Patient interface device having multi-chamber adjustable cushion, and apparatus and method for adjusting same

A cushion member (12, 12′, 12″) for a patient interface device (4) that includes a main body portion (34) including a plurality of chambers (48) and a self-sealing cap portion (36) coupled to the main body portion. The cap portion covers each of the chambers and forms a plurality of membrane members (52), with each membrane member being positioned over and sealing a respective one of the chambers. The cap portion is made of a self-sealing material such that that each of the membrane members is structured to self-seal responsive to having a needle inserted through and pulled out of the membrane member. Also, an apparatus and a method for selectively adjusting the internal pressure of the chambers of such a cushion.

Reusable data storage fixtures for use with power injector syringe assemblies

Systems and methods are presented for delivering medical fluids to a patient. A data storage device (120) is either separately attached to or incorporated within the structure of a reusable fixture that may be detachably connected to a barrel (111) of a syringe (107). A filling station (110) and an power injector (108) may each include a read-write device (114, 122) that is operable to read the data storage device (120) within its field of view. When the read-write devices (114, 122) are attached to the filing station (110) and the power injector (40), respectively, and when the fixture including the data storage device (120) is attached to the syringe (107), the read-write devices (114, 122) may be operable to store data on and read data from the data storage device (120) associated with the syringe (107). After an injection procedure, the fixture may be detached from the syringe (107) and reused with a new or resterilized syringe (107).

A supplementary device configured to be releasably attached to a drug delivery device. The supplementary device comprises a housing having a channel configured to slidably receive the drug delivery device; a first alignment feature to ensure a specific alignment of the supplementary device relative to the drug delivery device and restrict rotational movement of the supplementary device around a drug delivery device; and a second alignment feature to prevent sliding movement of the supplementary device relative to the delivery device once attached thereto. The second alignment feature comprises a moveable securing member biased towards the drug delivery device, and a release member operable to move the securing member out of engagement with the drug delivery device.

The present disclosure provides a clip for an intubation stylet or bougie onto a laryngoscope blade. A bougie attached to the clip may be easily guided into a trachea of a patient. The bougie can then be easily disconnected and subsequently used as a stylet for a breathing tube. The disclosed bougie introducer clip may be made to fit a variety of different laryngoscope blades. In preferred embodiments, the disclosed bougie clip works well with Glidescope™ laryngoscope blades. The disclosed bougie introducer clip allows for manipulation of the bougie for advancing the bougie into the airway.

A ventilator comprising a respiratory gas source and control systems, a housing with a receptacle and, lying at the base in a depression, an interface for receiving different data transfer sticks and data storage sticks.

SANITARY EXTUBATION COVER AND METHOD FOR ITS USE
20210379309 · 2021-12-09 ·

A sanitary extubation cover used to cover an endotracheal tube and a patient's face in order to accommodate sanitary extubation. The sanitary extubation cover includes a mask and a cover which covers the endotracheal tube. If the patient coughs, the cough would be directed into the mask and the endotracheal tube (which is covered by the cover) but contaminants from the cough would be suppressed from spreading into the open air.

Feature assigned inhalation aid

The present invention relates to a feedback for inhalation. In order to further improve feedback and instructions to further support the correct use of an inhaler, a feedback apparatus (10) for inhalation is provided that comprises an inhaler interface (11), a processor (14), a feedback device (16), and a feature assigner (13). The inhaler interface is configured to temporarily attach the feedback apparatus to an inhalation apparatus. The feedback device is configured to provide a feedback to the user to aid in inhalation with the inhalation apparatus. The feature assigner is configured to identify a type of a predetermined feature of the attached inhalation apparatus, and the feedback device is configured to provide the feedback in dependency of the identified type of feature to instruct the user to adjust inhalation maneuver adapted to the attached inhalation apparatus. In an example, the predetermined feature is a device type of the inhalation apparatus, and the feature assigner is configured as an inhalation device type assigner (70) to identify the type of a currently used inhalation device. In another example, the predetermined feature is an accessory type of the inhalation apparatus, and the feature assigner is configured as an accessory type assigner (72) to identify the type of a currently used accessory.

CRIMP TOOL FOR COMPRESSIBLE CATHETER PUMP

A crimp tool facilitates crimping a resiliently radially compressible human-implantable catheter pump, and transferring the crimped pump into a tubular transfer sheath, by pulling the heart pump through an elongated tube that defines a tapered longitudinal bore. The bore has an inside dimension that tapers gradually along the length of the bore. A large end of the bore is sufficient to accept an uncrimped heart pump. A small end of the bore has a dimension similar to an inside dimension of the transfer sheath. A proximal end of the tube has a hub. A proximal end of a bore through the hub is configured to receive a distal end portion of the transfer sheath coaxially with the tube bore. Optionally, a latch is configured to releasably restrain the distal end portion of the transfer sheath within the hub.
