RESPIRATORY ASSEMBLY WITH CONDUIT ADAPTER AND METHODS OF USE
Nasal respiratory assembly includes a pair of sheets. Each sheet defines an opening sized and shaped to fit over a nostril of a patient, with a ferromagnetic dome-shaped ring positioned at an underside of the sheet, with an upper side of the sheet configured for sealable engagement with the nostril. The assembly also includes a pair of posts. Each post includes a magnetic ring positioned at a first end and a ball shaped receptacle positioned at a second end. The magnetic ring is removably attachable to the dome-shaped ring. The assembly further includes a pair of conduit adapters with openings therethrough for fluid flow. A post end of each conduit adapter includes a socket, each socket shaped to receive the ball shaped receptacle in a ball and socket arrangement to form a substantially airtight connection therewith.
Nightstand for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Device
A nightstand designed to support and contain various CPAP machines and associated CPAP equipment including air tubing, cleaning devices and distilled water storage. Separate drawers and compartments are provided to house the CPAP machine, CPAP cleaning device, and water supply containers. Various openings are designed to increase utility and convenience in the operation and storage of CPAP devices and associated equipment. A pump may be provided to transfer water from water supply containers to the CPAP machine reservoir. The CPAP nightstand is designed to be located at bedside and provides easy access to the CPAP machine and its ancillary devices while keeping all equipment in dedicated drawers. Each dedicated drawer provides openings to allow passage of air tubing, water hoses and power cords. The CPAP nightstand also has generic drawers for additional storage.
Hub Cleaning Device for Medical Connectors and Method of Use
A cleaning device is configured access and remove fluid from and dry a moat region defined by a hub of a medical connector, thereby minimizing the potential for bacterial growth in the hub. The cleaning device takes the form of an absorbent block which can be inserted into the moat by extending about a central male fitting and into a gap between the male fitting and the inner wall of a female hub of the medical connector. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the block takes the form of a tubular cylinder particularly configured for use on ENFit medical connectors wherein the absorptive feature of the cleaning device can be employed alone or in combination with another cleaning tool used to first remove any existing dried and caked solution in the hub before removing residual cleaning fluid from the moat.
Disinfecting methods and apparatus
According to one implementation a central venous catheter is provided that includes an end emitting optical fiber that is configured to end emit bacterial disinfecting light to disinfect a conduit located inside the hub, the conduit connecting the working lumen of an infusion shaft with a working lumen of a main shaft.
Packaging container for antimicrobial caps
Systems, methods, and articles for providing an antimicrobial composition to the proximal elements of a trans-dermal catheter and into the lumen of the transdermal catheter are disclosed. In an embodiment, an antimicrobial composition on surface a cap element transfers antimicrobial to the proximal end of the transdermal catheter. The system comprises an elongate member configured for insertion into a lumen of a catheter, the elongate member containing an antimicrobial.
RESPIRATORY ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
A respiratory assistance apparatus (4) is provided, adapted to deliver gases to a user or patient (1). The apparatus (4) comprises a housing (10) provided with a chamber (5) and a heater (25), the chamber (5) comprising at least one gas port (15) connected to, or arranged to be connected to, at least one intermediate passageway (12). The apparatus (4) is operative according to a disinfection mode of predetermined profile in which the heater (25) heats liquid in the chamber (5) to produce vapour at or above a target dewpoint temperature and/or humidity level. The apparatus (4) is arranged such that the vapour is delivered to the intermediate passageway (12) to disinfect the intermediate passageway (12) with moist heat throughout a predetermined duration of the disinfection mode. Associated attachments and methods are also provided.
An anal irrigation system and related methods for maintaining
An anal irrigation system and a method for maintenance of an anal irrigation system comprising a tube assembly is disclosed, the method comprising a container and a tube assembly, the method comprising: providing instructions instructing a user to arrange a distal end of the tube assembly in the container for forming a liquid path and to fill liquid into the container; detecting liquid in the container; initiating a disinfection procedure, the disinfection procedure comprises; circulating the liquid in the liquid path for one or more cycles, the one or more cycles comprise one or more liquid circulations; providing instructions instructing the user to discharge liquid from the liquid path.
Smart Electronic Mask and Inhaler
Provided is a smart inhaler and wearable smart mask configured to operate as an air ionizer and a controlled multi-liquid atomizer. The smart mask and smart inhaler use a mature technology to deliver various types of liquid solutions to different applications from health care, drug delivery, immunization to recreational and gaming uses. In addition, the smart mask contains multiple actuators to provide haptic feedback to the areas around the mask. The smart mask and inhaler have a direct communication path to a smart device or it can be a smart device by itself; its various environmental and gas sensors act as a feedback mechanism. The detection level of the organic and non-organic VOC gas emitted when exhaling can be communicated and stored for analysis purposes. The detected gas can be regenerated on the same smart mask or a different remote smart mask.
Devices, systems and methods for treating multiple medical devices having passageways with ozone gas
The present disclosure is generally related to systems, methods and devices for providing ozone treatment of multiple medical devices including passageways. In particular the systems, methods and devices may attach to multiple medical devices and clean, disinfect and/or sterilize the inner space of the tubes, including the areas most prone for bacteria buildup. A multi-channel ozone treatment device has an ozone operating system and a distribution line that splits into a plurality of distribution channels to distribute ozone to a plurality of ozone ports in a gas-tight compartment. A multi-port connector unit for connecting to a plurality of passageways in the gas-tight compartment is further disclosed.
MEDICAL TUBE CLEARANCE DEVICE
Methods and devices for actuating a clearance device to clear obstructive debris from medical tubes are disclosed. More particularly, a shuttle that includes a first primary magnetic element that is adapted to magnetically engage and translate a magnetic guide within a tube is disclosed.
