Adaptable tooling methods, system and apparatuses
A customizable case former and it system and method of use provide for a case former having a base, interchangeable case gages and forming heads. Contained within the interior of the base are slide blocks mounted on slide rails and assemblies in such a manner as to allow the slide blocks to be slidingly reconfigured to form a case forming cavity of varicose sizes and shapes. The size and shape of the case forming cavity is established and maintained by a template opening, defined by, and potentially unique to, each case gage. The size and shape of the forming head corresponds to the size and shape of the template opening. The slide blocks are secured to the case gage by removable locking pins.
Leak proof container with push lock body
A leak proof container and a method of forming the container from a blank. The blank includes a bottom panel, first and second side panels connected to the bottom panel at opposing lateral edges, and first and second end portions located at opposing longitudinal ends of the blank. Each end portion includes an inner end panel connected to the bottom panel, an outer end panel connected to the inner end panel, and first and second corner panels, each corner panel having an edge connected to a respective one of the first and second side panels and having an edge connected to the inner end panel. First and second locking tabs are defined in the outer end panel, each locking tab being defined by a lateral separation line located longitudinally inward from an outer longitudinal edge of the outer end panel and extending laterally to define a free tab end.
Method and System for Preparing Blanks for Forming Cartons
A method of preparing a blank for forming a carton includes obtaining a blank, positioning the blank in a blank feeder assembly of a system for preparing blanks, moving the blank from the blank feeder assembly to a conveyor assembly of the system, and activating the conveyor assembly to move the blank along a coating applicator assembly of the system, the coating applicator assembly having a container defining a reservoir holding a volume of a coating and an applicator wheel rotatably supported at least partially in the reservoir of the coating applicator assembly. The method further includes applying a portion of the coating from the reservoir to a portion of the blank.
RETAIL READY CONTAINERS
A blank for constructing a container includes a front panel, a bottom panel foldably connected to the front panel along a lower front horizontal fold line, and a side panel having a front portion and a rear portion. The side panel is foldably connected to at least one of the bottom panel or the front panel. The blank includes a top panel that is foldably connected to the side panel, and a rear panel foldably connected to the rear portion of the side panel along a rear vertical fold line. The front and rear portions of the side panel are separable from one another along a separation line such that the rear portion of the side panel and the rear panel are configured and adapted for removal.
COLLAPSABLE AND REUSABLE SHIPPING BOX AND METHOD OF USE
A collapsible, reusable shipping box has an initial flat configuration, a box configuration and a mailer configuration. In the mailer configuration, the mailer can be returned.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING CONTAINERS
A method and apparatus are disclosed for forming containers. The containers may be cans, including composite cans. The apparatus may include a cylindrical mandrel and a blank may be formed into a cylindrical tube around the mandrel. Rotational apparatuses may engage portions of a blank that may be in a flat configuration and may rotate the portions around the outward cylindrical surface of the mandrel. Free edges of the tubular blank may be sealed by a sealing strip that may be T-shaped in cross section. A cup may be installed in an end opening, such as a bottom end, of the cylindrical tube. The cup may be sealed in the end opening by a seaming process using a seaming apparatus.
Carton for an article
A carton for holding at least one article includes a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton, the plurality of panels comprising a front panel, a back panel, and at least one side panel, at least one top end flap foldably connected to a panel of the plurality of panels, and at least one bottom end flap foldably connected to a panel of the plurality of panels. The at least one bottom end flap is for forming a closed bottom of the carton and the at least one top end flap is for forming a closed top of the carton. The closed top of the carton has a square configuration and the closed bottom has a round configuration.
Carton with handle
A carton for containing a plurality of articles is disclosed herein. The carton has a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels comprises at least one top panel and at least one side panel foldably connected to the at least one top panel. The carton includes at least one end flap foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels and at least partially forming a closed end of the carton. The carton has a handle with at least one handle panel in the at least one top panel and at least one handle relief flap in the closed end of the carton. The at least one handle relief flap is configured to be located between respective adjacent containers of the plurality of containers upon activation of the handle.
Container having a push-in locking device and blank therefor
A container formed from at least one blank of sheet material includes a tray, a cover configured to close the tray, and a locking device. The tray includes a tray front panel. The cover includes a cover front panel that extends downwardly from a front edge of a cover top panel. The cover front panel is configured to be positioned in an at-least partially overlapping arrangement with the tray front panel when the cover is closed. The locking device includes a locking tab hingedly attached to the cover top panel and struck in part from the cover top panel and in part from the cover front panel. The locking device also includes a locking recess struck from an upper edge of the tray front panel. The locking device is configured such that the locking tab can be pressed down into the locking recess to selectively secure the cover to the tray in a closed and locked configuration.
Box Target
A firearm target is formed from a cardboard substrate. A first target is printed on the cardboard substrate. The cardboard substrate is folded into a box shape. The cardboard substrate is cut to form a first flap and a second flap on a first side of the cardboard substrate. The first flap and second flap include notches. The first flap and second flap are folded over with the notches interlocked. The flaps can be oriented to the bottom of the box shape and weighted for stability. A second target can be mounted to the box shape over the first target.
