The catheter devices include a body extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end, wherein the body includes an elongated channel along a longitudinal length of the body extending from the proximal end to the distal end of the body, wherein the elongated channel is configured to receive an elongated needle of the removable needle device, and the body includes one or more cutting edges extending in a proximal direction from the distal end of the body. The body of the catheter devices includes one or more recesses adapted to mate with one or more catches of the removable needle device for coupling the needle device to the catheter device. Methods of using the catheters, removable needle devices and the kits are also disclosed.

In accordance with this disclosure, we provide a medical conduit configured to deliver breathable gases in a respiratory therapy system. The medical conduit comprises: i. a first conduit end connector configured to be connected to a user interface; ii. a second conduit end connector configured to be connected to a heated inspiratory conduit; iii. the medical conduit further comprising at least one portion intermediate the first and second conduit end connectors made from a breathable material; iv. the medical conduit being configured to connect the user interface to the heated inspiratory conduit; v. the medical conduit being configured, when connected to the user interface and the heated inspiratory conduit, to be located in an incubator; wherein vi. the medical conduit is unheated. Such a medical conduit can be used in a respiratory therapy system, which comprises an incubator, with the medical conduit inside the incubator.

The ET tube cap further includes an ET tube receiving aperture that is specifically arranged to engage an ET tube in a removable relationship prior to the ET tube connected to a ventilator while the ET tube is deployed in a patient. Optionally, the ET tube cap can comprise at least two pressure relief valves that open when pressure inside of the ET tube cap exceeds a predetermined pressure threshold to prevent harm to the patient that is being intubated.

Provided herein is a capnography fitting for use in a capnography system wherein the capnography fitting is configured to fit inhalation masks of various sizes and shapes so that viable carbon dioxide readings can be obtained from an air sample obtained from a patient's exhaled gas. The fitting includes a rigid tube having a proximal end inlet configured to receive an inhalation gas and to slidably engage a mixed gas fitting, and a distal end outlet configured to slidably engage directly to an inlet of an inhalation mask configured to cover a nose and/or mouth. The tube also includes an angled port in fluid communication with and disposed adjacent to the proximal end inlet or the distal end outlet. Methods and kits are also provided.

Mask system

A mask system for delivery of respiratory therapy to a patient includes a nares portion and a mouth portion and an inlet conduit connected to at least one of the nares portion and the mouth portion to deliver the pressurized, breathable gas. The mask system is adapted to selectively utilize the nares portion and/or the mouth portion in a first mode utilizing both the nares portion and the mouth portion, and in a second mode utilizing the nares portion and not utilizing the mouth portion.

A treatment application garment, such as a glove or a sock, is disclosed. The garment allows for various treatments directed toward the fingers and toes, such as the fingernails and toenails. For example, each digit of the garment may contain an absorbent pad containing acetone. The hand or foot is inserted into the garment such that the nail is positioned below the absorbent pad containing the acetone, allowing the acetone to be constantly applied to the nail to remove polish therefrom. After the treatment is complete, the glove may be removed and the open end thereof tied off, thereby containing the acetone and the smell thereof within the glove. Other features and treatments are also disclosed.
