEED DEVICE
Webs include print patterns repeated at print pitches. The first web is intermittently fed at the print pitch of the first web by a first pair of feed rollers to a section. The second web is fed at the print pitch of the second web by a second pair of feed rollers to the section. The first web and the second web are fed in a superposed state by a downstream pair of feed rollers from the section. A first tension roller and a second tension roller engaging with the first web and the second web are biased by a biasing member via a linkage.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING POUCHES
A method for manufacturing pouches made of at least partly thermoplastic material, including the steps of superimposing at least two webs of at least partly thermoplastic material, joining the webs at adhesion regions or lines, and cutting the webs at cutting regions or lines in order to provide pouches. In a condition in which the webs are superimposed, the method further includes the step of mutually aligning the webs by causing the elongation of at least one of the two webs via the application of heat.

SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR MAKING A POUCH OR CONTAINER
A process for making a container includes the step of providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface along a folded web of thermoplastic material that comprises a plurality of container templates. The process also includes the step of picking up, with a turner, each container template. The turner includes one or more rotator assemblies that include a rotatable shaft and a bag-contacting surface connected to an end of the rotatable shaft. The bag-contacting surface is configured to engage a top exterior side of each container template. Additionally, the process includes the step of reorienting, with the turner, each container template. The rotatable shaft is configured to horizontally translate and rotate each container template.
Protective products such as envelopes having a unique combination of interior padding of expanded slit sheet paper and exterior lining of embossed paper
A protective product, such as, e.g., an envelope or pouch, is provided that includes at least one expanded slit paper sheet in an expanded state, and an embossed paper sheet facing the expanded slit paper sheet and fixed to the expanded slit paper sheet along at least a portion of a length in an expansion direction of the expanded slit sheet paper. In the preferred embodiments, the embossed paper sheet has a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of the embossed paper sheet, thereby inhibiting deformation of the embossed paper sheet that is fixed to the expanded slit sheet paper.
Plastic bag making apparatus
An apparatus successively makes plastic bags each of which includes an end surface provided with a protrusion, without specially supplying a web of bottom gusset material. A first web of panel material is folded along a first folded line at a position adjacent to a side edge of the first web, while a second web of panel material is folded along a second folded line at a position adjacent to a corresponding side edge of the second web. A first folded portion is formed in the first web. There exists a distance between the side edge and the first folded line, which is larger than twice a distance between the corresponding side edge and the second folded line by a predetermined distance, after being folded. The end surface is formed by the first folded portion, the protrusion being formed by the predetermined distance.
