Methods and systems for controlling an insulin pump in response to glucose measurements are responsive to a base insulin delivery profile and a temporary insulin delivery profile. These can be used, e.g., to control blood glucose level of a subject using a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin infusion pump. During a selected time range, an insulin amount for the pump to supply is determined using the temporary insulin delivery profile. Outside that time range, the insulin amount is determined using the base insulin delivery profile. The temporary insulin delivery profile can specify an exact amount to be supplied (a “hard” profile), a nominal amount to be supplied if doing so does not drive glucose out of a desired zone (“soft”), or a soft profile with a minimum amount of insulin to be delivered (“semi-soft”).

VITAL PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS FOR LOW CARE PATIENTS

A system for measuring the vital parameters of low care patients is described. The system includes a connecting element for a nasal cannula or breathing mask for providing a fluidic connection with the patient and a flow and/or pressure sensor in fluidic connection with the nasal cannula or breathing mask, for sensing, when the nasal cannula or breathing mask is connected to the system, at least a negative pressure signal. The system also includes a processor configured for deriving, directly based on said at least a negative pressure signal, information related to the breathing cycle, and an output means configured for outputting at least one vital parameter of the patient, the outputting comprising outputting information related to the breathing cycle.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLEET MANAGEMENT OF PORTABLE OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS
20220310242 · 2022-09-29 ·

A system and method for prediction of the time to service components for a fleet of portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) is disclosed. Each of the POCs include a transmitter to transmit operational data. A network interface is configured to receive operational data from the POCs. A user database contains profiles of users associated with respective POCs. An analysis engine updates the profile of a user associated with a POC in the user database based on received operational data from the POC. The analysis engine determines a similar profile in the user database to the updated profile. The analysis engine predicts a service date for the component of the POC based on the similar profile and the updated profile.
