Film bag
A film bag has a pair of longitudinally extending film face panels having longitudinal edges and first and second folded film gussets having longitudinal edges welded at longitudinal seams to respective longitudinal edges of the face panels and formed with two spaced throughgoing cuts forming a handle loop. A separate film inner liner panel lies against an inner face of the first gusset, extends a full transverse width of the first gusset, and is fixed at the longitudinal welds of the first gusset to the front panels so that the liner prevents leakage from the bag through the cuts.
Machine for production of stand up pouches
A machine for the production of a stand up pouch from a web includes a film feed which moves the web at continuously at a constant speed through a punching station, a folding station, and a welding station. The welding station includes a pair of seal bars which are driven by a server motor at a speed equal to a speed of the web during the welding. The punch station includes at least one electromagnetic punch.
Wrapping material and method of making the same
A wrapping material includes a substrate and a buffer layer, wherein the substrate has a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge, and the buffer layer has a third lateral edge and a fourth lateral edge. The buffer layer is stacked on the substrate. The first lateral edge of the substrate is tightly merged with the third lateral edge of the buffer layer, and the second lateral edge of the substrate is tightly merged with the fourth lateral edge of the buffer layer. A method of making a wrapping material includes: providing a substrate; stacking a buffer layer on the substrate; using a thermal cutting tool to cut the stacked substrate and buffer layer so that the substrate and the buffer layer are tightly merged at where they are cut as being melted by heat.
Bag making apparatus and bag making method
First and second panel webs are superposed on each other and fed in their longitudinal direction. After a side gusset is temporarily fixed to the second panel web, the side gusset is divided by a dividing device to form a pair of open edges. The open edges are aligned with a line of weakness of the first panel web when the first and second panel webs are superposed on each other. The side gusset is temporarily sealed to the first and second panel webs by a temporary seal device to form temporary sealed sections. The first panel web is guided to be divided along its line of weakness and to be folded on the sides of its division edges. This guiding of the panel web and the temporary sealed sections cause the side gusset to be opened at the open edges to form open surfaces. An end face web is then disposed on the panel web to be superposed on folded parts of the panel web and the open surfaces of the side gusset.
Phased intermeshing rollers for creating patterns in trash bags
Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns are described. In particular, one or more implementations comprise thermoplastic bags with ring rolling, SELFing, or other deformation patterns phased or aligned relative to the sides of the bags. The phased deformation patterns can allow for reducing or eliminating deformation patterns in areas of the thermoplastic bag in which side seals or other seals are formed. Additionally or alternatively, the phased deformation patterns can provide for zones that provide differing properties (e.g., functional or aesthetic). Such zones can vary aligned along a width of the thermoplastic bag and optionally also vary along a height of the thermoplastic bag. The differing zones can provide the thermoplastic bags with phased deformations that provide leak prevention, liquid containment, and other benefits.
Zipper tape-equipped bag body, article housing method for zipper tape-equipped bag body, manufacturing method for zipper tape-equipped bag body, and manufacturing device for zipper tape-equipped bag body
A female belt-shaped base is attached to a bag body at a region from a female hook to a first end near an open end of the bag body and to a second end near a housing space. A male belt-shaped base is attached to the bag body only in a bonding region without being attached at a region from a position where an engagement portion is continuously attached to a first end near the open end of the bag body.
Thermoplastic bags with complex stretch patterns
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
Thermoplastic bags with duplicative seals
A thermoplastic bag includes duplicative seals. In particular, in one or more implementations, a thermoplastic bag includes a first seal and at least a second seal reinforcing the same area of the thermoplastic bag. For instance, in one or more implementations, the thermoplastic bag includes multiple seals along each side edge or along the hem. If one seal fails, the other seal(s) can remain in place to prevent leaks. Thus, the duplicative seals of the thermoplastic bag can provide reinforced strength and desired aesthetics.

Multi-layer thermoplastic films and bags configured to provide a perceivable color change upon being subjected to a strain and methods of making the same
A multi-layer co-extruded film includes a first layer having a first color and a second layer having a second different color, wherein the first and second layers are co-extruded layers. The multi-layer co-extruded film also includes a plurality of intermittently stretched regions, wherein the multi-layer co-extruded film exhibits a perceivable color change when subjected to a strain. In perceivable color change or E between about 2.50 and about 7.00. Methods of forming a multi-layer co-extruded film includes coextruding a first layer having a first color with a second layer having a second different color and intermittently stretching a plurality of regions of the multi-layer co-extruded film, wherein the first layer and the second layer are co-extruded and intermittently stretched to exhibit a perceivable color change when subjected to a strain.
