EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT MACHINE COMPRISING A POKA-YOKE FOR A PRESSURE SENSOR
An extracorporeal blood treatment machine includes a blood treatment device, a conveying device for conveying blood through the blood treatment device, and a connection mask designed to interchangeably receive a tube set in a predefined arrangement. The tube set has pressure-monitoring lines that branch off from the tube set and can be connected to pressure sensor connections located on the connection mask. The pressure sensor connections are spaced apart and positioned so as to match the tube set such that, when the tube set is mounted in the predefined arrangement on the connection mask, each pressure-monitoring line, owing to its limited length and the predefined arrangement of the associated branch on the blood treatment machine, can be connected exclusively to only one of the pressure sensor connections. A corresponding tube set is used with the extracorporeal blood treatment machine.
Carrying and Storage Case for External Catheter System
A case for a catheter system is disclosed, the case including a case body including a first side coupled to a second side. The case can include padding with a plurality of cavities to receive components of the catheter system and a strap to secure components of the catheter system to an interior of the case body. The case can further include one or more clips affixed to an interior wall of the first side or the second side of the case body. The one or more clips can be configured to secure additional catheter tubing or an external catheter to the interior wall of case body.
REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS OF RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEVICES
A system and method is disclosed for performing diagnostics on patient devices (720). The patient devices (720) may include respiratory therapy devices that operate in accordance with instruction sets, such as software or firmware. A server (710) may maintain a database of diagnostic data (718) indicating faults in one or more of a plurality of patient devices (720). The server (710) may transmit this diagnostic data (718) to one or more computing devices (760), including identification of faults that have occurred. The server (710) may also transmit service data to the plurality of patient devices (720) in order to address the identified faults.
ANCHOR FOR A PATIENT INTERFACE
An apparatus for providing positive pressure respiratory therapy to a patient breathing in a respiratory cycle includes an anchor on a housing configured to secure a patient interface to the apparatus when not in use by the patient.
Integrated extracorporeal oxygenation and CO.SUB.2 .removal with ventilation system
A transportable extracorporeal system includes a housing, a blood flow inlet, a blood flow outlet, a plurality of hollow gas permeable fibers, a gas inlet in fluid connection with inlets of the plurality of hollow gas permeable fibers, a gas outlet in fluid connection with outlets of the plurality of hollow gas permeable fibers, a first moving element, a concentrated oxygen generating device, a second moving element, a hollow transport conduit having a proximal opening and a distal opening and a power source configured to provide power to the first and second moving elements. The plurality of hollow gas permeable fibers comprising a gas transfer membrane. The concentrated oxygen generating device is configured to recycle waste oxygen from the gas transfer membrane to increase throughput and remove, by an adsorption/desorption process, unwanted gasses.
Therapeutic oxygen breathing apparatus and exercise system
An exercise with oxygen therapy (EWOT) apparatus for rejuvenating oxygen-depleted cell tissue and simulating high altitude oxygen conditions. The EWOT apparatus includes a first cylindrical bladder for providing oxygen-enriched air and a second bladder for providing lower-purity hypoxic air. The first bladder is retained within an open, lightweight rectangular-shaped frame having vertical frame members. An air supply source provides the oxygen-enriched and hypoxic air to the first and second bladders, respectively. A control switch, which can be manually and/or programmed to automatically operate, selectively delivers the oxygen-enriched and/or hypoxic air to a breathing mask worn by a user while exercising on exercise equipment. The first bladder includes a plurality of weights which provide a positive pressure to the air therein. The cylindrical first bladder is attached to the vertical frame members with slidable rings and expands and collapses in a vertical direction when being filled or during use, respectively.
Modular assembly for a portable hemodialysis system
A modular assembly for a portable hemodialysis system may include a dialysis unit, e.g., that contains suitable components for performing hemodialysis, such as a dialyzer, one or more pumps to circulate blood through the dialyzer, a source of dialysate, and one or more pumps to circulate the dialysate through the dialyzer, and a power unit having a housing that contains suitable components for providing operating power to the pumps of the dialysis unit. The power unit may be selectively connected to the dialysis unit and provide power (e.g., pneumatic power in the form of pressure and/or vacuum) to the dialysis unit for the pumps when connected to the dialysis unit, but may be incapable of providing power to the dialysis unit when disconnected from the dialysis unit. The dialysis unit and the power unit are sized and weighted to each be carried by hand by a human.
BREATHING TUBE ASSEMBLIES WITH ADJUSTABLE ELBOW
Breathing tube assemblies for use with a respiratory therapy device, such as a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device, includes an elbow that permits adjustment of a position of the breathing tube assembly relative to the respiratory therapy device. In some arrangements, the breathing tube assembly includes a breathing tube and a swivel elbow. The breathing tube is rotationally fixed relative to the respiratory therapy device and the swivel elbow rotatable relative to the breathing tube. In other arrangements, the breathing tube assembly includes an elbow that can be coupled to the respiratory therapy device in one of several possible positions.
Flow regulated, time cycled high frequency percussive ventilator
The control-monitor, used in combination with a percussive ventilation breathing head and internal reciprocating injector shuttle, includes in a casing a generator, sensory pulse amplitude, frequency and MAP modules and a gas amplitude and pulsatile frequency control knobs. First and second AMP control indicia include a bent conical AMP indicia (a wide span indicating greater amplitude, a narrow span indicating lesser amplitude) and a single waveform with an adjacent double-headed arrow vertical line. First and second F control indicia include a bent conical F indicia (a wide span indicating greater F and a narrow span indicating lesser F) and multiple waveforms with an adjacent double-headed arrow horizontal line.
Insert-storage type intravenous drip moving seat
An insert-storage intravenous drip moving seat includes a main body, two extension support arms, an inverted V-shaped support arm and plural moving wheels. The two extension support arms form a V-shaped structure, and each is bent and connected to a fixed bar, so that a storage space is formed under the main body and the two extension support arms; the bottom of both ends of each fixed bar has a moving wheel; the inverted V-shaped support arm is connected to the two extension support arms; the bottom of the other ends of the inverted V-shaped support arm has one of the moving wheels; both moving wheels are disposed on the same radius distance; and a guide entrance is formed between the two fixed bars and corresponsive to the inverted V-shaped support arm to provide an insert-storage design of the inverted V-shaped arm by the guide entrance.
