Remote respiratory therapy device management

A system and method for updating patient devices is disclosed. The patient devices may include respiratory therapy devices that operate in accordance with instruction sets, such as software or firmware. A server may maintain a database of configuration data indicating the versions of the software and firmware that is currently installed on the patient devices. The server may also transmit updated instructions from over a network, including a wireless network. Particular patient devices may be selected for updating based on the configuration data. Upon performing an update a patient device may transmit configuration data to the server.

Method for fluid delivery

A method for filling a reservoir a filling assembly having a needle, and a fluid. The reservoir is in a disposable housing assembly with a septum fluidly connected to the reservoir, a septum access assembly having a first position covering the septum and a second position providing access to the septum, and a bias mechanism for biasing the septum access assembly to the first position. The method includes piercing the septum with the needle, inserting fluid to the reservoir through the needle, contacting the filling assembly to the septum access assembly, and removing the needle from the septum. Removing the needle from the septum allows the bias mechanism to move the septum access assembly from the second position to the first position. The disposable housing assembly is attached to a reusable housing assembly.

Autonomous Waste Collection Assembly and Medical Waste Collection System and Methods

An autonomous medical waste collection assembly. A base supports a waste canister in fluid communication with a manifold receiver, and a suction pump. A controller is in electronic communication with a powered wheel and configured to transmit a movement signal for a motor to power the powered wheel to move the assembly along a floor surface. The assembly may be operable in an autonomous mode in which the powered wheel automatically moves the assembly along the floor surface, and a manual mode in which resistance from the powered wheel is negated to provide for manual movement of the assembly. The controller may be further configured to steer the assembly based on a current location input signal, and a disposal location input signal from a locator network within the medical facility that is indicative of a location of a disposal station.

AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE

The present disclosure provides an aerosol delivery device comprising a control device that is connectable with a cartridge and that can include one or more additional elements for improving one or both of visible indications of use to a user and resistance to infiltration of liquid into the control device. More particularly, the control device may include a light guide configured for transmitting to a window from a light source that is off-set from the window and a controller configured to direct a varying level of light from the light source. The control device may include one or more elements that are configured to limit infiltration of liquids into the control device and thus may be consider to be water-resistant or water-proof.

System and method for delivering therapeutic agents to the uterine cavity

Apparatus for delivering a therapeutic agent to a uterine cavity including an elongated member having a fluid channel for passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity, a dispensing member extending distally of the elongated member and having at least one perforation for passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity into contact with the endometrium. An infusion line is in communication with the fluid channel for passage of a fluid into the uterine cavity to assess leakage to determine integrity of the uterine cavity prior to passage of the therapeutic agent into the uterine cavity.

Software and methods for controlling neural responses in deep brain regions

Techniques for non-invasively controlling targeted neural activity of a subject are provided herein. The techniques include applying a stimulus input to the subject, the stimulus input being formed by a deep artificial neural network (ANN) model and being configured to elicit targeted neural activity within a brain of the subject. The stimulus input may be a pattern of luminous power generated by the deep ANN model and applied to retinae of the subject. The stimulus input may be generated by the deep ANN model based on a mapping of the subject's neural responses to neurons of the deep ANN model.

MEDICAL FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM INCLUDING REMOTE MACHINE UPDATING AND CONTROL
20230347027 · 2023-11-02 ·

A medical fluid delivery system and apparatus for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery apparatus includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor determines a dialysis treatment or a preprogrammed task is not being performed by the least one dialysis fluid pump. After determining a dialysis treatment or a preprogrammed task is not being performed, the processor activates a connectivity agent to communicatively couple to a server via a network. The processor then receives, from the server via the connectivity agent, a command message to perform a preprogrammed task. The processor next deactivates the connectivity agent to stop communication with the server and causes the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform the preprogrammed task.

METHODS FOR DELIVERY OF PSYCHEDELIC MEDICATIONS BY INHALATION AND SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING THE METHODS

Provided are methods for delivering psychedelic drugs to a patient in need thereof comprising administering via inhalation of a psychedelic drug in the form of an aerosol, methods for treating a central nervous system (CNS) disorder or psychological disorder via inhalation of a psychedelic drug in the form of an aerosol, devices for delivery of psychedelic drug and nitrous oxide mixtures by inhalation, including with remote activation and control, and methods for treating a central nervous system (CNS) disorder or psychological disorder via inhalation of nitrous oxide/oxygen mixtures having an amount of nitrous oxide of 15 to 25% by volume of total gas.

Medical pump electronic pairing with device

Systems and methods for wireless electronic communication between a medical apparatus and a remote electronic computing device comprise generating and outputting by the medical apparatus an output signal, including: encoding data in the output signal according to a predetermined characteristic of the output signal; receiving and decoding by the remote electronic computing device the encoded data in the output signal; and establishing a pairing between the medical apparatus and the remote electronic computing device.
