BOTTLE POUCH WITH RIGID HANDLE
A bottle pouch with an integrated fitment and inner support handle piece includes a flexible pouch in the shape of a bottle including a flexible pouch body with a handle region, and a combined fitment and inner support handle piece including a rigid handle portion extending from the combined fitment and inner support handle piece. The combined fitment and inner support handle piece is coupled to the flexible pouch. The inner support handle piece extends from the inside of the fitment and is internal to the flexible pouch body and passes from the interior to the exterior of the flexible pouch body adjacent to the handle region of the flexible pouch body to form the rigid handle portion. In another form, the inner support handle piece extends from the outside periphery of the fitment and is external to the flexible pouch body, but is secured to the periphery of the flexible pouch body with one or more outer sleeves or loops.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FILLING A POUCH TYPE PACKAGE
An apparatus for filling a pouch type package with a liquid product, comprising a plurality of stations arranged to consecutively receive and handle the pouch type package, the plurality of stations comprising a filling station for filling the product compartment with the liquid product, a sealing station for sealing the product compartment and comprising a first sealing member arranged to provide the pouch type package with a first seal closing the filling duct, a gas filling station arranged to introduce gas into the handle compartment, and a transfer unit comprising a gripping member for retrieving the package from the gas filling station and transferring it to a neighboring down-stream situated station. A gas sealing unit (36) integrated in the gripping member of the transfer unit, the gas sealing unit (36) comprising a second sealing member (37) arranged to provide the pouch type package with a second seal entrapping gas introduced into the handle compartment. The invention also relates to a method for filling a pouch type package.
Panel for a flexible package
A panel for a flexible package (100), and a method and system for forming the panel is provided. The panel comprises a first laminate having an open-area; a second laminate extending from a top edge to a bottom edge; and a third laminate, the third laminate sealed with the first laminate to cover the open-area, and the top edge and the bottom edge of the second laminate sealed between the first laminate and the third laminate such that area between the top edge and the bottom edge of the second laminate remains free forming a loop with the panel. The panel preferably forms a side-gusset (102) of a flexible packaging pouch, wherein the loop can be used as a handle (110) to carry the flexible package.
Method for manufacturing a disposable biodegradable bag
A method for manufacturing a disposable biodegradable bag for carrying items then discarding the bag without creating unwanted pollution includes providing a first rectangular sheet of biodegradable material having a first top edge, a first bottom edge, and a first pair of lateral side edges. The first rectangular sheet of biodegradable material may be a first biodegradable dryer sheet. The method further includes providing a second rectangular sheet of biodegradable material having a second top edge, a second bottom edge, and a second pair of lateral side edges. The second rectangular sheet of biodegradable material may be a second biodegradable dryer sheet. The method further includes coupling the first bottom edge to the second bottom edge and coupling the first pair of lateral side edges to the second pair of lateral side edges to form a bag having an opening between the first top edge and the second top edge.
WASTE COLLECTION BAG
Disclosed are example embodiments of a waste collection bag. The waste collection bag includes a body with an opening at one end. The waste collection bag also includes a plurality of compartments formed within said body. Each compartment is sized and shaped to receive a user's finger(s), thereby defining separate finger areas within the bag to facilitate gripping and manipulation of the bag. The compartments are formed by a sealed area extending partway up from a closed edge opposite the opening.

The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.

A flap spreading device that folds back a front flap of a bottom portion of a flat tubular body, conveyed by a bottom folding drum, upside down with respect to a back flap and planarly spreads the front flap and the back flap along an outer peripheral surface of the bottom folding drum in a square bottom forming device of a bag making machine, and includes: a pair of guide plates that guides both side portions of the flat tubular body along a conveyance direction of the bottom folding drum to planarly spread the front flap and the back flap; a pair of robots having the pair of guide plates as end effectors; and a position and posture adjustment device that adjusts positions and postures of the pair of guide plates in a three-dimensional space to target positions and target postures through operations of the pair of robots.
