Defect detecting device and bag making apparatus
12083765 · 2024-09-10 · ·

A defect detecting device includes a detection unit and a movement mechanism. The detection unit includes a support, an arm supported by the support swingably around a swing shaft, and a sensor for detecting a displacement of the arm relative to the support. The arm includes contactors. The movement mechanism keeps the contactors away from a feed plane during a feed phase of a sheet panel, and moves the contactors to the feed plane and then moves the contactors from the feed plane during a pause phase of the sheet panel. The defect detecting device further includes a determination part configured to determine whether a defect in bag making is present based on data from the sensor.

NON-CONTINUOUSLY LAMINATED STRUCTURES OF THERMOPLASTIC FILMS WITH DIFFERING MATERIAL COMPOSITIONS AND FUNCTIONAL MATERIAL PROPERTIES

A non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films comprises thermoplastic films with differing material compositions and differing functional benefits. In particular, one or more embodiments comprise thermoplastic films that are co-extruded separately and then combined together by a post-extrusion bonding process. The differing composition of the various films of the non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films and the post-extrusion bonding process, provide the structures with the functional benefits of the individual films.

METHODS OF MAKING VENTED FLEXIBLE CONTAINERS

Methods of making vents in containers made from flexible materials, including forming vent openings in a first flexible material, forming vent stand-offs on a second flexible material, and combining the flexible materials to form a vent passage for the flexible container.

A heat seal device includes at least two primary biasing members and a secondary biasing member. These biasing members are located between a slider and a first heat seal member to bias the first heat seal member towards a second heat seal member when bag components are sandwiched by the first and second heat seal members. The primary biasing members are arranged in a straight line in the first horizontal direction. The secondary biasing member is arranged offset from the primary biasing members in a second horizontal direction perpendicular to the first horizontal direction. The heat seal device is configured to allow adjustment of biasing force applied to the first heat seal member by the secondary biasing member.

Draw tape bag

The bag may include a draw tape that may be used to cinch closed the opening of the bag. The draw tape has at least one stretched elastomeric strip attached to the draw tape in an extended condition. The draw tape may be smaller in size than the bag sidewalls. The draw tape may include an elastic characteristic, such as patterned ribs. In one embodiment, the roll of bag is kept under tension to maintain the elastomeric strips in a stretched condition.

FILMS AND BAGS WITH VISUALLY DISTINCT REGIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first layer non-continuously is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer or another appearance. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.

PLASTIC BAG MAKING APPARATUS

An apparatus to successively make plastic bags, each of which includes an end surface provided with a spout, by employing the general feeding way of panel material, to be simple in structure, low in cost, high in speed, and to make it possible to successively make the plastic bags two by two. A folded portion is formed in a first web of panel material, an aperture is formed in a web of end surface material, a spout is inserted into the aperture, the spout and the web of end surface material being heat sealed with each other. The web of end surface material and the folded portion are heat sealed with each other while the web of end surface material and a second web of panel material are heat sealed with each other about the spout.

In a packing bag to store a stored article Z with tight seal by a welded sheet material 1, a separation-prepared line portion 5, separable by predetermined tensile force by human hands, is provided, and, the separation-prepared line portion 5 is composed of half-cut laser-worked grooves 7 disposed parallel with a small interval and concaved on an inner face 1a and an outer face 1b.

Plastic Bag Making Apparatus

An apparatus is improved to successively make plastic bags each of which includes an end surface provided with a spout, by employing the general feeding way of panel material, to be simple in structure, low in cost, high in speed and to make it possible to successively make the plastic bags two by two. A first folded portion is formed in a first web of panel material 1. An aperture is formed in a second web of panel material 2. A spout is inserted into the aperture, the spout and the second web of panel material 2 being heat sealed with each other. The second web of panel material 2 is guided by a guide device 18 to be folded after being heat sealed so that a second folded portion should be formed in the second web of panel material. The spout is turned over by the second folded portion. The second folded portion and the first folded portion are heat sealed with each other while the second folded portion and the second web of panel material 2 are heat sealed with each other about the spout.
