System and method for producing bags or pouches
A system for manufacturing sacks or bags includes at least two sack or bag producing machines which control components are assigned to, and which are connected with each other by at least one transport device and/or one storage device. The system includes a control unit configured such that manufacturing speeds of the two sack or bag producing machines can be transmitted to and/or processed by the control unit. The control unit is configured such that it proposes and/or sets the manufacturing speed of the two sack or bag producing machines based on system operating parameters.
Method and Device for Embossing Relief Structures
A method and device of embossing individually light-reflecting areas on a foil material, the method and device comprising feeding a foil material into a roller nip between a pair of rollers, wherein the pair of rollers comprises a first roller and a second roller, providing each of the first roller and second roller at their respective surfaces at least in a determined perimeter, respectively with a plurality of polyhedron-shaped positive projections and a plurality of negative projections complementary to the positive projections, whereby the plurality of positive projections are arranged according to a 2-dimensional grid. The plurality of polyhedron-shaped positive projections seamlessly and gaplessly join with those corresponding negative projections at the intended embossing of the foil material, hence enabling a homogeneously jointed embossed polyhedron-like shape in the foil. The method and device further comprise, for the purpose of providing a plurality of light-reflecting areas on the foil material, that are intended to reflect light in line with a table of reflectivity values for the 2-dimensional grid, according to an orientation and shape of each of the plurality of light-reflecting areas, and enabling a perception by the human eye of a user, of the intended reflected light on a determined wide viewing angle covered by reflected light from any of the light-reflecting areas, a step of adjusting for each of the plurality of light-reflecting areas to be provided, an orientation and shape of the corresponding positive projection in the 2-dimensional grid, that is intended to emboss the light-reflecting area.
PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS SUCH AS ENVELOPES HAVING A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF INTERIOR PADDING OF EXPANDED SLIT SHEET PAPER AND EXTERIOR LINING OF EMOSSED PAPER
A protective product, such as, e.g., an envelope or pouch, is provided that includes at least one expanded slit paper sheet in an expanded state, and an embossed paper sheet facing the expanded slit paper sheet and fixed to the expanded slit paper sheet along at least a portion of a length in an expansion direction of the expanded slit sheet paper. In the preferred embodiments, the embossed paper sheet has a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of the embossed paper sheet, thereby inhibiting deformation of the embossed paper sheet that is fixed to the expanded slit sheet paper.
Asynchronous spatial LBT
Improvements to asynchronous spatial listen before talk (LBT) procedures are disclosed. In a shared spectrum network spatial LBT procedures are used for directionally targeting the channel reservation process. Prior to transmitting channel reservation signaling, the transmitter and receiver determine an effective interference considering available multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) configuration information. When the effective interference exceeds a predefined threshold, the node may without transmission of its channel reservation signal. Otherwise, when the effective interference remains within the threshold, each node's transmitted channel reservation signal may also identify at least a beamforming matrix either as payload or used to precede the node's channel reservation signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAKING ENVELOPES AND/OR OTHER PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS WITH EXPANDED PAPER CUSHIONING
According to some illustrative embodiments, a system and method is provided that includes, e.g., means for continuously conveying an assembly of layered sheets including a first paper sheet, at least one expanded sheet and a second paper sheet in a conveying flow between, e.g., a rotary mandrel or member at an upstream position in a direction of conveyance and a rotary die crushing and cutting tool, with said rotary mandrel or member and said rotary die crushing and cutting tool maintaining the at least one expanded sheet in an expanded state, said rotary tool having a crushing component that crushes a portion of the at least one expanded sheet such as to form a flap forming region of an envelope and a cutting component that cuts the assembly of layered sheets such as to separate individual envelope units.

PRINTING METHOD AND PRINTING APPARATUS
In a printing method, is obtained position information of an invisible region invisible from outside, out of the printing surface of the packaging base material. Then a flushing process in which ink is ejected the ink toward the invisible region from the nozzle based on the position information is performed. Therefore, printing for packaging pouch can be satisfactorily performed on the packaging base material without impairing the design quality of the packaging pouch manufactured by applying the bag making process to the packaging base material.
THERMOPLASTIC FILMS AND BAGS WITH COMPLEX STRETCH PATTERNS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
DIGITAL PRINTING ON PAPER BAGS FOR LOW VOLUME APPLICATIONS
Embodiments of a method of printing low volumes of paper bags on a digital printing press are provided. In the method, a plurality of orders are received. Each order includes a particular format relating to a bag size selected from a predetermined number of bag sizes and a graphic to be printed. In the method, the plurality of orders are organized into a plurality of batches. Each batch includes orders of the plurality of orders having a same bag size. A first batch is selected, and the graphic of the orders contained in the first batch is digitally printed on a first roll of paper having dimensions associated with the bag size of the first batch. The first roll of paper is fed through the digital printing press, and the digital printing press prints the graphic of each order contained in the first batch without stopping when transitioning between orders.
Protective products such as envelopes having a unique combination of interior padding of expanded slit sheet paper and exterior lining of embossed paper
