Box with reinforcement ring
A method of forming a box is discussed. A sheet of foldable material has a central region and tabs extending from the central region around its perimeter. Each tab includes a first fold line at the central region, and second and third spaced apart fold lines parallel to the first fold line. A reinforcement ring has a perimeter corresponding to the perimeter of the central region and a thickness greater than a thickness of the sheet. The reinforcement ring is disposed on the central region. Each tab is folded along the first fold line to extend transversely to the central region against the reinforcement ring, along the second fold line to extend inwardly over the reinforcement ring, and along the third fold line to extend transversely to the central region against the reinforcement ring. The tabs folded around the reinforcement ring define side wall(s) of the box.
Combined box and resealable bag
A combined box and resealable bag includes a paperboard box having a front wall, a rear wall, a pair of opposed side walls and a plurality of flaps capable of forming a bottom wall. The box walls have upper ends and lower ends, inside surfaces and outside surfaces. The upper end of each of the box walls is folded outwardly and downwardly so that the inside surface of each of the upper ends forms a strip that faces outwardly. The inside surfaces of the box walls, including the outwardly facing strips, have a thermal plastic coating thereon. The combination also includes a bag made of flexible plastic material having a zippered top and downwardly extending front and rear bag walls. While the box is still in its flat blank condition, the lower edge portion of the bag walls are heat sealed to the outwardly facing strips on the box blank. Thereafter, the front, rear and side walls of the box blank are expanded to form a box.

Box with reinforcement ring
A box having a base wall having an outer surface defined by a central region of a folded sheet, and one or more side walls forming a closed perimeter and extending from an inner surface of the base wall. Each side wall has spaced apart inner and outer layers being defined by a folded tab of the folded sheet, the folded tab defining an enclosure. A reinforcement ring is received in the enclosure defined by the folded tabs of the side wall(s). The reinforcement ring has a thickness greater than that of the folded sheet. A method of forming a box is also discussed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FORMING PACKAGES
A system and method of at least partially forming reinforced packages. The method comprises moving a web of material in a downstream direction through a web forming section, at least partially forming at least a bag portion in the web of material during the moving the web of material through the web forming section, forming an attached web by adhering a construct to the bag portion of the web of material, and moving the attached web through a separating station. The moving the attached web can comprise moving the construct with the web of material. The method further can comprise separating the bag portion from a remainder of the web of material to form a bag during the moving the attached web through the separating station, the bag being attached to the construct.
