The remote controller connection port including: an output system connection point; an input system connection point; a debugging connection point; and a ground connection point held at a reference voltage level. Wherein the processor is configured to output diagnostic information to the output system connection point in response to the debugging connection point receiving a signal at the reference voltage level.

System for accelerated testing of silicone drainage in syringes

A centrifugation approach used to accelerate current empirical methods used to investigate silicone drainage in syringes is disclosed. A siliconized syringe is placed into a holder of a centrifuge in a predefined orientation. Centrifugation of the syringe is activated at a predetermined G rate and for a period of intended simulation time and is ended as that time elapses. The time can be a function of intended simulation time, acceleration due to gravity, square of centrifuge revolution rate, and distance from center of rotor hub to matching point on the syringe barrel. One or more injection functionality parameters of the syringe is assessed after the elapsed period of time. A bucket fixture for retaining one or more syringes in the predefined orientation is also disclosed.

A method of monitoring the flow of a gas along a channel, the method including the steps of: Utilising at least a first ultrasonic transducer to project an alternating ultrasonic signal substantially transverse to the direction of gas flow and ultrasonic receivers to receive the signals; Sampling the ultrasonic signal after it traverses the gas flow; and Processing the sampled signal to determine properties of the gas and flow parameters relating thereto.

IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD AND IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR ALLEVIATING MOTION SICKNESS

The present disclosure provides an image display method and an image display system for alleviating motion sickness. The image display method includes: obtaining a number of shock and speed information of a transportation; comparing at least one of the shock and speed information with one or more than one corresponding threshold to determine whether motion sickness occurs; and in response to the determination that motion sickness occurs, positioning a position of a first image displayed on a display unit according to the shock and speed information.

Bubble detector on proximal end of catheter with fail-safe mechanism

A system includes a probe, a processor, and a bubble detector. The probe is configured for insertion into a lumen of a patient and is coupled to an irrigation pump. The processor is configured to control delivery of irrigation fluid to the probe by turning on and controlling the irrigation pump. The bubble detector is coupled to a proximal portion of the probe. In response to the irrigation pump being turned on, the bubble detector is configured to automatically start detection of gas bubbles in the irrigated fluid, and transmit fail-safe signals indicating fail-safe bubble detection is operational. The processor is further configured to monitor the fail-safe signals and, in absence of fail-safe signals, to automatically disable delivery of the irrigation fluid.

Electronic cigarette

An electronic cigarette includes a liquid supply including liquid material, a heater operable to heat the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol, a wick in communication with the liquid material and in communication with the heater such that the wick delivers the liquid material to the heater, at least one air inlet operable to deliver air to a central air passage upstream of the heater, and a mouth end insert having at least two diverging outlets. The electronic cigarette can also include an air flow diverter which directs incoming air away from a heating zone of the heater.

Patient Line Blockage Detection

A dialysis machine (e.g., a peritoneal dialysis (PD) machine) can include a pressure sensor mounted at a proximal end of a patient line made of a distensible material that provides PD solution to a patient through a catheter. During treatment, an occlusion can occur at different locations in the patient line and/or the catheter. When an incremental volume of additional solution is provided to the patient line while the occlusion is present, a change in pressure results. The change in pressure depends on the dimensions and the distensibility of the non-occluded portion of the patient line. If the change in pressure, the incremental volume, the properties related to the distensibility of the patient line, and some of the dimensions of the patient line are known, the location of the occlusion can be inferred. The occlusion type can be inferred based on the determined location.
