A plastic bag includes a sealed region. The sealed region is formed along part or whole of an edge of the plastic bag by a section in which at least two plastic films are sealed to each other. The edge of the plastic bag includes a sealed edge of the sealed region. A method for making the plastic bag includes heat-sealing the films to each other to form the sealed region. The method further includes cutting the films such that part or whole of the sealed edge is formed by a cut edge. The method further includes heating an area formed by the cut edge of the sealed edge to smooth the area.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR POUCH MAKING

A method and apparatus for making bags or pouches is disclosed. It includes a track, at least two sleds that move on the track, and operating stations mounted on the sleds. The film moves along the track, and the sleds move with the film while performing operations on the film. The system can have the sleds stationary while operating for an intermittent machine, and move to reconfigure when the film is moving. The operating stations include one or more of a sealer, a heater, a cooler, an inserter, a knife, a punch, a perforator, a static charger, and a printer. The track forms a continuous path or is linear. A controller controls the sleds and operating stations. The controller includes an operating time and/or a reconfiguration module. The operating time module is responsive to a user set material thickness or a sensed material thickness.

Method for three-dimensionally shaping resin packaging member, and resin packaging member

A method for three-dimensionally forming a resin packaging member. The resin packaging member is heated to a temperature not higher than the Vicat softening temperature of the packaging member, and then compression shaping is conducted at a temperature not lower than room temperature and not higher than the Vicat softening temperature so as to form a three-dimensionally shaped portion with a large protrusion.

Device for cooling adhesive applied to a surface of sack bodies

The device for cooling an adhesive applied to a surface of bag bodies includes a transfer conveyor and a cooling conveyor. The transfer conveyor conveys the bag bodies at a transfer speed to the cooling conveyor, and the cooling conveyor conveys the bag bodies taken over from the transfer conveyor at a cooling conveyor speed. The transfer speed is higher than the cooling conveyor speed, which is why the bag bodies are arranged overlapping each other on the cooling conveyor. Due to this higher packing density, there is achieved a long dwell time of the bag bodies in the cooling conveyor at simultaneously a high flow-rate of bag bodies through the device.

A gusset preheating assembly and a method of using the same. The assembly includes a heating gun assembly mounted on a frame. Spreader rods open up a gap in a bag's gusset and nozzles blow warmed air into the gap. Orthogonally arranged first and second hydraulic members are operatively engaged with heating gun assembly and are activated to move the heating gun assembly vertically or horizontally. Hot air blowing into the gap from the nozzle relaxes the gusset. Pressure is applied to the relaxed gusset, thereby reducing the thickness of the gusset region of the bag. The reduction in thickness makes it possible to increase the number of gusseted bags that are packaged in a container or on a roll.

Hermetic, Insecticidal Food Storage Bag, Use of It and a Method for Its Production

A crop storage bag (1) made is of a high-strength textile (7) material which is extrusion-coated or laminated with a multilayer film (8) that comprises an insecticidal layer (9) in addition to a hermetic layer (10) which prevents oxygen from entering the bag. This oxygen barrier suffocates the insects inside the bag, and the insecticide kills insects that try to bore through the bag.
